Chapter 137 - Flesh and Blood Calamity 3

Just as the world was shocked by the events happening in Fengyue Country.

In a warehouse outside the capital of a small country with only a few million inhabitants.

A young Awakened One who had lost an arm knelt on the ground in terror, begging for mercy: "Please don't kill me, please give me a chance, I promise I won't do evil again."

On the surrounding ground lay dozens of gang members whose necks had been twisted and whose hands still clutched firearms.

Standing before the youth was a man wearing an ancient black and red opera robe and a white and red mask.

"Once you are all killed~ this country will have no more evil people~" The masked man said in a theatrical tone, gently waving his left hand.

Crack!

A shadow suddenly appeared on the ground and twisted the youth's neck.

Thump! The youth's body fell, and the masked man watched it all, his eyes flickering.

He reached up and took off his mask, revealing a somewhat rigid human face: "It's over. I've dealt with the biggest mastermind in Feilan Country, and now the nation is secure."

In recent days, he had killed and consumed all the dark forces in the country.

Even this force, established by Level Three Awakened, was easily eliminated by him.

Although he had eliminated these bad people, for some reason, he always felt a sense of emptiness inside.

"Over? No, you've only just begun!" An aged voice came from behind him.

Chen Xingwen, wearing a black Tang suit and a faint smile, stood behind him.

Liu Zhiyuan turned around, looked at the elder who had granted him this fortune, and respectfully said, "Elder Chen, what do you mean? With me here, there will never be another evil person in Feilan Country."

Chen Xingwen occasionally appeared beside him, providing him with intelligence on the dark forces within Feilan Country and discussing life ideals with him. He was a highly respected elder.

In him, he seemed to see the shadow of his deceased grandfather, and he silently regarded Chen Xingwen as his grandfather.

"Xiao Yuan, what do you think is the difference between foreigners and the people of Feilan Country?" Chen Xingwen walked up to him and said earnestly.

"Aren't they all the same? They are all human. There's no difference," Liu Zhiyuan replied, slightly confused.

Seeing this, Chen Xingwen said seriously, "If foreign people are oppressed and persecuted, what would you do?"

"I would take action and save them from their misery!" Liu Zhiyuan answered without hesitation.

"You can save them for a moment, but not forever, because there is a great mountain pressing down on people's heads, and that mountain is the Awakened Ones. They are high and mighty, treating human lives like dirt. The gangs you killed are nothing compared to them, and even the Xuanjian Division and the Bureau of Gods among the Awakened Ones are the worst of the worst!" Chen Xingwen's tone gradually became agitated, as if he himself had been persecuted by the Awakened Ones.

As he spoke, he pointed to the young Awakened One lying on the ground: "Just like him. He was merely a subordinate of the true mastermind behind Feilan Kingdom. Just one subordinate could control the entire underground world of Feilan Kingdom. How many innocent people were killed by him?"

"Elder Chen, I understand now. All evil is caused by these Awakened Ones. I will definitely eliminate the hateful Xuanjian Division and the Bureau of Gods and save the people of the world!" Liu Zhiyuan felt he had found his life's purpose, and his eyes began to shine.

"What you need to do now is first eliminate the Awakened Ones behind Feilan Country and become Level Four. Otherwise, it will be very difficult for you to destroy them." Chen Xingwen patted his shoulder with an approving look... Teya Alliance, inside the capital of Beka Kingdom.

Inside a grand hall in the royal palace, red wool carpets were laid, and oil paintings of past kings lined both sides.

Below the grey stone walls, every three meters stood a two-meter-tall statue of a soldier holding a sword or a spear.

King Ming walked in with a calm expression, wearing a white leather uniform and holding a brown book in his left hand.

At the end of his sight was a two-meter-long rectangular table.

At the table, the Director of the Bureau of Gods, Harvey Halley, was sitting in a purple-gold armchair, watching him.

"Geras, you're here." Harvey smiled.

King Ming showed a faint smile: "May I ask why the Director summoned me?"

He walked over to the table, where a black armchair was already prepared. He sat down, and immediately a maid came forward carrying two cups of coffee.

Harvey took a sip of coffee before slowly saying, "I wonder if you've been following the recent large-scale disappearances around the world."

King Ming's eyes flickered. He knew about this matter. Although the Bureau of Gods was not as strong as the Xuanjian Division, its intelligence capability was the best in the world.

Any matter that caught their attention usually already had a negative impact locally.

"Is it related to the Fengyue Country incident?" King Ming replied while sipping his coffee.

Harvey nodded, a thoughtful expression on his face: "After the incident in Rong City, I immediately ordered people to compile the recent missing persons statistics. At first, I thought these disappearances were the work of the Monster Association again, but after analysis by intelligence personnel, we found that this might be a new crisis—a crisis comparable to, or even exceeding, the Monster Association!"

"The Monster Association merely causes destruction and kills people, but these suddenly vanished populations were likely eaten. Combining this with the sudden news report that appeared, I immediately sent people to investigate Rong City, and sure enough, they found a large number of abandoned clothes, and even many bones in the suburbs."

As Harvey spoke, a subordinate in black immediately came up with a tablet for King Ming to see.

It was filled with pictures of white bones discovered in the suburbs of Rong City.

"As of now, the missing persons map I specially arranged to collect shows that on the continental map, these locations look too much like deliberate human actions, though we certainly can't rule out the Monster Association." Harvey's expression gradually grew serious.

The tablet in front of King Ming automatically switched to the continental map, showing eight red dots evenly distributed around Nanwu Country.

Each red dot was marked with the number of missing people, ranging from tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands, like Rong City's four or five hundred thousand.
