Those bastards didn't even want to let me rest after I'd already lost an arm. I was passed from one desk to another like I was stuck in some civilian government office.
…Wait. This was basically a sub-government, wasn't it? Military or not. Whatever. In the end, I had to ask a senior from the clan to step in and push things through.
And just like that, according to the village records, I was officially a civilian.
Maybe I should sell this house. With the war still ongoing, I seriously doubted the village had the money to properly compensate fallen shinobi families, let alone those permanently injured. If anything came at all, it would be incomplete.
I did have some attachment to the place… but not much. I'd only lived here for three years before being sent to the frontlines. Before that, it was the Uchiha orphanage.
Sure, this house might be one of the few things I inherited from parents I never even met but clinging to it wouldn't change anything.
I had to move on.
Besides, in a year or two I would have to give up this place anyway. Once the Nine Tails broke out, everything here would be thrown into chaos. Better to sell it now and make some money while I still could.
Money wasn't the most important thing… but it mattered. Especially if I wanted to live quietly.
Now that I was officially a civilian, whatever I got from selling this house would make it easier to fool others and give them a reason to believe I could survive without working, without missions, without drawing attention.
A peaceful life always needed a believable excuse.
I let out a slow breath and stared at the floating screen.

I'd already tested the waters with single pulls before, and yeah, they were awful. Ash Ketchum's cap. Homelander's cape. Daniel Park's glasses. Useless junk. Stuff you'd hang on a wall, not rely on to survive.
After that, I stopped. No point burning resources for nothing.
If this system followed even half the logic of other gachas, bulk pulls should give better results. Or at least reduce the chance of getting completely worthless trash.

I dumped all my points at once and waited for result.
The screen flickered and then one by one, the results appeared.

Going through all the cards, my attention naturally locked onto the two character cards, Omoi and Roy Harper.
Omoi first.
If I remember right, he's that Cloud shinobi who kicked Sakura during the war arc. Yeah, that guy, the one who's constantly overthinking but somehow still competent.
So, what exactly can I expect from his template? Probably an increase in chakra reserves, a few lightning-style jutsu and definitely an upgrade in kenjutsu.
Not bad at all. The dude went toe-to-toe with Ameyuri Ringo, one of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist, and actually lived to talk about it. She even gave him her sword afterward. So yeah, calling him a jonin-level combatant isn't an exaggeration.
More importantly, it's reassuring to know that the gacha can pull cards from the same verse I'm in.
If this thing can give me Omoi, then Sasuke… or even Madara… isn't completely out of reach.
In this life, my ancestors were apparently a samurai family that became retainers to the Uchiha during the Warring States period. That means if there is any Uchiha blood in me, it's either extremely diluted or basically nonexistent.
I spent years on the frontline. Real battles. Life-or-death situations, over and over again but still haven't unlocked the Sharingan.
I want that.
Sure, the Omniverse is full of busted abilities. Gods, monsters, reality-warping nonsense. But come on… who doesn't want to pilot a Gundam made of chakra?
People can ask why all they want. The answer is actually quite simple.
Because it's so fucking cool.
I stopped myself from going too deep into the daydreams and shifted my focus to the second character.
Arsenal.
Wait a minute, I noticed both characters have something common with me.
One guy uses chakra like I do, the other lost an arm like I did. Maybe the system tried to use myself as the shortlisting logic. Or maybe it's just a coincidence. Either way, I wasn't complaining.
Roy Harper was one of the best archers in DC.
On top of that, he was solid in hand-to-hand combat, understood tactics, infiltration, and urban warfare, and had real experience as a vigilante.
In this world, he would scale to around genin level, but with enough prep, intel, and the right environment, he could absolutely take down a standard chunin. And yeah, obvious exceptions apply. Prodigies and monsters like Naruto, Gaara, Neji, Lee, etc., are out of scope. Those guys break the curve.
Also, by "taking out," I don't mean a fair, head-on fight. It's more about neutralising opponents under the right conditions. Like how a jōnin using the Death Reaper Seal can neutralise a Kage.
It's going to be a template too, since I'm not interested in summoning him. If it were Batman, though, I'd definitely summon him into this world, one where children are trained to kill and taught to love it. I'd love to see his reaction.
Pushing that thought aside, I slotted the templates in place and moved on to checking the rest of the cards.
The World LINK card connects this world to another. The one I got is specifically for the Pokémon verse. It allows travel between the two worlds, but the connection is exclusive to me means no one else can move between the worlds like I can.
Does that mean I can't bring Pokémon I catch there back here? As soon as the question formed, the answer surfaced in my mind automatically.
I can… if I obtain certain special cards, or under specific circumstances.
Closing my eyes for a few seconds to think this through, I made my decision.
I'm going to see POKEMON tomorrow.
