Daniel's Point of View
I couldn't believe how I was transported. I was floating the air without any safety gear or covering. Then all the things I saw on my way to the station. The people were using some kind of technology that can for solid things, use projections and hover on the floor. And there's the way people were picking up orders, without making contact or breaking away from their screens. Did they have some kind of deceived connection to their order? I also didn't see any motor vehicles. The floors were clean of trash and graffiti. I didn't see a single homeless while we were passing through this city. Am I in another country or planet? I wonder what will become of me when they finally realize they have the wrong person. If they find the out I'm the wrong person. This floating motorcycle doesn't make any noise. Is it electromagnetic? This is just stuff I would see in a movie.
I haven't done much talking because I'm still processing everything and what if I say something that will take straight to jail. I mean, they said they would fully investigate the issue. But come to think about it, they didn't ask me any questions or read me my rights. So I must not be in the same place if I didn't get my rights rehearsed. I muster up the nerve to ask, when will I get a chance to talk to a lawyer or at least make my case? There was silence, no response or indication from the cop. Then I asked, will I have a fair trial? Silence again. Finally I said, I'd like to speak to your supervisor. I have the right to an attorney and due process. The man finally said something, "you're not helping your case by rehearsing the ancient laws of humanity." I was utterly speechless, ancient laws of humanity? What does that mean?
Narrator Point of View
Daniel was taken to a room to be questioned once they arrived at the police station. The sign had a sign Buckhannon Police Department over a pyramid with an eye on top logo. Daniel squinted his eyes to focus on the logo and name. The name was familiar because the city he drove by was near the camping spot he was traveling to. However, the logo underneath was new to Daniel. The building was made out of cement and crystals. It was structured like the lower part of a pyramid without the rest showing.
Before they got to the questioning room, floated him to a caged area where his back was electrocuted again and the solid metal turned into liquid again. Then he was made to walk through a machine that resembled the airport body scanners. He heard something travel up and down behind him. Then it scanned him from the front before a green light turned on. The liquid was no longer in his clothes. Daniel saw the officer hand the bag of the glove he had used earlier to a clerk. Another officer took Daniel to the interrogation room and left him there alone for a few minutes.
Daniel overheard conversation outside his door. "Its another conspiracy theorist invoking the ancient laws of humanity. Tel the chief to get the popcorn." Another voice said, "Lana loves these cases, she will probably be here soon to take over." Then their voices faded as well as their footsteps.
Daniel's Point of view
I still found myself perplexed regarding the ancient laws of humanity. Did they meant our basic human rights? The Constitution? What happened from the time I was in to the today? Oh God, am I wrong for exploring my curiosity? I must be, this is how I got here. I find it strange that there are pyramid logos and the building is partially shaped like one. It's the lower part, does that symbolize anything? Maybe I'm looking to deep into the symbolism and not into the situation I am in. I'm arrested , I don't know the current rights and all my stuff was confiscated. Maybe this Lana lady can help, or maybe she loves cases like mine because she tortures the person.
Oh God, I'm sorry. My mother, I feel terrible. I had just told her I was ready to start a new chapter in my life and I go missing. My disappearing, must've broken her heart. She was always there for me. Never pushing me to be something I am not. A gentle woman. I hope my father was able to console her. No I regret not listening to that girl. She said stay on the trail. My trip was almost over. I could have returned home early and gone to my parents house. I'm sorry mom and dad, I let you both down.
Then a lady with black hair, brown eyes and tanned skin opens the door. She is in business casual clothes and is accompanied by a tall man of body building figure. My first thought was great that must be Lana, but then after seeing the man behind her, I felt that must be my executioner. The lady is holding a thermostat and a file. She pulls the chair back and sits down. The man just stands behind her like a guard. She introduces herself as Special Agent Lana Burke and her partner Special Agent Donald Draeger.

Special Agent Burke continued to speak without missing a beat. "The file I have for you returned empty." She opened her older and there was only a picture of the current him that was taken at the scanner without his knowledge. Then she continued, "what is more interesting about you is that you don't have a barcode chip on you that would indicate if you are complete human or a cloned human. My question is, how did you manage to survive this long without one?" She paused and crossed her arms.
Daniel noticed the gesture was done on purpose because it's as if she remembered she should do that when she raised her brows slightly and took a small gasp that was barely audible. He paused for a moment to look at his hands and asked, "what do you mean cloned?" Cloning of humans was common knowledge during this time period which made Special Agent Burke scowl at the question. She then responded, "Don't play dumb with me. Everyone knows already about the cloning of humans and the bar chip is how humans and clones get traced." Daniel had an expression of shock that made Special Agent Burke furrow eyes as if she was seeking something. Then Daniel said, "You're not going to believe and your probably going to pin whatever it is you want to pin on me. So why bother making my case to you." Then a deep voice from behind Special Agent Burke said, "Try us."
Daniel gulped and then said, "My name is Daniel Draeger. It was the year twenty twenty five when I went on this hiking trip in the Appalachian Mountains where I came across a random red door that brought me here. I don't know anything about this time, but I begun to realize that the constitution no longer exists because nothing I grew up knowing is true in this time period." Special Agent Burke started to laugh and said, "you're right, we wouldn't believe you. Time traveling from the past? Are you serious?" Daniel's shoulders dropped as he exhaled in a defeated demeanor. Then Special Agent Burke's laugh was suddenly silent. Daniel looked up to see what changed. He saw Special Agent Burke sitting still and holding her reaction of amusement on her face. Then special Agent Dreager moved up and finally pulled up a chair next to Special Agent Burke to sit down. He then said, "Ancestor, I was told I would meet you someday and to believe you. Our mission has only begun. I was also told you would not know everything when I met you. So the first thing I needed to do is to inform you of everything. Let us begin."
