"It's fine. If you want to know, I'll tell you." Mi Yin caressed her face and said nonchalantly, "But the origin of my name is different from theirs."
"Once, when I was a child, I couldn't find any food. I was so desperate with hunger that I killed a Beastman I happened to run into. Before he died, he kept muttering a single word, over and over. I thought it was strange and wondered if he knew about my origins, so I took a name that sounded like it."
"What word?"
"In the language of the Beast World, it means 'demon,' 'abhorrence,' or 'terror.' I only found that out later, after I integrated into a tribe." Mi Yin didn't show much emotion, seeming only to hold a simple regret. 'If I'd known, I wouldn't have picked this name.'
