PK stepped inside Law Manor, already bracing himself for the usual routine.
In his mind, he was expecting arms around his waist, soft complaints, and the familiar warmth of the twins rushing toward him. Instead, what greeted him made him slow his steps.
Three pairs of eyes locked onto him.
Hostile. Sharp. Suspicious.
PK blinked once.
That's new.
Lana and Luna stood with their arms crossed, expressions mirroring each other perfectly. Eve leaned slightly against the wall, calm on the surface—but her eyes were anything but.
PK cleared his throat.
"May I know what happened?" he asked genuinely.
The twins exchanged a glance, then looked away without saying a word.
Eve, however, spoke with a faint, dangerous smile.
"It seems three isn't enough for you anymore," she said coolly. "You've started hunting for more."
PK froze for half a second.
Then it clicked.
"Oh," he said. "That."
The twins snapped their gaze back to him.
Lana scoffed. "Oh that? Is that all you have to say?"
Luna added, "Do you really not understand girls at all?"
PK opened his mouth, then closed it again, realizing this was not a battlefield where logic alone would save him.
Eve pushed off the wall and walked closer.
"She's completely fallen for you," she said calmly. "Just like us."
PK frowned. "What? No—"
"We're not saying we'll stand in your way," Lana interrupted quickly, her voice firm but trembling at the edges.
"We already know you're… an exception."
Luna swallowed and continued softly, "We know you'll have more people around you in the future. That's not what hurts."
Both twins looked at him again, eyes clouded now.
"But don't you dare ignore us," Luna said.
"Don't make us feel replaceable," Lana added.
For the first time, PK didn't try to explain.
He simply walked forward and pulled both of them into his arms without hesitation.
"I have no idea what you're talking about," he said quietly, holding them close, "but if something like that ever happens—no matter what—you two are always mine."
The twins stiffened for a second.
Then both of them relaxed.
They nodded against his chest, relief visible, and suddenly leaned up—kissing him on both cheeks at the same time.
PK laughed helplessly. "You two plan everything together, don't you?"
Eve watched the scene, then finally nodded once, her expression easing.
"Just don't forget," she said simply.
Only then did PK explain everything—what happened, the meeting, the chess, the bidding, the medicine. He carefully avoided mentioning family names, except for Silas.
By the time he finished, the room was silent.
"…You did what?" the twins said together.
Eve inhaled slowly, as if steadying herself.
All three stared at him as though he'd grown horns.
Lana whispered, "How did you survive that?"
Luna added, "No—how did you dominate them?"
Eve shook her head in disbelief, a faint smile forming.
"You're not normal," she said. "You're a walking disaster."
PK shrugged lightly. "I told you. I'm harmless."
All three of them spoke at once.
"LIAR."
The tension finally broke into laughter—but beneath it, something deeper lingered.
Affection. Fear. Pride.
And the quiet realization that the man standing before them was slowly stepping into a world none of them could yet see.
