Chapter 104 - Battle

On the other side, the darkness surrounding Deng Mengcheng vanished, the original trees reappeared, and light shone down from above.

It was as if nothing had changed.

An arrogant look appeared on Deng Mengcheng's face: "As expected, you need to be Level Six to defeat me. Level Five is still insufficient."

He turned and walked toward the other battle areas. He needed to join the fight quickly to help others eliminate the Monster Association.

"Amitabha!" Just as he took a step, an empty, emotionless Buddhist chant was heard again.

Everything around him suddenly plunged into darkness.

This time, Deng Mengcheng's expression gradually grew serious: "Didn't I kill it? How can it reappear?"

He had clearly seen the Ghost Buddha's spiritual energy disappear, which was a sign of death. It shouldn't be possible for it to revive.

Buzz! Buzz! Buzz!

Dong dong dong!

When the candlelight lit up again, one by one, and the sound of the wooden fish drum rang out, he looked up in shock at the Ghost Buddha that had appeared above.

The Ghost Buddha stared at him with empty, emotionless eyes.

Anger also appeared on Deng Mengcheng's face. He glared at the Ghost Buddha and roared, "You can revive after I kill you once? Then let me see where your limits lie! If once isn't enough, then ten times, a hundred times!"

Buzz! Soldiers reappeared behind him. The man and the ghost began their contest in this small temple... At the foot of the mountain.

Boom!

Roaring sounds continuously came. Wan Tianhong's hands transformed into long Flame Fists, striking the Tyrant and sending the huge brute flying out again.

"Roar!" After being knocked back dozens of meters, the Tyrant roared anew and charged over.

Wan Tianhong watched the Tyrant, who only had dust on its body and no injuries, and his eyebrows twitched: "How is this defense so tough?"

He raised one hand and slapped the air toward the Tyrant again.

Boom! A massive pillar of fire, seven or eight meters wide, erupted. The surrounding air twisted and turned red, and the vegetation dozens of meters away spontaneously combusted.

This pillar of fire slammed directly into the charging Tyrant, the high temperature burning its purple skin bright red.

"Roar!" The Tyrant roared, its skin turning stone gray as it charged straight into the flames.

Under Wan Tianhong's gaze, the Tyrant broke through his pillar of fire, and its hardened skin delivered a punch to his body.

Bang! Wan Tianhong immediately turned into a streak of fire and flew away. His expression was serious, and flames shot out from his feet, carrying him into the sky.

'From the start of the fight until now, as soon as this Monster gets injured, its strength increases, especially this stone-gray skin; fire can't burn through it at all.'

Wan Tianhong continued to rise higher. After reaching a distance of several hundred meters, fireballs shot out from his hands, exploding toward the Tyrant below, which was chasing him and roaring.

Bang bang bang! Every fireball that hit the ground blasted a crater dozens of meters wide.

The Tyrant roared while enduring the fireballs. Unfortunately, it couldn't fly; as soon as it jumped, the opponent would immediately fly higher, leaving it to passively take the beating.

A hint of helplessness appeared on Wan Tianhong's face: "It seems I can only wait for the others to finish their fights and come support me."

Although he had one move that should be able to break through this Monster's defense, the consumption after using it was enormous. He might be able to use it in a one-on-one life-or-death battle.

But here, the enemies were numerous. The worst-case scenario would be using it, failing to kill the enemy, and then becoming a weak point due to excessive exhaustion. That would be bad.

Thinking of this, he looked toward the sky far off to the left.

That area had turned completely red, and fierce winds were swirling within the redness.

That was Jiang Ao, who was battling the Blood Master.

On the other side, after Long Zhengqing landed, none of the powerful Monsters came looking for him.

"Does the Monster Association only have this many Level Fives? Perfect, I'll go help Wan Tianhong deal with that Monster." Seeing the continuous roaring sounds from that direction, Long Zhengqing turned and quickly ran toward it.

"Hey, stop right there!" A loud shout suddenly came from behind him.

A look of authority appeared on Long Zhengqing's face: "It seems a Bureau Chief like me is still a key target for the enemy. Let me see what kind of Monster this is!"

He immediately turned to look in the direction of the voice. Standing there was a Monster only seventy or eighty centimeters tall, completely black and resembling a sausage.

Its face was pale, and it wore a comical expression.

Long Zhengqing looked puzzled, pointing at Hei Jin and asking, "That sausage Monster over there, where is the Monster that called me, the Bureau Chief? Tell it to come out, prepare its neck, and let this Bureau Chief kill it."

When Hei Jin heard this, the comical expression on its face solidified: "Kid, I'm the one who called you, nobody else!"

Hearing this, Long Zhengqing felt that Jiang Yan was somewhat looking down on him, sending such a thing to humiliate him.

He looked at Hei Jin and said in a serious tone, "If that's the case, let's end this battle in one second."

"How dare you look down on me! I'm going to kill you!" Hearing such insulting words, Hei Jin took a step with its short legs and immediately charged at Long Zhengqing.

Long Zhengqing casually waved his right hand toward the ground.

Crack! The ground split open, and large amounts of rubble flew up.

Whoosh whoosh whoosh! The next moment, the rubble shot toward Hei Jin with terrifying speed.

Bang bang bang! Hei Jin didn't even have time to react before it was smashed to pieces by the rubble, with black chunks of flesh flying everywhere.

"It truly doesn't recognize its own strength. Does this Bureau Chief look like such a weak person?" Looking at the easily dispatched Hei Jin in the distance, Long Zhengqing displayed an authoritative expression.

But the next second, he almost couldn't maintain his composure.

The black chunks of flesh that had been smashed to pieces in the distance suddenly swelled up before hitting the ground, and new Hei Jins instantly appeared.

There were at least thirty of them.

"You better stay right there and don't run! Your attitude has pissed me off," shouted the group of Hei Jins as they charged over.

Long Zhengqing waved his hand again, and a cluster of rubble from the ground beside him shot toward the Hei Jins: "Every ability has a limit. I refuse to believe you can keep splitting and reviving forever."

Whoosh whoosh whoosh! A large amount of rubble instantly pierced through all thirty-plus Hei Jins; some were even smashed to bits.

Long Zhengqing kept his eyes on the opponent this time, and soon, under his gaze...

The black chunks of flesh that had been scattered from the shattered Hei Jins immediately swelled up, and new Hei Jins reappeared, their number increasing from thirty-plus to over two hundred.

The leading Hei Jin wore a mocking expression: "Your attack is as weak as you look! With this kind of strength, you dare look down on me?"

Being mocked like this, anger appeared on Long Zhengqing's face: "You trash who can only split, how dare you mock me!"

He aimed his hands at the group of Hei Jins that had charged dozens of meters away and suddenly clasped them together.

Boom! The ground beneath the Hei Jin group suddenly caved in, and a large number of Hei Jins fell straight down before they could react.

Long Zhengqing moved his hands again, sweeping them out to both sides.

Bang! Two earth walls, seven or eight meters thick and over fifty meters high, suddenly rose from the ground on either side of the depression.

The earth walls slammed toward the pit.

Crash! There was a loud bang, and a large amount of dust swept across the area. The Hei Jins in the distance were directly buried underground by him.

"If I can't kill you, I can still lock you up." Long Zhengqing wore a confident expression.

This Monster's body looked weak and powerless; perhaps an ordinary person with a weapon could kill it.
