"I was injured because someone ambushed me, okay?" she shot back. "If Mystique hadn't attacked me from behind, Apocalypse would already be dead."
Wonder Woman crossed her arms calmly and refused to budge.
"No matter how you explain it, the fact is you still lost."
Scarlet Witch clearly didn't want to continue arguing with her. Instead, she turned toward Li Jie again.
"Jack, you believe me."
Her voice carried absolute confidence.
"With Loki's scepter, Apocalypse won't be able to control me telepathically anymore. And I won't give Mystique—or anyone else—the chance to ambush me again."
She leaned forward slightly.
"I promise this time I'll kill Apocalypse."
Li Jie nodded slowly.
"Wanda, I do believe you have the power to defeat Apocalypse," he said. "But there's a problem. Two hands can't fight four."
He paused before continuing calmly.
"Even if Mystique doesn't sneak up on you again, don't forget about Magneto, Mr. Sinister, and all the other followers working for Apocalypse. Every one of them is a dangerous opponent. If all of them attack at once while you're fighting Apocalypse, are you really confident you can handle that situation?"
Scarlet Witch fell silent for a moment, thinking seriously about the question.
"Then how about this," she finally said.
She pointed at Li Jie.
"Jack, you and your people can support me. I'll deal with Apocalypse, and you guys handle his henchmen."
Her tone became more confident as she continued.
"As long as you hold them off until I kill Apocalypse, I'll free up my hands afterward and help finish the rest."
Wonder Woman immediately scoffed.
"Oh really? You think you're so important that we should work for you? Who exactly do you think you are?"
Scarlet Witch's patience finally snapped.
"Enough!"
She suddenly stood up and kicked the chair away behind her.

"You're seriously going to fight?"

"If we weren't going to fight for real, what would we do? Pretend?"
Scarlet Witch crossed her arms and looked at Wonder Woman with open disdain.
"Don't think you're special just because you carry a fancy whip," she said. "Today I'm going to show you that being pretty isn't enough."
Wonder Woman's expression darkened slightly.
"Good," she replied calmly. "I'll show you that chaos magic doesn't make you invincible either."
Li Jie could immediately tell that both of them meant business. This wasn't a simple argument anymore.
A fight between them was unavoidable.

"Boss, why are you back already?" he asked eagerly. "Did they really start fighting?"
Li Jie glanced at him.
"What do you think?"
Scarecrow rubbed his hands together.

The Joker and Bane had already walked over as well, both clearly curious.

Wonder Woman smiled warmly.
"Don't worry, Wanda. I'll clear the path for you so you can focus entirely on defeating Apocalypse."
"Thank you in advance, Diana," Scarlet Witch replied cheerfully.
Li Jie stared at them.
The Joker, Bane, and Scarecrow stared as well.
None of them could understand what had just happened.
A few minutes ago, these two women looked ready to kill each other.
Now they were calling each other sisters.

"Why are you all staring at us like that?" Wonder Woman asked.

