"H-Hey now. We made a contract, remember? You can't hurt me."
A faint smile appeared on Rachel's face.
Before I could even react, a flash of light blinded me. A moment later, I found myself embedded several meters into a wall. On the other hand, Rachel was lying on the ground, seemingly unconscious.
But just a second later, she rose from the ground and rubbed her eyes.
Only then did I realize that she somehow knew how to bypass the contract. Albeit, judging from how plainly she was looking at me, and how there was no intent behind any of her movements, I knew she only did this just now to show me that she could do it.
"Is this your way of paying me back?" I asked.
I glanced down and realized there was a huge hole in my abdomen. Had I been a normal person, I would've already been dead.
But since I wasn't a normal person, the wound began to quickly mend itself. In just a few moments, my skin was as smooth as porcelain again.
