It was hard to say how much time Aleric spent outside of the camp, but he felt like it was too long.
He KNEW it was too long when he heard distant sounds of fighting over the thumps of his horse's hooves.
"This was a coordinated attack… It was!" Aleric hissed. "What's your name… Farlan, you still don't remember anything about Garron's most recent plans?"
The zombie was riding behind Aleric's saddle. For any living person, being so close to an undead for so long would've been nearly painful, but Aleric was pained only by bits of Farlan's gear that were into his back.
All for speed. At least for Aleric and Farlan—the rest of his recent servants were left far behind.
"No, master, I don't remember," Farlan replied.
"Then be ready. We will likely see the battle soon…"
