After breakfast, Lucille had been sitting on the lawn, teasing Dobby and Ponyo with a strip of cloth. Regina, Hazel and Felix were busy sparring, though without utilizing their abilities.
And then, the air suddenly shifted. A ripple of energy spread in the yard. Before Lucille could even lift her head, Ashrik stepped out of thin air with Isaac beside him.
"You guys are back!"
"Brother Zhai! Brother Mu!"
When the others cried out in surprise, she froze, and the cloth slipped from her fingers. Both dogs perked up, sniffing curiously, but her eyes were already locked on him alone.
He's back!
Lucille hurriedly stood up, brushing off her pants awkwardly. She stared at Ashrik in disbelief before a sense of relief took over. She didn't know how brightly her eyes had lit up.
"Brother Ash..." she breathed, her voice barely above a whisper. "You're back..."
