There is a chapter where you don't go out
....
"Fire!" Xiao Ping's voice rang out across the desolate land within a 1000-meter radius, still scarred from the beast's attack minutes earlier.
BANG! A loud gunshot echoed, followed by a small, fast-moving sphere of blackish-purple energy. The recoil slammed into Xiao Ping violently, but James quickly caught him.
"Ping! Are you okay? I told you not to use it while you're at such a low level! This will seriously damage your body, you reckless fool!" James spoke while steadying Xiao Ping.
"Yes, I know this! But without using the Abyss Gun, I have no chance fighting alongside you against him!" Xiao Ping spoke, looking at the person who had retreated several meters when they attacked him.
James said nothing more. Xiao Ping's words were right—mid-level abilities suppress lower-level powers, allowing them to use only 45% of their strength! This meant certain death for lower-level individuals… and this suppression effect persists even at higher levels.
James looked at the Silver Ray in his hand, pulsating with a light that illuminated and dispelled the darkness around him.
"This is going to be difficult!" James said while looking at that person.
"You're right again!" Xiao Ping replied, a faint smile appearing on his lips.
Seeing Xiao Ping, that person could only be surprised by his opponent's weakness.
'What? He can't even steady himself from the recoil! This means he has no experience using it, and it seems he obtained it recently! Hahahaha, when I kill them both, I'll take those artifacts from them!' The person mocked inwardly and said aloud, "Do you think a level four gunshot will scare me?"
Xiao Ping didn't respond. Instead, he watched the black and purple sphere emitting stormy winds around it as it shot toward that person, but it suddenly veered upward and missed.
"Kekekekekeke! At least try to aim the attack at me!" the person laughed demonically, but then heard a shattering sound echo through the void.
He turned and saw that the attack that veered upward had created a small, spherical rift in the sky.
"What? What's happening here! Why is there a rift?!" the person shouted, questioning what he saw.
But at that moment, James appeared before him with incredible speed, aiming his gun muzzle at him and saying, "Fire!"
BANG! A loud gunshot echoed, followed by a strange light illuminating the area.
"Damn it," the person said while barely dodging the sneak attack.
"Oh! You have very high physical speed! But unfortunately, you couldn't completely avoid it!" James said while blowing air from his gun muzzle, looking at the person before him whose stomach had been strangely erased by that gunshot.
"It seems I severely underestimated these guns!" the person replied while regenerating his body back to its original state, his eyes gleaming with a cold purple light.
"Damn it! He has a supernatural regeneration ability… this makes him immortal!" Xiao Ping said, looking cautiously at that person.
"Why am I encountering so many immortals today!" James said lazily while aiming a curved kick at the person.
The person blocked the curved kick, but his feet were forcefully driven into the ground.
"Too strong," Xiao Ping said while rushing quickly toward James and the person. Although he was subject to the law of weakness against higher levels, he possessed a strange energy flowing within him, pushing him powerfully. Besides, he had a refined artifact helping him endure that law slightly.
"I will kill you!" the person roared while releasing numerous vines pulsating with crimson and dark blue colors, directing them at James before him and also at Xiao Ping, who was rushing toward him.
James easily and skillfully dodged those vines! But Xiao Ping struggled slightly in his evasion, though he managed to escape them.
A demonic smile appeared on that person's face, and at that moment, all the vines that Xiao Ping and James had dodged suddenly exploded, creating powerful chain explosions.
"Ping! Watch out!" James shouted while rushing quickly out of the explosion range, aiming his gun at the person.
BANG BANG!
James fired two shots of bright light at the person.
The person quickly disappeared before the shots reached him, causing a bright light explosion in his place and leaving two giant craters where they struck.
Xiao Ping moved quickly between the chain explosions but suffered pain from flying rock fragments that hit his back and feet. He gritted his teeth and continued running, jumping before the last vine aimed at him. He slammed his shoulder against its thorny surface—pulsing with crimson and dark blue—to avoid it and escape the subsequent explosion.
