Bardock looked down at Guldo, who stood below the throne, his eyes sharp and dangerous.
"You mean… Frieza is still alive?"
Guldo wiped the cold sweat from his forehead and nodded quickly.
"It's absolutely true, Your Majesty."
Bardock snorted coldly.
"Tell me everything you know. If you hide even a single detail, you already know the consequences."
Guldo trembled and nodded repeatedly before beginning his explanation.
"As far as I know, when Your Majesty went berserk and nearly killed him, Frieza—being a member of the Frost Demon race—was forced to use a life-saving technique unique to their clan."
Unfortunately, Guldo's status in the Frieza Force had never been high enough for him to know exactly what that technique was.
While speaking, Guldo secretly watched Bardock's expression.
According to him, after Paragus and the others had left that battlefield, Dodoria, who had been chasing Prince Vegeta, returned to the area and discovered Frieza on the verge of death.
Dodoria rescued him.
Frieza was first transported to the planet where his father, King Cold, was recovering.
However, after Frieza regained consciousness, his physical condition was extremely poor.
Several of his limbs were missing.
At the same time, the Saiyan Empire was rapidly taking over Frieza's former territories.
With nowhere left to go, Frieza was forced to flee to the West Galaxy, where his brother King Kevlar ruled.
Bardock leaned slightly forward on the throne.
"Did King Kevlar help him so easily?"
Guldo answered immediately.
"At first, King Kevlar hesitated."
"But after all, Frieza is his brother. In the end, out of respect for King Cold, Kevlar ordered his scientists to fully modify Frieza's body."
"Last month, the Ginyu Force, who had been hiding across the galaxy, received a message from Frieza."
"They went to the Galaxy Patrol Headquarters, where they met him."
"In the end, Frieza assigned us to serve as Du'aluo's bodyguards and sent us here to Saiyan Star to carry out the decapitation operation."
After hearing everything, Bardock leaned lazily against the throne again, deep in thought.
"So Frieza has already occupied the Galaxy Patrol Headquarters."
"What about the Galaxy King? Is that big octopus still alive?"
Guldo nodded nervously.
"Yes, Your Majesty."
"Frieza intends to use the Galaxy King to issue orders to the planets under his rule, so he kept him alive. The Galaxy King is currently imprisoned."
Bardock narrowed his eyes.
"Is there anything else?"
He never ignored intelligence about his enemies.
Mocking them was fine, but underestimating them in reality would be foolish.
Guldo hesitated for a moment before speaking again.
"There is one more thing."
"Frieza said his combat power has surpassed his previous self."
"The last time I saw him at the Galaxy Patrol Headquarters, his entire body was covered in golden light."
"He claimed that he had reached the legendary realm of his race…"
"The Golden Demon."
Bardock's relaxed expression disappeared instantly.
"You're certain he said Golden Demon?"
Guldo nodded.
"That's exactly what he said."
Bardock frowned deeply.
Frieza becoming Golden so quickly?
Impossible.
In Bardock's memories, Frieza had been tortured in Hell for decades before eventually achieving Golden Frieza after only three months of training.
Did my defeat push him that far?
Paragus spoke up.
"Your Majesty, didn't Guldo say Frieza was mechanically modified?"
"Perhaps the machinery used to rebuild him was golden."
"Frieza might just be exaggerating to save face."
Bardock suddenly slapped the throne's armrest and stood up.
"That's very possible!"
"Knowing Frieza's personality, that explanation makes perfect sense."
Then Bardock looked back at Guldo.
"By the way, is there a blue-skinned elite patrolman named Mels at the Galaxy Patrol Headquarters?"
Guldo lowered his head and thought carefully before shaking it.
"No, Your Majesty. I've never heard of such a person."
Bardock nodded calmly.
Good.
If Mels had been present, Frieza wouldn't even dream of occupying the Galaxy Patrol Headquarters.
Bardock knew from his previous life that Mels, despite looking like a harmless clown, was actually an Angel trainee, the younger brother of Whis, and possibly even the Grand Priest's son.
Working for the Galaxy Patrol was simply part of his training.
If a new universe ever appeared in the future, Mels would likely become its supervising Angel.
Bardock stood up and turned to Paragus.
"Paragus, let's go check on that idiot Garna."
After his body had been restored, Garna looked like a man who had lost his soul.
Toma had already carried him to the Imperial Hospital.
Now that the crisis was over, Bardock decided to visit the fourth strongest Saiyan.
Paragus nodded quickly.
"Yes, Your Majesty."
After leaving the throne hall, Bardock glanced at Guldo.
"From now on, you will guard the Royal Hall."
Guldo immediately straightened his posture.
"I guarantee I will complete the mission, Your Majesty!"
"As long as I'm here, not even an ant will enter without your permission!"
Bardock nodded approvingly.
"Good energy."
"When you have free time, practice holding your breath."
"Your breath-holding ability is still too short."
Guldo saluted firmly.
"Yes, Your Majesty! I will train diligently and never disappoint you!"
Soon, Bardock and Paragus arrived at the Imperial Hospital.
There were many Saiyans—like Gine—who weren't particularly interested in fighting.
To allow them to contribute to the Saiyan race while protecting injured warriors, important facilities such as hospitals and schools were staffed only by Saiyans.
Outsiders were strictly forbidden from entering.
If an outsider was discovered, their entire race would be wiped out.
Even before entering the ward, Bardock heard loud arguing inside.
"Toma, you bastard! Stop pacing back and forth in front of me! You're making me dizzy!" Garna shouted weakly.
Toma laughed.
"Hey, you're already sick and you still have such a temper. I'm just concerned about you."
Garna rolled his eyes.
"You call this concern? You ate all my fruit!"
Toma scratched his head awkwardly.
"I was just testing it for poison."
At that moment, Bardock and Paragus walked into the room.
Seeing the two bickering, Bardock couldn't help but laugh.
When Garna noticed Bardock, he tried to get up and salute.
But Bardock waved him back down.
"Stay lying down. Don't strain yourself."
Toma leaned closer to Bardock and whispered flatteringly.
"Your Majesty, you should've seen him earlier. This guy was shouting in his sleep about fighting again."
Garna glared angrily at him.
"No one will think you're mute if you stop talking."
Toma pretended to be frightened and stepped back dramatically.
"Oh? The sick cat is getting fierce again."
"I wonder who just had their body stolen earlier and looked like they were about to die."
"How about I prepare a furnace for you now so you won't have to rush to cremate yourself later?"
Garna gritted his teeth.
"When I recover, I'm going to duel you."
Bardock shook his head with a smile.
"You two really are a pair of clowns."
