"Earth? Never heard of it."
Beerus lounged lazily on the throne, one hand rubbing his stomach while the long nail of the other casually picked at his teeth.
"Whis, have you heard of this Earth?"
Whis elegantly finished his last bite of egg fried rice, took a sip of water, and smiled.
"I have not, Lord Beerus."
Beerus suddenly turned his head toward Bardock, his gaze sharp and suspicious.
"Are you sure there's food on Earth that tastes even better than this egg fried rice?"
In order to hitch a ride to Earth, Bardock went all in, promoting it without restraint.
"Absolutely, Lord Beerus. I'd stake my head on it!"
"Earth is a rare gourmet planet. The variety of dishes there is unbelievable, and the flavors are completely unique. I guarantee you'll eat until you're fully satisfied!"
Beerus narrowed his eyes slightly. As a top-tier foodie, he was clearly tempted.
"Then do you know where Earth is?"
Bardock nodded immediately, smiling with confidence. "Of course. Earth is located in the Solar System of the North Galaxy."
Beerus stood up abruptly and shouted, "Whis!"
Beerus trusted Whis completely. With coordinates this precise, even a vague direction would have been enough for him to find it.
Whis raised his staff, gazing into the crystal orb at its tip.
"Lord Beerus, I've located it. It's about a three-minute journey from Saiyan Star."
"Then what are we waiting for? Let's go!" Beerus placed his hand impatiently on Whis's shoulder.
Before Whis could respond, seven-colored light surged beneath their feet, wrapping around them.
"Wait—bring Bardock too," Beerus added suddenly. "If he dares to deceive a god, I'm too lazy to come back and find him later."
Whis didn't speak, but the radiant light expanded to envelop Bardock as well.
Bardock quietly exhaled in relief. Finally, I've hitched a ride.
Beerus said coldly, "Bardock, if Earth doesn't have the delicacies you promised, you're finished."
"Lord Beerus, don't worry," Bardock replied quickly. "You definitely won't be disappointed."
The three-minute journey Whis mentioned was conservative. In just two and a half minutes, they appeared in a city on Earth.
When the seven-colored light faded, Bardock immediately felt lighter, as if a heavy pressure had vanished.
He knew why—Earth's gravity was only one-tenth that of Saiyan Star.
"Bardock," Beerus ordered coolly, "take us to eat something good. Now."
Bardock looked at the familiar streets.
Though this Earth wasn't exactly the one from his memories, the feeling was strangely nostalgic, like returning home after a long journey.
He quickly scanned the area and led the two into a hot pot restaurant.
It was afternoon, and the place was empty—no customers, only a middle-aged owner guarding the register.
Seeing them enter, the boss smiled warmly. "Welcome!"
Bardock didn't hesitate. "One double-boiled hot pot—half spicy, half clear broth. Every side dish, one portion each. We'll add more if it's not enough."
The boss's eyes nearly disappeared from smiling. "Good, good, good! Please, have a seat."
After briefly explaining how hot pot worked, Bardock excused himself, saying he needed to buy a few local specialties.
Beerus waved dismissively, oil dripping from his mouth as he continued eating.
The moment Bardock stepped outside, worry crept in. Money… how am I paying for this?
Eating without paying? That would be humiliating—even for a Saiyan.
Fortunately, Earth's crime rate didn't disappoint.
Several robbers wearing black stockings over their heads roared past on motorcycles, police sirens wailing close behind.
Bardock watched the chaos and grinned. "Perfect timing."
He casually picked up a stone and flicked it forward. In an instant, multiple robbers were knocked off their bikes.
One screamed in terror, "What kind of monster is this?!"
Another begged, "Spare us, hero!"
Bardock ignored them, pulled a thick wad of Earth currency from one robber's pouch, and tucked it into his clothes.
Moments later, the police arrived. An officer stepped forward, eyes shining.
"Sir, you must be a martial artist! You're a hero of our city. We'd like to award you a Good Citizen Medal!"
Bardock waved his hands quickly. "Officer, it's nothing. Helping when you see injustice is just common sense."
He absolutely couldn't let them take photos or broadcast it. That kind of fame would be mockery material back on Saiyan Star.
The officer insisted, but Bardock said anxiously, "I have urgent matters to attend to," and hurried away.
He stopped by a convenience store, grabbed two large boxes of instant noodles, paid, and rushed back to the hot pot restaurant.
Inside, Beerus asked through a mouthful of food, "Why did that take so long?"
Bardock forced a smile. "I wanted to find even better food for you."
Whis picked up a cooked vegetable elegantly. "I hope it meets Lord Beerus's expectations."
"Definitely," Bardock nodded repeatedly.
He asked the owner for hot water.
The boss brought over a kettle, eyeing them suspiciously and muttering, "Instant noodles with hot pot… I've really seen everything."
Still, he said nothing.
Bardock personally demonstrated how to prepare the noodles. "Just add the noodles and seasoning, pour in hot water, and wait."
Beerus frowned. "That simple? Can it really be good?"
"You'll know once you try it," Bardock replied confidently.
After one bite, Beerus's expression softened. "I didn't expect something this simple to taste so good."
Whis also smiled in satisfaction. "Indeed. Bardock, you have excellent taste."
Bardock chuckled. "As long as you're satisfied."
In the end, Bardock bought out every hot pot base in the shop.
The boss stared in disbelief. "What are you planning to do with all that?"
"Taking it home to enjoy slowly," Bardock replied casually.
Whis waved his staff, storing everything neatly in his alternate dimension.
Beerus stood up. "Let's go, Whis."
The two transformed into streaks of seven-colored light and vanished instantly.
The boss stared at the empty seats, muttering to himself, "Just who were those people…?"
