She jumped onto an overturned barrel, pushed off against a wall and leapt onto the roof of a low house.
From up there, she briefly overlooked the chaos.
The harpies were still circling. The trolls advanced. The knights were holding, but the pressure was increasing.
She took a deep breath.
"Archers! Aim when they climb back up!"
A harpy passed too close to the roof. Scarlet lunged and, in mid-jump, sliced off both of its wings. The creature crashed heavily to the ground.
She landed with difficulty, her boots slipping on the wet tiles, then jumped from roof to roof to reduce the aerial threats.
On the ground, a troll grabbed a knight and hurled him against a facade.
Scarlet dropped down in a leap, took a claw strike from a harpy that opened her side, then charged toward the troll.
"Tss, that hurts like hell!"
The wound was already closing, green light pulsing under her skin.
She ignored the double pain.