"Arghhh!" he groaned as a thorn pierced his right shoulder. But he didn't stop for long, quickly using his left hand to pull the thorn from his shoulder as blood flowed from the wound it left.
"AAAAAH!" Xiao Ping screamed in pain but quickly silenced himself by biting his lips, drawing blood from them too.
"Ping! Are you okay?!" James shouted when he heard Xiao Ping's scream.
"Where are you looking? Play with me!" that person said while directing dozens of vines at James.
"James! Focus on fighting him and don't worry about me!" Xiao Ping shouted loudly when he saw he had become a burden on James.
"But—" James wanted to say something when he heard Xiao Ping's words.
"No buts! I told you to focus because I'm going to do something crazy!" Xiao Ping shouted, a demonic smile appearing on his face. A bloody aura erupted around him, merging with the black and purple aura of the Black Abyss Gun in his hand. The wound on his shoulder slowly healed.
"Your call!" James replied while moving swiftly between those vines and charging at the person, who also moved toward James.
BOOM!
The sound of colliding fists echoed, resulting in stormy winds blowing.
"You're truly a skilled fighter!" the person praised while retreating, channeling an aura into his fist and aiming it at James.
"Am I really?" James replied dismissively while gathering aura in his fist and gun, aiming them at the person.
BANG!
The person quickly retracted his hand and dodged James's attack, flying high into the sky and beginning to spin in a circle at extremely high speed.
"Damn this gun! I'll make you spin until you die!" Saying that, he moved even faster, and winds began gathering in a single point beneath him, forming an air sphere spinning at tremendous speed. The person stopped and held it in his hand without any harm.
He raised his hand to the sky before activating his bloody aura and merging it with the air sphere... Then he looked at James and Xiao Ping below and said, "I'll make you both spin and turn into slices of meat!" Saying that, he threw it at them.
WHOOSH!
A fierce, powerful storm wind blew, pressing down on James's and Xiao Ping's bodies, causing their feet to sink into the ground due to the suffocating wind pressure.
"It's a tornado!" Xiao Ping shouted, rushing quickly toward the center of the air sphere that began taking the form of a giant bloody tornado. He continued, "Move to its center, and nothing will happen to you."
'He's asking me to head to the center of this huge tornado? Does he want to kill me? No… I don't think so. Ping doesn't say things lightly!' James thought while saying, "Alright!"
"Yes! Run to your deaths!" the person shouted while making the tornado move faster.
"We'll see who dies!" Xiao Ping said while firing a shot at the tornado's outer surface with his gun. A gap large enough for an adult's head appeared in the bloody tornado's winds. Xiao Ping didn't hesitate and quickly jumped into the gap, but his hat was taken by the wind, torn apart, and the gap quickly closed.
"Damn it! You'll pay for that!" Xiao Ping shouted angrily, his short hair violently moving.
He felt energy approaching from his side and saw that James had also followed him, using the same trick and losing his hat too... "Hey! That was my 91st hat!" James complained.
"Huh? You have that many hats?" Xiao Ping asked while looking around, seeing numerous giant rocks floating circularly inside the bloody tornado.
"Yes! Why?" James asked.
"Nothing, just focus on killing this bastard!" Xiao Ping said while running and jumping onto one of the rocks floating calmly in the middle of the tornado. James quickly followed, jumping onto another rock, and they began jumping from one floating rock to another, ascending the tornado toward the person above.
"Damn it, they survived!" the person grumbled while trying to send green vines into the tornado to attack James and Xiao Ping. But whenever he tried to insert them, the bloody tornado quickly sliced them apart and threw them away before they could explode.
