Chapter 249 - Odin's Plan

Otherwise, Emrys would have even wanted to directly pull Cybertron over. He was really looking forward to seeing who would come out on top between Primus and the Tyranid Hive Mind!

That scene... tsk tsk, just thinking about it, Emrys felt it would be incredibly exciting!

As everyone knows, the Tyranids consume biomass to continuously reproduce and evolve. So the conclusion is simple: as long as you can produce troops faster than the Tyranids in a short amount of time, and don't provide them with biomass,

then it might be possible to suppress the Tyranids.

Emrys' strategy was simple: first, he would completely transform the dead world of Perdita into a Machine world, setting up a large number of Factories on it.

And, he had to race against time!

Thinking of this, Emrys avoided the crowd and immediately went to the Transformers world.

After giving Sentinel Prime a few instructions, he then turned and came to the Marvel universe.

What do you do when you encounter something you can't defeat?

For Emrys, this question couldn't be easier. Of course, you 'call for help'!

The location he teleported to this time was in Northern Europe, next to a certain cliff, which was later where Thor and Loki witnessed their father's death.

Then, he took a deep breath and started shouting at the sky:

"Great and noble, ruler of the Nine Realms, monarch of Asgard, King of Gods, God of Wisdom and War, God of Poetry and Death, embodiment of Storm and Thunder, Lord of the Valkyries, King Odin!"

Emrys immediately rattled off almost all of Odin's titles like a menu, then humbly bowed.

"Your friend, Merlin Emrys , the future Guardian of Asgard, calls upon you!"

A moment later, an aged figure by the cliff slowly appeared in Emrys' eyes amidst a dazzling golden light. It was indeed the Lord of Asgard, Odin.

However, a hint of disdain was faintly visible on the God King's face.

"Next time, just say what you need directly. Don't shout such a long string of titles; I find it embarrassing!"

While such flattery felt good, this was Earth. That old hag, the Ancient One, might be eavesdropping, and he didn't want to be mocked.

"How could that be? Everything I said was true!"

Emrys looked earnest.

"These are heartfelt words from the bottom of my heart. The person I admire most in my life is none other than you, the great Guardian of the Nine Realms, King of Gods—"

"Stop!"

Odin really couldn't listen anymore. Emrys might not be ashamed, but he still had his dignity, so he immediately interrupted the bastard, saying helplessly, "What exactly do you want from me? Hurry up and say it, I don't have time for your nonsense."

"What do you mean by that... Can't I come to you if there's nothing wrong?" Emrys showed a hint of sadness, as if he had truly come to visit him.

"—Heh heh." Odin sneered, mercilessly exposing him.

"Don't I know what kind of person you are? Stop pretending with me. Would you come to me if there was nothing wrong? Just say it quickly."

Seeing that he couldn't keep up the act, Emrys didn't stand on ceremony.

"Actually, it's not a big deal. I just want to borrow something from you."

"What thing?" Odin frowned, thinking carefully. It seemed he didn't have anything good enough for this guy to make a trip for.

"The Bifrost Bridge!" Emrys said seriously.

"I've encountered difficulties, very great difficulties, and I want to borrow Asgard's Bifrost Bridge for a while."

...

Odin's eyebrows twitched wildly. He never expected this kid to ask for Asgard's most precious thing the moment he opened his mouth. He immediately shook his head.

"Can't lend it. The Bifrost Bridge is the foundation of Asgard. If something were to happen—no one could bear the responsibility."

"It's not a free loan; there are conditions."

Emrys slowly said, "Anything I have, you can have. Just let me use it, and you can name any condition!"

Odin hesitated. The conditions Emrys proposed were not very useful to him personally, but for Asgard, it was a huge guarantee!

But, that was still in the future!

He couldn't let this kid keep holding this leverage over him, getting something for nothing from him, could he?

"You brat, you want to get an advance again?!" The old man's beard bristled with anger as he glared at him fiercely.

What do you have that I would value?"

"Oh, too many ~" Emrys shrugged.

"For example, Super Soldier modification surgery, another universe battleships, bio-human technology, mutated viruses—as long as you want it, I have it. Even if I don't have it now,

I'll definitely have it in the future!"

Odin's veins throbbed on his forehead. Just from the names, few of these things seemed benign, but he was even more puzzled, asking, "You have so much, and it's still not enough? What kind of trouble have you run into that you absolutely need to borrow the Bifrost Bridge?"

"Oh, nothing much, just a bunch of bugs."

Emrys truthfully said.

"There are a *tiny* bit too many of them, and they can devour organic matter to reproduce, evolve quickly, travel in space, and they have a biological fleet."

"...Are you sure what you're describing is really 'bugs'?" Odin's eyelids twitched. How did this sound like something that could wipe out Asgard?

"And that's not all." Emrys shook his head, looking as if he thought Odin was unknowledgeable, and said.

"Not only do they evolve quickly, but they can also use the same abilities as me. They have no fear, no fear of death, and are controlled by a hive-mind collective consciousness. They are simply perfect organisms."

"...According to what you're saying, even if I lend you the Bifrost Bridge, you wouldn't be able to defeat them, right?" Odin seemed to suddenly understand why Emrys sometimes acted like a warmonger.

Facing such terrifying enemies every day, it would be hard not to become a warmonger!

"I wasn't planning on defeating them anyway."

Emrys spread his hands and said, "I just want to hit them hard once, then I'll return it to you."

Hoping to destroy the Tyranid with the Bifrost Bridge was undoubtedly a pipe dream, unless the Mothership's consciousness was completely muddled and directly exposed itself to the attack target. Otherwise, even if the Bifrost Bridge had an ultra-long range, it would be difficult to directly hit the Mothership!

What's more, the Mothership was surrounded by a large wave of Hive Fleet ships, including escort ships and cruisers. The probability of a direct hit was simply minuscule!

"Wait, you said those bugs can devour organic life forms, so can they—" Odin didn't directly say the second half of the sentence, seemingly wary of something.

But Emrys, who knew the details, vaguely guessed the God King's thoughts and immediately gasped.

"You're playing with fire!!!"

Those were the Tyranids!

The most terrifying and greedy species in the multiverse. If this thing went wrong, it was highly likely to become a major disaster in the Marvel universe!

"Then it's out of the question."

Odin sneered and made to leave.

He had been pushed to this point; would he still care about the safety of the entire universe?

"Wait a moment." Emrys was very conflicted. On one hand, he really needed the Bifrost Bridge, and on the other hand, he was worried about the Tyranids becoming a disaster in the Marvel universe!

Odin remained calm and composed, seemingly not worried at all, leisurely watching him.

"I know exactly what you're thinking. Don't forget, even if I can't deal with those bugs, there's always someone higher up who can."

That's true... Emrys realized he might have been overthinking. No matter how powerful the Tyranids were, this was the Marvel universe. Even in the movie universe, there were still big shots to back things up. What was he afraid of?

Thinking of this, Emrys no longer hesitated.

"Okay, it's a deal then. I'll find you a Tyranid Broodmother, and you lend me the Bifrost Bridge!"

"Deal!"

Odin's lips curved slightly.

Even if the Tyranids couldn't meet his requirements and couldn't devour things within the world Tree, at least this was a beneficial experiment.
