Chapter 15 - Chapter XV: Sixth Sense:

I return home to my ghetto in Little China not long after the attack in Kabuki, going up the stairs and to my front door. I input my code to my apartment and went to open it until-

"Beep.... beep.... beep... beep…."

"The fu-?" I trail off as I hear the beeping noise, looking around before very cautiously opening the door, taking out my pistol.

Inside, everything seems fine. I continue walking in until I notice a tripmine connected to a suppressed assault rifle with the string roped around the trigger om the side cabinet.

"Oh is that how this is huh? Pussy!?" I ask to myself, leaving my apartment and storming back down the stairs of the motel-hotel as many people in the alleyway ghetto look my way; fearful because of my reputation.

I storm into Vincent's territory despite the unprofessional guards trying to stop me, going to the centre and firing 4 shots into the air.

"Where the FUCK is Vincent?!" I yell in demand as I stand on the wall of the dirty fountain in his ghetto containing mossy, algae filled water.

"He's not here." One of the guards answer as he raises his pistol with the rest of them.

"Then he better fuckin' get here before I turn this place into a goddamn Graveyard isn't that right?" I respond with irritation laced in my voice, my firm, confident and demanding composure and body language scaring even some of the people in Vincent's territory despite having no real authority.

"What do you even want 'im for?" He asks as the pistols remain raised at me, even more guards joining to hold the weapons up at me.

"He tried to assassinate me. That's why." I reply simply, pointing my pistol at the closest guard whilst they dial a number on their OS, evident by his now orange eyes.

"That better be him." I state as the guard rolls his eyes, his volume low so I can't hear him.

"You know you have some real nerve walkin' up in here. You must think you're invincible huh? Well delusion is a dead man's game darling. And you're playin' it." The guard on the phone comments as the guards hold their barrels at me.

"That supposed to be scary choom? You're about as intimidating as a pet rock." I comment bluntly as he rolls his eyes, clearly fed up of my presence.

"Uh huh… riight… and what about the uh, the friend?" The guy asks over the OS to the dialed number, ingoring me completely.

"I can hear you ya know. Not very secretive. You know if there's something you wanna say you should say it to my-" suddenly a loud sniper shot rings out as the guard on call drops limply to the ground.

"OH SHIT-!" I involuntarily shout in shock, my finger squeezing the trigger accidentally and causing one of the guards to be shot in the chest; where his armour lays.

"Get 'er-!" The guard comments, the weapons beginning to be fired as another sniper shot rings out and downs another of them, darting to cover and just barely dodging the fired bullets near my face, cutting strands of my hair off as I slide behind a half wall, sniper shots continuing to ring out as the guards retaliate.

Now that the guards are in cover, the sniper stops shooting we both remain hidden, not daring to move.

After a couple quick moments to think, I eventually decide to peek out if cover, pistol warily in hand as I begin approaching with it raised.

When one of the guards peek out of cover soon after, the sniper drops them and I run up to the car, sliding over the hood and shooting the last guard dead.

"Fuck…" I pant before gasping and getting down, remembering the Sniper is still present. I begin subtly searching for the sniper and see them on the roof the motel-hotel area here, their weapon scoped in and most likely waiting for me. Unable to get a clear view on who it was, I reboot their optics in a quick action before sprinting to the motel stairs, taking cover as soon as possible.

I arrive at the foot of the stairs and begin to climb them cautiously, checking corners with my gun raised and sweeping the floor before moving to the next.

Upon reaching the third floor, I carefuly put my feet on the railing and climb onto the flat roof just above, ensuring I stayed out of sight as I move along the wall of the further elevated roof before climbing it.

Once on that level, the woman turns and I run at them, blinding their optics and tackling them before pulling out my knife and putting it to the woman's neck and the sniper dropped.

My eyes widen as it dawns on me who this is, now immediately recognising her; Kiera.

"Kiera?!" I keep my eyes wide and get off her as she coughs, looking more tough faced but overall still the same Kiera I knew.

"Chelsea." She points out unemotionally and irritatedly, looking pissed by my mere presence as I clamber to my feet.

"Kiera… it's… nice to see you." I admit, looking away and holding my right arm with my left, turning my head quietly because of the awkwardness if the situation.

"It's nice to- it's… It's fine." She responds coldly and distantly, looking away herself as she picks up her sniper.

We both fall silent for a moment before speaking again.

"Nice Iron… where'd you- uhh- get it from?" I query nervously as she reloads it, still not facing me.

"A guy from 6th street had it. I took it from him and it's mine now." She responds before facing me with an unimpressed look finally.

"I- I see… so- uh… how you been?" I question, maintaining the small talk whilst she looks uncomfortable and pissed to even be in my presence.

"Fine. Fine without you." She replies bluntly and spitefully of me, spitting out some gum.

"…I take it you're still mad about…" I trail off, knowing she knows what I am asking anyways; feeling awkward and nervous.

"Could say that. You know, considering you hit me and pushed me on the floor when I tried to show you love like you said you wanted that same day." She responds spitefully of me again, showing more strength and confidence I had seen from her first hand.

"Yeah… I deserve that… look, I-" I try to explain but Kiera waves her hand dismissively, turning away.

"Don't Chelsea. I don't even wanna look at you right now. You made your choice. You showed how you felt about me. You showed I was weak, small, afraid and an overall burden to you. I don't care." She intrrupts and rejects me immediately, rolling her eyes and walking to the sidr of the building.

"Kiera, I- I didn't mean- Kendrick he- I was-" I stammer weakly as she walks away, following her now.

"Look, you can't even get your words out. You're blaming everyone and everything but yourself. You HIT me Chelsea. I tried to hug you despite you literally putting a GUN to my head and you pushed me onto the ground like I was some annoying bitch." Kiera points out, brushing a strand of hair out of her face, because of the wind's unpredictability, crossing her arms and looking to me with hooded, bored eyes.

I remain speechless, looking down and to the side quietly and solemnly as she sighs loudly again and jumps onto the slightly lower flat roof before moving to the fire escape.

"Wait! I- Why did you help me despite of me doing that..? With those guys? How did you know I was even in trouble?" I ask sadly and curiously as she perks up, sighing and looking away again.

"Because I love you. Call it a sixth sense that I knew you were in trouble; and even if you were shitty to me I can't stand you dying knowing I had it in my power to save you. Your welcome." She comments before leaving me on the roof in silence.
