Chapter 4 - Chapter 4 – Testing the Limits

After that, Rk, my close friend, came over. We chatted about casual things—school, teachers, and nonsense only teenagers worry about.

(Note: I've had three best friends throughout my life—Rk, Silo, and Vic.)

Then it hit me—my first wish. I had the ability to instantly absorb knowledge about anything I thought of or touched. It was time to test it.

I picked up one of my textbooks. Nothing fancy, just the usual boring pages.

And… wow.

The contents flowed into my mind like a river breaking its dam. Concepts, examples, diagrams—they all clicked instantly. I could recall everything in flashes, like I'd been studying it for years.

Exams? Ha. I could ace them without breaking a sweat.

Then came the first glitch.

I touched a book on system design… and suddenly, every single step about making paper, binding books, and printing jumped into my head.

Wait, what?

I froze.

Somehow, my new skill had included every irrelevant detail. I had no idea what to do with all this, but I knew it might be useful someday. Maybe…

I tested a few more things. I touched a few math exercises, some novels, even a pencil.

And then I realized the pattern.

It only gives me what I actually want to learn.

Not everything. Not random data. Only what I consciously focus on.

I leaned back, grinning.

"This… this is going to be fun."
