"Watch out...!" shouted Scarlett who then swiftly pulled the body of the middle-aged woman who was about to be hit by the car to the side of the road.
As a result, Scarlett and the woman fell together on the side of the road, both of them were gasping for breath in shock.
"Madam, are you okay?" Scarlett asked worriedly.
The middle-aged woman nodded while still panting because she was really shocked.
"Thank you for saving Grandma, Grandma owes you a debt of gratitude," said the middle-aged woman whose appearance still looked very modern and elegant.
Scarlett just nodded with a smile, then helped the woman stand up.
"You are very beautiful, what is your name darling?" asked the woman.
"My name is Scarlett Aurora Whitmore," replied Scarlett, blushing.
"A very beautiful name, on par with the person. Just call me Grandma Victoria," said Grandma Victoria, introducing herself.
Again, Scarlett just nodded and smiled kindly at Grandma Victoria.
"If Grandma looks at you, it doesn't look like you're from this city, is that true?"
"Yes Grandma, I'm from Caramel-by-the-sea California," admitted Scarlett, a little sad, remembering the unfortunate incident she had just experienced.
Scarlett was pickpocketed a few hours ago when she was about to get off the bus. Scarlett had just set foot in the capital but she already had bad luck, so Scarlett was walking without direction and aim according to her heart's wishes and instead she met Grandma Victoria who was about to be hit by a car.
"Did you come here empty-handed?" Grandma Victoria asked questioningly because she saw that Scarlett wasn't carrying any luggage.
Scarlett smiled faintly, this beautiful 24 year old girl was actually reluctant to tell people she had just met about the incident she had just experienced, especially since Scarlett knew that the person she was dealing with was an elite person, Scarlett was afraid that she would be accused of asking for compensation or whatever.
"No, Grandma. Emm why can you walk alone like that? Sorry, don't you have children or grandchildren?" Scarlett asked, seeming to change the conversation.
"Grandma doesn't have children anymore, she's dead. I only have one grandson, the driver told me to go home because i wanted to go alone to the cafe in front, but ended up getting hit by a car. Luckily you're there, darling, thank you," said Grandma Victoria, smiling at Scarlett and thanking her.
"Yes Grandma, you're welcome."
"Scarlett, it's better for you to go with Grandma now, Grandma knows you'll end up getting pickpocketed, right? "It's impossible for you to go all the way without bringing anything," inquired Grandma Victoria.
Scarlett nodded slowly.
"Then let's go home with Grandma, living on the streets of the city is very unsafe."
"Yes Grandma, thank you."
Grandma Victoria then fiddled with her device and ordered a taxi online. The 65 year old woman who still looked very youthful then took turns holding Scarlett's hand into the taxi she ordered. For some reason, she was immediately fascinated by Scarlett's natural beauty. Grandma Victoria wants to take Scarlett to her house and surprise her only grandson, Julian Theodore Caldwell, a handsome actor whose career is currently on the rise.
Arriving at Grandma Victoria's house, Scarlett's eyes widened completely because she was amazed by the luxurious American style house with floors covered in expensive marble. Scarlett didn't expect to be able to set foot in this super luxury house, considering that the house was very simple.
The more she went inside, the more amazed she became by the splendor of the house which was dominated by white, Scarlett's eyes couldn't stop tracing one by one the luxury items in Grandma Victoria's super spacious four-story house.
"Grandma won't mind if you stay here darling, it's Grandma's return for your kindness," said Grandma Victoria as she invited Scarlett to sit at the all-white, classic-style dining table.
"But, I don't want to bother Grandma," said Scarlett politely.
"No, darling. Just obey Grandma's words," she said firmly.
Scarlett just nodded with a little hesitation, in her heart she was very happy to be able to live in a super magnificent house for free, but on the other hand she was also sad because actually her goal in NYC was to meet her sister's acquaintance who is a leader in an artist management company that oversees several well-known artists. Yes, Scarlett really wants to become a famous artist.
"Later, Grandma will introduce you to Grandma's grandson, he is a famous artist. You must have seen it often on television!" consoled Grandma, who was a little aware of Scarlett's anxiety.
"Really Grandma? Who is he?" Scarlett asked impatiently.
"Julian Theodore, you must know him, right?"
Scarlett nodded happily, she really idolized Julian Theodore Caldwell, a handsome 27 year old actor who has successfully starred in several soap operas and feature films.
"Really? "I really idolize Grandma, I even like to collect some of her photos in my room," admitted Scarlett shyly.
Grandma Victoria nodded while laughing at that. She was happy that Scarlett idolized her grandson because she had a plan for her grandson.
"Okay, while we wait for Julian to come home, let's eat first." Invite Grandma Victoria to get rice for Scarlett.
Scarlett nodded while continuing to pinch her own thigh without Grandma Victoria knowing. Scarlett was afraid that this was all just a dream, but it turned out that this beautiful girl was experiencing real pain.
"Then this isn't a dream," Scarlett thought happily.
How could it not be, this is the first time Scarlett has sat at such a luxurious dining table with a super delicious full meal, plus Grandma Victoria promised to introduce her to her grandson who is an artist she really admires. Scarlett doesn't even need to push Julian Fans.
"Did you like the food, Scarlett?" asked Grandma Victoria, who had been watching Scarlett.
"Yes Grandma, thank you for this super delicious dish," replied Scarlett with a beautiful smile.
Victoria also nodded happily, and in the midst of Scarlett's enjoyment of enjoying lunch with Victoria, Julian came who immediately made Scarlett forget about her food and gape in amazement at her idol, who turned out to be so handsome, standing in front of her.
"Who is she, Grandma? I don't like strangers in this house."
Scarlett immediately became nervous and looked uncomfortable.
"Julian, watch your mouth! "She's not a stranger, she's an angel who saved Grandma's life," defended Victoria.
