đđHappy New Year To All Cake đ đ
After a night of passion, Ryden felt completely refreshed.
To avoid being seen, he slipped out of the teacher's apartment early.
When he got home around six, Aunt Sarah was already up making breakfast.
She looked a little downcast at first, but the moment she saw him, her face lit up with joy-like a wife seeing her husband return.
"Master Ryden, you're back! Are you alright? You didn't come home last night. You have to take care of your health!"
"Yeah, I'm fine, Aunt Sarah. Thanks," Ryden replied. "I'm going to take a shower. Had some business last night, don't worry. Oh-make me two beef burgers. I'm starving."
He hurried upstairs.
He still felt sticky and uncomfortable.
The hunger came from two intense "battles" that had drained him completely. If not for his solid physical condition, Dia might actually have defeated him.
Seeing Ryden back put Aunt Sarah in such a good mood that she started humming softly.
Before long, the beef burgers were ready.
The smell of seared meat filled the kitchen. Not overcooked and dry, not undercooked and bloody.
Perfect.
A man in high spirits had a fierce appetite.
Ryden devoured two burgers without hesitation, then packed the rest to go.
After his usual hug with Aunt Sarah, he headed out to meet Terrence and go to school.
Until graduation, he still had to show up.
Even doing nothing in class was better than leaving a bad impression by skipping.
At school, Rocca and his lackey, Bunter, were both absent.
After yesterday's overwhelming counterattack-stepping directly on the school bully's face-the girls now looked at Ryden with stars in their eyes.
If class hadn't been in session, they probably would've swarmed him on the spot.
Terrence watched with open envy.
"You lucky bastard," he laughed. "I heard Rocca's dad dragged him home. Pulled him out by the ear! What do you think made that old man suddenly change his attitude?"
Ryden was a little surprised.
Was Howard really that efficient?
By the time they talked yesterday, it was already four or five, and the school had been empty.
He'd been planning to play around with the guy a bit more, but Rocca was already gone.
"He's nothing special," Ryden replied casually. "Work hard and you can be like that too. Haha. And if you really can't make it, there are always other paths."
He chewed on his pen, half-listening as he sketched a diagram on his paper and chatted.
He didn't see Dia all day.
It seemed she had taken the day off.
After class, he finally broke free from a group of enthusiastic female classmates by promising to attend the graduation party after exams.
If his clothes hadn't been sturdy, those "vixens" might have torn them right off.
American girls were terrifying.
Still, it felt good.
Being surrounded by girls beat being surrounded by a bunch of old men.
Heh.
If he didn't have other plans, Ryden might've picked a few pretty ones for a movie, dinner, and maybe a "cup of coffee."
He bought another pile of clothes-skirts, shirts, evening gowns, lingerie, underwear-then picked up some food before heading to the teacher's apartment.
Ding-dong.
After a moment, Dia opened the door.
She was wearing a casual long dress, her face glowing.
The moment she saw him, her eyes lit up.
To avoid being seen, Ryden scooped her up-along with her soft, curvy body-and carried her inside.
He set the bags down on the table.
"Dia, are you feeling better? Are you hurting anywhere? Did you take any medicine?"
Dia smiled and shook her head.
The quiet concern of a lover made her feel warm all over.
She leaned against his chest, closing her eyes and enjoying the rare gentleness.
"I'm fine. It was just a little hard to walk, so I took the day off," she said softly. "Why did you buy so much? You spent too much money, Ryden. You don't need to do this for me. I don't need these things. I just need you to be okay."
Already worrying about my wallet, and we're not even married yet.
She really was the homemaker type.
Ryden felt secretly pleased.
Finding a woman like this in America was beyond his expectations-especially after last night's "first blood," which had left him so excited he hadn't slept at all.
"You're my woman," he said simply. "Spending money on you is natural. Dia, I love you."
That was all it took.
They were kissing again.
When lovers met, it was like lightning striking dry tinder.
This time, though, the fire didn't spread.
Ryden felt a bit shy instead.
They talked.
About the future. About life. About chemistry experiments and strange ideas.
Eventually, the topic drifted to what it would be like when a baby arrived.
Even with Ryden's imagination, he struggled to keep up with Dia's jumping train of thought.
Women were strange.
And lovely.
By the time he left her apartment, it was almost eight.
If he hadn't been worried about "drinking coffee" again while she still hadn't fully recovered, Dia probably wouldn't have pushed him out the door so quickly.
