Chapter 39 - Ultimate Look: True Thousand Hands!

The Third True Thousand Hands!

Lio! Do you know what you're doing!

Grey glared at Lio with fury; he had almost sealed Daeliola just moments ago.

Lio snorted coldly, "I'm the mage destined to surpass Wulu, and only I can defeat Daeliola."

"We've come this far, and you're still letting your vague dream control you!" Grey fumed, standing up to argue with Lio, but the next second his body was frozen solid by a thick block of ice.

As expected, casting with both hands works best.

Lio released his hands, his face shedding the cold aloofness for a gentle smile. "Grey, just keep living. That magic isn't yours alone to wield."

Grey suddenly realized something and shouted, "Lio! Stop!"

But it was already too late.

Lio crossed his hands, mirroring Grey's earlier casting stance; the moisture in the air instantly froze into countless tiny ice crystals that shimmered like a dream under the moonlight.

"Daeliola, join me in hell!"

"Forbidden magic—'Absolute Ice Bind'!"

When the just‑vanished sigils reappeared, Daeliola, locked once more, felt his emotions swing like a roller coaster, teetering on the brink of madness.

Wait, you knocked someone down earlier just so you could cast this spell yourself?

Why are you all racing to use a death‑wish spell!

Humans… they're incomprehensible… Hop, too, can't grasp it. From a bystander's view, they only saw Daeliola just enter the field before Grey trapped him with a spell.

Then Lio interrupted Grey's spell, trapped him, and proceeded to cast the same magic on Daeliola.

He opened with a suicide‑type ultimate move.

Even though no one had actually engaged yet, they rushed to blow themselves up. What are those two brothers thinking? Underestimating their comrades' strength like that—should at least test each other first… Hop could no longer watch. He released Naz, who had been pinned by him and Elusha from the start, and said, "Naz, for Grey and Lio, use your Flame Fist on those two."

'Huh? Okay.'

Caught off guard by being freed, Naz was momentarily confused, but then leapt up, delivering a flying kick that sent Lio sprawling, then turned and smashed the ice imprisoning Grey with a punch.

Because 'Absolute Ice Bind' was interrupted again, Daeliola got another chance to catch his breath.

It stared intently at Naz; the once‑arrogant great demon now wore a tense expression, fearing that the pink‑haired kid would cross his hands and shout 'Absolute Ice Bind' the next second, sealing both of them.

Honestly, it was struggling; the torture was too much for a demon.

Only when he saw flames blazing on Naz did Daeliola finally sigh in relief—being a fire mage, he wouldn't be vulnerable to ice‑type forbidden magic.

Grey and Lio, pinned by Naz, looked bewildered at Hop, not understanding why he stopped them from casting 'Absolute Ice Bind.'

Hop sauntered in front of them, "I don't know Wulu, but I think she sacrificed herself so you could live, not so you two could just die recklessly."

Grey's body jolted; Wulu's dying smile flashed through his mind.

Lio bowed his head, "Grey and I know that, but without 'Absolute Ice Bind,' how can we fight Daeliola?"

"It's simple."

Hop gave a slight smile, "Let me take care of it."

Under the puzzled gazes of everyone, Hop half‑crouched, his palms touching the ground, and instantly the earth's mana surged into him, guided by the 'Great Tree Arc.'

Jarna Island's unique geography meant that its moon‑bathed soil had amassed a vast amount of lunar mana.

Others couldn't tap that mana, but Hop could.

Now, the millennia‑old energy stored in the land became Hop's unbeatable trump card against Daeliola.

In an instant Hop absorbed enough mana, clapped his hands and shouted, "Wooden Form—Ultimate—True Thousand Hands!"

The mountain trembled, observed in shock by everyone, even Daeliola,

the earth roared and the mountain shivered, as if a colossal beast were awakening.

Behind Hop, a massive wooden Thousand‑Hand Buddha, as tall as a mountain, rose from the ground, towering over the summit.

Its thousands of colossal arms unfurled behind it like a peacock's tail, radiant and sacred, the craftsmanship breathtaking.

The statue's face was compassionate yet solemn, a stark contrast to Daeliola's grotesque, evil visage.

Before this gigantic Buddha, even Daeliola's massive form seemed diminutive.

"W-what kind of magic is this?"

Lucy gazed up at the colossal statue that nearly blocked the sky, her voice trembling. They were all fresh guild recruits—how did Hop suddenly go god‑mode? Elusha gripped her longsword, eyes wide with disbelief; it was her first time seeing such a magnificent creation, one that even Daeliola's massive demon could not match.

Meanwhile, Naz and Habby, unfazed by the awe, were already itching to climb the gigantic statue and have some fun.

Daeliola's eyes filled with terror; instinct told him the towering statue harbored a power that could threaten his very life.

"Impossible!"

"How could humans possibly possess such power?!"

The great demon roared, a mix of shock and rage, swinging its cursed claws forward as if defying fate.

Hop stood atop the Thousand‑Hand Guanyin, his face pale; the technique had drained nearly all the earth mana he could muster, yet the formula for victory was complete.

"Daeliola, your atrocities end here!"

Hop thrust both hands forward, and the Buddha behind him moved in kind, its thousands of massive arms pelting Daeliola like a torrential downpour.

"Buddha from above!"

Each punch carried the terrifying force of splitting mountains and cracking stone; thousands upon thousands of blows flooded Daeliola's body like a raging storm.

"No—!"

Daeliola let out a desperate scream, trying to counter, but against the avalanche of fists, any resistance seemed futile.

The massive fists hammered his iron‑hard skin, producing deafening booms; the sound of shattering bones rang out in a chilling chorus.

When the final punch landed, the Thousand‑Hand Buddha ceased its assault, standing silently as if a guardian deity.

A deathly silence fell over the field.

As the smoke slowly cleared, everyone finally saw the scene at the battlefield's center.

There, the so‑called 'Immortal Body' Daeliola lay, his form riddled with countless wounds, life drained away.
