Chapter 27 - Report

Thursday, September 24th.

[Infinite Money System]

[Total System Balance: ¥1,240.00]

[Available System Balance: ¥1,240.00]

[Personal Balance: ¥7,065.00]

Lin Feng looked at his balance.

After Zhang Wei had implemented online payments, they had also transferred all the earned money to Li Jun, who was now keeping track of their funds.

At that moment, the door swung open.

Li Jun and Chen Ming walked in, each carrying bags of goods. They set them down and took seats next to Lin Feng and Zhang Wei.

"What's the report?" Lin Feng said. He turned to Zhang Wei. "Let's start with you."

Zhang Wei finally looked up from his laptop, pushing it aside slightly.

"I made some changes to the UI," he began. "Nothing major - just cleaned up a few things to make navigation smoother. The bigger update is on the backend. I improved our analytics page so we can track orders, popular items, and peak times more easily."

"I also added a small feature that flags orders made through the legacy payment system. When you see an order, there'll be a small indicator if it still requires payment on delivery. Should make things much easier to handle."

Lin Feng nodded approvingly. "Good work."

He then turned to Chen Ming. "Your turn."

Chen Ming straightened up, clearly eager to share.

"I've been doing market research," he said. "Checking the group chats, talking to people around campus. Overall, the reception is pretty good." He paused. "Though I have to say - the majority still thinks we're running some kind of MLM scheme."

Lin Feng sighed. That wasn't entirely unexpected.

"That being said," Chen Ming continued, his tone shifting to something more intrigued, "I discovered something interesting from the people who are actually using our service."

"What is it?"

"It's called the 'Noodles Strat.'"

Lin Feng raised an eyebrow. "The what?"

"The Noodles Strat," Chen Ming repeated, clearly amused. "Basically, you order cup noodles in the morning and select the evening delivery window. By the time you get off class, your noodles are waiting for you. Convenient and cheaper."

Lin Feng facepalmed.

I have an idea of who came up with that.

"I guess noodles will be our most popular item then," he muttered.

Chen Ming leaned forward. "Should we be bringing more from storage?"

Lin Feng shook his head. "According to this 'strat,' they're ordering in the morning but selecting evening delivery. There's no need to trouble ourselves carrying extra stock around during the day." He paused. "In fact, we can bring less of them during the morning window and just pick them up during the evening run."

Chen Ming nodded, understanding the logic.

Lin Feng then turned to Li Jun. "And you?"

Li Jun pulled out his phone and scrolled through some notes.

"Here's the data from yesterday," he said.

He cleared his throat and began reading.

"Total orders: 15. Total items sold: 27. Revenue: 243 yuan. Cost of goods sold: 146 yuan."

He swiped to another screen.

"As for our current assets - we have 2,501 yuan in cash, and our remaining inventory is valued at 1,096 yuan at cost."

Lin Feng did the mental math. With a gross profit of 97 yuan on day one, it wasn't spectacular, but it was a start.

"Anything else?" he asked.

Li Jun nodded. "I've heard some complaints while walking around. Nothing major - mostly about delivery times and wanting more product variety."

Lin Feng turned to Zhang Wei.

"Work on a support ticket system," he said. "Something simple where customers can submit complaints or suggestions. Having a proper channel to listen to feedback would be helpful."

Zhang Wei nodded. "I can have something basic ready by tomorrow."

"Good."

Lin Feng looked around at his three roommates.

"Alright then," he said. "Let's begin day two."

Chen Ming sat in one of the middle rows, scrolling through something on his phone.

A man walked into the classroom and made his way to the front. He picked up a marker and wrote on the whiteboard in large, clear strokes:

Computer Basics

He turned to face the students and introduced himself briefly.

Just as he glanced at the clock, a knock came from the door.

He walked over and opened it.

Sun Xiao stood at the entrance, with the rest of Finance Class 03 crowded behind her.

"What took you so long?" the teacher asked, his tone neutral but expectant.

Sun Xiao bowed apologetically. "I'm sorry, sir. We had trouble finding the room."

The man shook his head and stepped aside. "Find a place to sit," he said.

The students flooded into the room.

Lin Feng walked beside Su Yue, scanning the rows for any empty seats.

"Boss Lin! Boss Lin!" a voice called out.

Lin Feng turned toward the sound and spotted Chen Ming waving enthusiastically, gesturing to the empty seats beside him.

Su Yue noticed too. Her brow furrowed slightly.

"Boss Lin?" she asked, looking at him with curiosity.

"Let's sit here," Lin Feng said, moving toward Chen Ming.

They settled into the seats. Lin Feng gestured toward Su Yue.

"This is my classmate, Su Yue," he said to Chen Ming. Then he turned to her. "And this is my roommate, Chen Ming."

"Roommate?" Su Yue's eyes lit up with recognition. "Oh, the one you started a business with?"

Lin Feng nodded.

She nodded slowly, piecing it together. "So that's what 'Boss Lin' meant."

For a moment there, she had been surprised. She had half-imagined he was some young master who had come to school to experience ordinary life - the type who had servants enrolled in different classes just so he could roam freely.

She shook her head internally.

What am I thinking? This isn't some novel.

She glanced at Lin Feng from the corner of her eye.

But he really does act like those young masters sometimes. He doesn't talk much. He's secretive and mysterious. And he has that look... like he sees through everything.

Meanwhile, Chen Ming's gaze shifted between Lin Feng and Su Yue. His eyes narrowed as he analyzed the way she looked at his roommate.

He nodded slowly, as if reaching a profound conclusion.

Then he stood up and extended his hand toward Su Yue with a bright smile.

"Greetings, sister-in-law."

Lin Feng almost choked on air.

What is this guy doing?!

Su Yue's face flushed crimson. "Sister... in law?" she muttered, her voice barely a whisper.

Lin Feng grabbed Chen Ming by the shoulder and forced him back into his seat.

"It's not like that," he said firmly.

"It's not?" Chen Ming tilted his head, glancing at the flustered Su Yue. "But…"

Lin Feng ignored him and turned to Su Yue.

"Ignore him," he said. "He likes to joke like that."

"Mm," she nodded, still slightly pink.

Lin Feng sighed internally.

What is this, some kind of drama?

At that moment, the teacher's voice cut through the chatter.

"Will the class monitor for this class please stand up?"

A young man rose from his seat in the next row. He was dressed decently - short black hair, glasses, a composed demeanor.

Heads turned to look at him.

So did Lin Feng.

His expression froze.

No way...

Although he looked extremely different now compared to what Lin Feng remembered. He was certain of it.

He is...
