The king didn't bother with others opinions, which made the left state councillor, minister of justice, and inspector general humiliated laughingstocks. But they can do nothing more than grit their teeth.
Though at first the king didn't think much about today's ceremony other than enjoying it as a father, but in a unexpected way the young prince's behavior had granted him a chance to make allies, strengthen his political powers and fullfill few works that he must do.
The prince is also happy and now sitting together with the queen. He knows that today's choice will benefit him in the future.
Many people among the ministers and nobles are happy at today's event, but many aren't. Because some saw Joseon's peace and prosperity through the young prince, and some saw their powers and authority collapsing under him, for them he became a thorn that must be pulled out. But no matter what, this moment marks the beginning of a powerful story where the young prince uses his modern knowledge and ancient legacy to reshape the kingdom's fate.