Xiao Ping looked up and saw the tornado was enormous—so huge that the clouds seemed very close to it, appearing as if the tornado was forcibly pulling them inside. That person was at the top of the massive tornado funnel, looking down at them with demonic eyes. Behind him was only the crimson moonlight reflected in Xiao Ping's eyes. Xiao Ping couldn't fly to attack him since he was still at a low level, so a crazy idea occurred to him, and he looked at James.
"James! I have a plan!" Xiao Ping said while approaching the rock James was standing on.
"What is it?" James asked without any preamble.
"This!" Xiao Ping approached James's ear and told him the plan, causing James to show a faint demonic smile… His crimson eyes gleamed with madness.
"Let's do it! But you must stay as careful as possible because this is a huge, crazy risk!" James said while concealing the Silver Ray, transforming it into a ring… He interlocked his fingers while sitting on one foot and looked at Xiao Ping, who seemed ready to do something insane.
"You don't need to tell me that! Did you forget who I am?" Xiao Ping said while retreating a few steps on the floating rock, then ran toward James, who gathered energy in his interlocked palms.
"What does he want to do! No… this is madness!" the person spoke while looking at the mad duo in the middle of the tornado.
"Here I come!" Xiao Ping said while placing his foot on James's hands. James pushed him upward powerfully using the energy in his hands, launching Xiao Ping like a rocket toward the person in the sky above the clouds.
WHOOSH!
The push sent Xiao Ping rocketing toward the sky.
Xiao Ping gathered energy in the Abyss Gun while confidently aiming it at the person above without any fear.
The person in the sky looked coldly at the human projectile flying toward him. Only when he saw that Xiao Ping had exited the massive tornado vortex did a smile appear on his face. He moved his hand and commanded a thick vine to attack Xiao Ping from behind.
"Watch out!" James shouted when he saw that the vine didn't look like ordinary ones—it was thicker and stronger, emitting a powerful sound as it moved toward Xiao Ping's back.
A vision entered Xiao Ping's eyes of being pursued by a massive vine cleaving through the winds as it rushed toward his back. But he didn't fear it; instead, his smile grew more insane as he hurtled toward the person in the sky, still gathering energy in the Black Abyss Gun.
"You're truly insane!" the person said while gathering immense, bloody energy and pointing his palm at Xiao Ping. His aura grew more frenzied every second, as if he wanted to erase Xiao Ping from reality.
'Oh no, Ping!' James screamed internally while standing up, ready to snap his fingers and intervene to save Xiao Ping if things got out of control. He wasn't rushing to save him because he trusted that Xiao Ping wouldn't do such things unless he had a specific goal—this was what he'd learned from him after many conversations since meeting him today.
So he just looked upward, those crimson, black-purple, and bloody auras strangely reflected in his crimson eyes… His clothes fluttered violently, and he felt chills running deep through his body—not from fear, but from excitement to witness the birth of a supreme talent that would flip the scales in the Void World with him in the future. He had fought many fierce battles over ten years since age nine, but he'd never felt this excited before.
"Ping, finish him!" James shouted while feeling ecstatic.
"I won't just do that! I'll completely destroy him," Xiao Ping replied while his eyes emitted a green flash in the dark sky under the crimson moonlight… The immense energy in his body moved, and he said, "Black Hole!" A pitch-black flash launched, darkening the night further, overwhelming the crimson light in the sky, and bringing an eclipse.
"Kekekekekeke, you didn't let me finish the name of my great technique earlier, so I'll let you taste it first," the person laughed demonically and said, "Total Annihilation!" A light erupted, illuminating the sky once more with crimson light, moving through the pitch darkness, and rushing toward Xiao Ping's attack in the sky.
"This is too much for someone only at level one!" James praised the beast launching into the sky while… his left eye began displaying strange words swirling within it. He continued, "This will cause massive destruction, and Ping's body might not withstand it!"
The two attacks moved: one shooting upward, sucking everything into it like a giant black hole flying toward the sky; the other like a crimson moon in the sky illuminating everything red as it moved toward the earth… And when they met in the middle…
