"Ling Hong!"
Seeing the tall figure lift the door flap, An Jin sprang up from her stool. She jogged over and took his arm, a smile on her face. "When did you get back? Why didn't you say anything beforehand?"
He had been gone for a month and a half, and they hadn't seen each other for nearly two months. The feeling was very much one of "absence makes the heart grow fonder."
"You… broke through?" An Jin's gaze fell on the silver mark in the center of his forehead, and she spoke with pleasant surprise.
She couldn't help but reach out to touch it. Her delicate fingertips traced the sharp line of his jaw, climbing all the way up to the tips of his long eyebrows.
"Mhm." Ling Hong smiled and nodded, ducking his head slightly. He nuzzled her cheek with his cool nose, obediently letting her touch him to her heart's content.
