Chapter 22 - THE CAFETERIA FEELS DIFFERENT

A few weeks after we became friends, I noticed something else.

Lunch felt… different.

It wasn't just about eating anymore. It was about the routine—walking to the cafeteria, grabbing food, and sitting across from Andrea.

It was about hearing her complain about her classes, watching her steal my fries, and arguing over the most pointless things.

"Rest, who do you think would win in a fight—me or a goose?"

I stared at her. "…Why a goose?"

"They're terrifying," Andrea said seriously. "Have you seen one up close? They don't fear anything."

I sighed. "You. You'd win."

Andrea beamed. "You have so much faith in me."

"No, I just have no faith in the goose."

She gasped. "Wow. Betrayal."

I smirked, shaking my head.

Yeah. Lunch was different now.

And the weirdest part?

I didn't mind.
