"Oh! What do we have here? Spectators without tickets! How insulting!" said that person while looking at the people flying in the air, before adding: "You should leave while I'm allowing you to, otherwise don't blame me for killing you, you noble dogs!"
"You, how dare you!" shouted one of them, directing his hand toward that person. A blue energy emerged from his hand, growing larger and larger, and he said: "Judgment!"
The energy shot out in the shape of a celestial X, illuminating the night sky for moments before descending rapidly toward that person.
"Then prepare to die!" that person said as he raised his hand and pulled that energy toward himself, stopping it with his hand without it exploding or causing him any harm.
"Collective attack!" shouted the guard in the front, soon ordering the others to send their attacks toward him. Because of this, the night sky filled with different lights from various energies.
But none of them exploded; they only stopped above that person's hand, who wore a devilish expression on his face.
"What in the—" one guard tried to say when vines shot out at high speed and severed his head. His body remained flying in the air like a bloody fountain.
"What happened?" asked one guard, looking at his friend's corpse beside him, from which blood was gushing profusely.
"It's a plant! Moving too fast!" someone responded.
"Damn it!" that person said while using his energy to stop his friend's bleeding. But suddenly, a strange energy appeared from his friend's body, interfering with his energy and causing him to lose control.
He began fighting his colleagues with madness and extreme violence, but at that moment, his head also flew off, forming another bloody fountain.
"It's the Curse of the Crimson Moon!" someone screamed after recognizing the symptoms his colleague had just experienced.
"Damn it! Attack him!" the front guard shouted as he charged at high speed toward that person, followed by the other guards.
"Yes, yes! I love to see blood, I love to see this under the crimson moonlight!" that person spoke madly while throwing that energy toward the guards charging at him.
But the guards pooled their energies and said in unison: "Judgment!" The attacks merged together, forming a giant ball of energy. However, before they could throw it at that person, someone teleported them instantly along with that man and also pushed their attacks into the sky above Frendenstream City.
BOOOOOOM!
A massive explosion occurred in the sky, blocking the crimson moonlight from the earth with that smoke cloud in the sky. This also changed the severe windstorms in the air.
"Kekekekeke! More, more!" that person laughed while grabbing one guard by the neck, lifting him high, and saying: "Where are your colleagues? Aha, I know, they evaporated, didn't they?"
"Damn you!" cursed the guard, the only survivor of that suicidal explosion. He said: "You'll pay for this!"
"Pay for what? I warned you, you noble dogs earlier, but you didn't listen to me, so this is what you deserve!" With those words, that person severed the guard's neck... and grabbed him. His body moved strangely until it finally stopped, leaving only that blood spraying like a fountain, staining his body and that person's face with bloody red—a terrifying sight under the crimson moonlight that seemed very close at that moment.
Shadows were reflected over Frendenstream City, and several moving shadows flew toward the sky.
Those shadows circled around that person in a strange and mysterious way. That person inserted his hand into the still-beating heart of that guard... and uttered strange words that swirled around the heart and merged with it. Just as he was about to open his mouth to eat it, at that moment, a beast's shadow appeared directly behind him. The person tried to react, but it was too late.
It swung its massive tail, which was glowing with a strange dark blue energy on its scales, before striking that person directly in the head and sending him crashing to the ground with immense force. That person didn't realize what happened at that moment; even the heart in his hand disappeared.
All he realized then was the moment of impact that made him close his eyes for the first time.
BOOOOOOM!
A massive and violent explosion echoed, sweeping away many buildings in front of the huge gate of the nobles' district walls. A large portion of the wall shattered due to that tremendous explosion, creating a giant crater with a mushroom-shaped smoke cloud rising from it.
The beast roared in the sky while gathering all its energy. Its scales began to glow with a dark blue color from the tip of its tail to its head. Then, it gathered immense energy in its body, opened its gigantic mouth, aimed it at the fallen person's location, and unleashed a terrifying, powerful attack from the sky toward the earth.
It descended like a colossal lightning bolt, illuminating everything within a 1000-meter diameter with dark blue light at that moment!
BOOOOOOOM!
It passed through that mushroom-shaped smoke cloud, dispersing it entirely in an instant. In the next moment, a blindingly bright white flash erupted, covering and dazzling all sight. After that, waves of terrifying energy erupted from within that crater, turning everything within a 1000-meter radius to ashes—meaning thirty percent of Frendenstream City turned to ash.
There was nothing or no living being left in that area except that beast, which emitted energy sparks from its mouth, its eyes gleaming with a bloody hue in an awe-inspiring scene.
---
A few minutes earlier!
Steve and Lewin were running toward the northern street to safely deliver Miss Shane to the person in charge of the northern headquarters when they sensed several energies approaching them.
"Lewin!" said Steve.
"Yes, I can feel them!" said Lewin, looking around.
Suddenly, people emerged from the shadows and stood on the rooftops in front of them, looking with expressionless faces at Steve and Lewin, who had taken defensive stances.
"Steve! You must save Miss Shane because protecting her life is the utmost priority now. So escape quickly and get her to safety while I finish them off!" said Lewin, taking out a staff with three strange faces on it, emitting different lights from each eye socket of those skulls.
"No, that's impossi—" Steve wanted to object, but Lewin waved that strange staff... hurled him away, and stood before those monsters.
The monsters screamed frighteningly and charged from all sides toward Lewin.
"Show me what you can do, you vile ghosts!" said Lewin as she released her energy.
But at that moment, she felt a massive explosion in the sky, and powerful blast winds rushed toward her... sweeping her into a house to crash against it.
"Arghhhh!" she groaned, spitting blood.
"Damn it!" she said to herself and looked toward the shadows that were no longer in front of her. But she didn't relax much, as a wave of energy from an even more powerful explosion hit her moments after the previous one, sweeping her and that house away to an unknown location.
---
288 meters from the city center.
Loughart was holding one of the shadows by the neck, spinning it in the sky, then looked down at Lizzie, who had killed many of those shadows, destroying many houses in the process.
"Good work!" said Loughart as he descended from the sky to the street below, half of which had been destroyed by Lizzie.
"Thank you, Commander!" Lizzie thanked Loughart cheerfully.
"I think you should control your power a bit!" said Loughart, looking at those holes in the houses and the street... and continued: "We should go to support Guther!"
"Commander, it's not like they're real houses! And also, I don't want to go save that pervert!" Lizzie replied with an indifferent expression.
"But he's still your colleague! If you don't come with me, I might deduct from your salary!" he said while starting to fly slowly.
"Alright, alright, I'll come only for my salary, not for that pervert!" Lizzie said as she flew beside Loughart.
But at that moment, a violent explosion echoed in the sky before sending strong winds crashing into them.
"Hold onto me tightly!" said Loughart, extending his hand to Lizzie, who was struggling against the severe winds.
"Yes, Commander!" Lizzie grabbed her commander's hand, her long hair and crimson dress violently moving with those winds.
"This is a very powerful explosion," said Loughart while creating an energy barrier around himself and Lizzie.
"Yes, that's right—" Lizzie was about to say something when she felt powerful energy waves hitting her commander's barrier.
"Try to hold on with all your strength!" Loughart shouted while giving instructions to Lizzie, who mobilized her energy and reinforced the barrier. After Loughart confirmed she could endure, he disappeared from her side and appeared in the sky. Those waves struck him, but he remained completely unaffected.
"Guther!" said Loughart as he shot toward the southern side of Frendenstream City.
