Chapter 139: Atomic Slash!!
Bang's greatest weakness was fighting non-humanoid monsters—his exquisite martial arts were designed for human-shaped targets of a reasonable size.
The current Fuhrer Ugly might have been humanoid once, but look at him now! He was a hundred meters tall!
Every one of Bang's strikes, which usually had the power to pierce through a man, only left tiny puncture wounds on Fuhrer Ugly's colossal frame. To make matters worse, those holes healed themselves within two seconds.
It made the fight incredibly frustrating for Bang. His attacks felt like he was just giving the monster a light shave.
To use a gaming analogy: it was like a tank with maxed-out defense and health-regen dueling an assassin who had put every single point into evasion.
Because the assassin's dodge rate was too high, the tank couldn't land a hit. But the assassin's damage was too low to break the tank's armor. The two were stuck in a miserable stalemate.
Fuhrer Ugly had realized this as well. After another one of his heavy strikes was redirected, he suddenly stopped and lowered his fists.
"Enough! Neither of us can kill the other. Let's call it a draw and end this here!"
The moment the words left his mouth, Fuhrer Ugly turned and bolted without hesitation. He didn't even glance at Gums, who was currently being tag-teamed and pummeled by the other S-Class heroes.
Are you kidding me?!
As he sprinted away, Fuhrer Ugly scanned the area out of the corner of his eye.
The most powerful one, Diamond Sperm, had been snatched away by that mysterious man and was still MIA.
Homeless Emperor, who spent all day screaming about being a messenger of GOD, was currently tied up like a holiday turkey by the heroes.
Nyan had vanished—judging by the shockwaves earlier, he'd probably been dealt with too.
As for Gums? That guy was just a walking punching bag at this point!
Realizing his teammates were either AFK or neutralized, Fuhrer Ugly—no matter how dim-witted—knew that if he didn't leave now, he'd be surrounded and beaten to death by the remaining S-Class heroes.
He was strong, but he wasn't "solo-the-entire-S-Class" strong.
Just as his mind raced with escape plans, a voice filled with irritation and cold fury rang out behind him:
"Oi, oi, oi... Where do you think you're going? Eat my blade!"
With a thunderous shout, Fuhrer Ugly felt the very air around him turn sharp, as if thousands of invisible swords were leveled at his skin.
His Dragon-level instincts screamed. Every hair on his body stood on end. He reflexively tensed his muscles to their absolute limit, boosting his physical defense to the max.
Atomic Samurai appeared behind Fuhrer Ugly like a vengeful ghost. His blade traced silver-white streaks through the air, tearing the atmosphere apart as a localized storm of slashes erupted.
"ATOMIC SLASH!"
Fuhrer Ugly felt a series of cold chills wash over him, followed by a tidal wave of agonizing, tearing pain. He couldn't stop himself from screaming.
In a split second, his massive body was covered in thousands of overlapping cuts. Every wound was bone-deep, and blood sprayed out like a fountain.
Atomic Samurai, a toothpick still between his teeth, flicked the excess blood off his blade. He didn't even bother turning around to look at the screaming giant behind him.
A true master of the sword never looks back at an opponent who is already dead.
In his mind, this was just a monster with a large hit-box and zero meaningful defense. After a full-power Atomic Slash, there was no logical reason for it to still be alive.
But in the very next heartbeat, a voice suppressed by ultimate, white-hot rage exploded across the battlefield:
"YOU BASTARD... THAT HURTS!!!"
"UGLY FACE-CAVING PUNCH!"
Atomic Samurai's pupils constricted. He spun around and drew his blade in a single motion, unleashing a wave of sword-qi that sliced the incoming fist clean in half.
However, that was just a feint.
Fuhrer Ugly grinned hideously. His other fist had already reached a position directly above Atomic Samurai, descending like a meteorite from the heavens.
Crap!
Atomic Samurai's heart skipped a beat. He had just overextended to cleave the first fist; his momentum was spent, and his new strength hadn't gathered yet. He was wide open and unable to dodge.
"Die! I'm going to turn you into a meat pancake!"
Just as the fist was about to crush him, a silver-haired blur appeared at Atomic Samurai's side.
"Don't forget about this old man. You shouldn't ignore your dance partner so easily."
Water Stream Rock Smashing Fist!
Bang leaped into the air, his palms flowing with the grace of a mountain stream as they met the descending colossal fist.
In the next second, Fuhrer Ugly felt his immense power being led astray. His fist was redirected yet again, smashing into the ground beside Atomic Samurai and leaving a massive crater.
Dammit! Dammit! DAMN IT ALL!
Fuhrer Ugly felt more frustrated than he had ever been in his entire life. This was the most humiliating battle he'd ever fought.
He was bleeding from a thousand cuts. The scarlet spray had already formed literal puddles and small streams beneath his feet.
He had incredible regenerative powers, yes, but the Atomic Slash had carved so many gashes into him that he was currently using all his energy just to stop the bleeding. Full recovery would take time he didn't have.
Watching the monster's face twist in a mask of rage and madness, Bang glanced past the giant's shoulder. A faint smile touched the old man's lips.
It looks like the finisher has arrived.
"THAT HURTS! You seemed to be having fun hitting me earlier, didn't you?!"
A furious roar erupted. Fuhrer Ugly felt a biting gale approaching from behind. In his blinded rage, he didn't even think—he just spun around and threw a haymaker.
In an instant, a bent, battered metal bat collided head-on with a fist the size of a house.
After a microsecond of stalemate, the sound of meat and bone being pulverized rang out. Fuhrer Ugly's entire arm was vaporized into a mist of blood by the impact of the bat!