"Jack, Diana and I already reached an agreement."
She pointed at him.
"You'll support me. I'll deal with Apocalypse."
Wonder Woman nodded.
"Wanda and I had a misunderstanding earlier, but that's resolved now. Since Loki's scepter is necessary to deal with Apocalypse, you should give it to Wanda."
Li Jie raised an eyebrow.
The scepter belonged to him.
Since when did other people get to decide who it should be given to?
"Wanda," Li Jie said calmly, "I'll give you the scepter later. But first I'm curious about something."
He looked at both women.
"What exactly happened in the Mirror Dimension? Who won?"
"Wanda won."
"Diana won."
They answered simultaneously.
Then they looked at each other and laughed.
"Actually," Scarlet Witch explained, "neither of us won or lost."
Wonder Woman nodded.
"Wanda is incredibly powerful. Even when I used my full strength, I couldn't defeat her."
Scarlet Witch smiled.
"My chaos magic didn't really hurt you either, did it, Sister Diana?"
Their friendly mood made Li Jie feel slightly dizzy.
"Alright," he said. "Let's talk about something more important."
He looked at Scarlet Witch.
"Wanda, even if you defeat Apocalypse… what happens afterward?"
Scarlet Witch frowned.
"If I defeat him, isn't that the end?"
Li Jie shook his head.
"It's not that simple."
He continued slowly.
"Apocalypse has survived for thousands of years because he can absorb the life force of others. Even if you kill him, he can resurrect himself by draining someone else's life."
Wonder Woman's expression turned serious.
"Are you saying Apocalypse can't be killed?"
"Theoretically, yes," Li Jie replied. "But not completely."
He paused briefly.
"If he were truly immortal, he wouldn't have been destroyed by the Phoenix Force before. If the Phoenix Force can erase him completely, then chaos magic should be capable of doing the same."
He looked directly at Scarlet Witch.
"As long as you unleash an attack powerful enough to wipe Apocalypse out of existence so he can never regenerate, that will work."
"That's it?" Scarlet Witch asked.
Li Jie nodded.
"Yes. That's it."
It sounded simple, but it was extremely difficult.
Chaos magic was comparable to the Phoenix Force, but the two powers weren't identical. The Phoenix Force could directly erase Apocalypse, but chaos magic might not achieve the same result so easily.
"What if Wanda fails?" Wonder Woman asked.
Li Jie raised his left wrist.
"That's why I prepared a backup plan."
Everyone noticed a strange glowing timeline wrapped around his wrist.
"What is that?" Wonder Woman asked curiously.
Suddenly—
The conversation repeated.
"It's that simple?"
"Yes, it's that simple."
"What if Wanda fails?"
"That's why I prepared a backup plan."

The same moment replayed again and again until the glowing timeline finally disappeared.
Wonder Woman frowned.
"I feel like something strange just happened."
Bane, the Joker, and Scarecrow looked confused. None of them had noticed anything unusual.
Scarlet Witch stared at Li Jie carefully.
"It feels like we just repeated the same moment several times."
Li Jie smiled.
"Sorry. I used time magic."
He gestured slightly.
"It loops a specific moment in time. Think of it like replaying the same video clip over and over."
Scarlet Witch looked interested.
"So that's your backup plan?"
Li Jie nodded.
"If you fail to destroy Apocalypse instantly, I'll trap him inside the exact moment of his death and seal him in that timeline."
Scarlet Witch's eyes widened.
Making someone relive their own death endlessly was far more terrifying than simply killing them.
It was cruel beyond imagination.
"Then let's use that plan," Scarlet Witch said firmly.
The others looked at each other and nodded in agreement.
Knock knock knock.
A sudden knock came from the door.
Coulson's voice followed.
"Jack, there's a suspicious guy outside asking for you."
Li Jie opened the door and saw Mr. Hedgehog standing behind Coulson.
Coulson glanced into the room with a forced smile.
"Are you… having a meeting?"
"Is there a problem?" Li Jie asked.
Coulson laughed awkwardly.
"No, no problem. I just wondered if there's anything I could help with."
"Actually, there is," Li Jie replied casually. "Could you get us some food?"
After saying that, he let Mr. Hedgehog inside and immediately shut the door behind him, leaving Coulson standing outside.
Then he looked at the visitor.
"What do you need?"
Mr. Hedgehog looked pale and exhausted. However, the painful tension on his face suddenly eased once he entered the room.
"There was a voice constantly echoing inside my head," he said slowly. "But strangely… the moment I walked into this room, it disappeared."
Li Jie immediately understood.
Someone with powerful telepathic abilities had been contacting Mr. Hedgehog.
Because Mr. Hedgehog wasn't the main target, he could only hear faint echoes in his mind rather than being fully controlled.
The reason the voice disappeared now was simple.
Li Jie had used Loki's scepter to create a mental barrier around the room.
Telepathy couldn't penetrate it.
"What exactly did that voice say?" Li Jie asked.
