Orgrim's gaze flickered for a moment; he now lacked top-tier power. There were too many hero level powerhouses on the Alliance's side, which meant that despite the orcs having the upper hand overall, the advantage was not obvious.
Furthermore, the humans had priests to heal, allowing them to sustain their combat capabilities. Every fallen orc was a loss, and reinforcements were almost nonexistent.
"Do we need to annihilate the high elves? We don't have that much time; dealing with the Alliance is the priority. But if it's just about attacking a city, we can still collaborate." Orgrim had witnessed the combat power of the trolls; their thrown spears were incredibly accurate, and they were quite competent as warriors, with a remarkable regenerative ability.
Even if they lost an arm, with enough food, it could regrow in a few days. This trait was truly astonishing. As soldiers, they made great cannon fodder! Yes, cannon fodder! Orgrim would never trust any race outside the orcs, and even among the orcs, the internal divisions and numerous clans made trust impossible. If he hadn't suppressed the other clans with his personal strength, the orcs would surely have been wiped out one by one by the Alliance!
"Then let's take down Quel'Thalas!" Zul'jin wasn't backing down; if they were going to do it, they might as well go big!
At this moment, the orcs and trolls officially established an alliance, at least for the time being. With the trolls leading the way, Orgrim left some troops behind to continue harassing the Alliance forces while he took a portion of his army north to deal with the high elves, then turn around and ambush Lordaeron from behind. They would appear in the most unexpected places and wipe out human cities in one fell swoop!
Back in the nightmare world, Arthas was still pondering his plans when he heard the system's notification sound.
"Ding! Mission accomplished, gained Arcane Constitution."
"Arcane Constitution: Your body is highly attuned to arcane energy, increasing teleport speed, reducing arcane damage taken by 50%, and decreasing mana consumption for arcane spells by 50% while increasing arcane spell power by 50%. When crafting arcane items, there is a chance to reduce the consumed materials."
The most famous arcane item is of course the hearthstone, which allows you to quickly teleport back to your original inn after binding it. There are also various arcane constructs that are similar to robots; they can act as guardians or porters and have a strong market presence in construction.
Arthas didn't realize that this Arcane Constitution was something mages dreamed of; the reduction in arcane damage alone was enough to make most warriors envious, as it meant real damage reduction! After completing the mission, Arthas released a powerful holy light that forcefully shattered the arcane tide.
Thud! Many spell casting mages vomited blood, suffering from the backlash of arcane energy that left them in a near-death state!
'Rebuke (Passive) (Advanced): Every three seconds, your attack interrupts an enemy's spell casting. The enemy receiving the interrupted attack suffers backlash damage and is silenced for ten seconds.'
This ability causes the stronger the enemy is, the stronger their counterattack damage becomes, making it an invincible dueling weapon, quite overkill for dealing with these mages.
Boom! The next second, Arthas appeared right in front of Xavius and grabbed him by the throat. The name above his head was so glaring that he didn't even need to ask to identify him.
"It's over, King of Nightmares. Go and tell N'Zoth that his so-called nightmare is now my property!"
"Cough cough!" Xavius was horrified to find he couldn't fight back; this was the nightmare world! He was the king of nightmares, for heaven's sake!
Azshara was watching her former subordinate being lifted by the throat with great interest, as if it were a show. She was hoping someone would cause trouble for N'Zoth, so she could profit from it! But the next second, her expression changed, turning into a hideous resentment, her eyes fixed on Arthas, seemingly wanting to kill him.
Suddenly, Arthas squeezed her breast and teased her nipple, "Not bad, quite firm. Hehe, I wonder if I'm the first one to toy with these treasures? Azshara, I advise you not to meddle in affairs that don't concern you."
"You insolent fool!" The furious storm caused the Well of Eternity to boil, and the arcane energy was almost tangible. This pure energy needed no spells to manifest; simply harnessing this power was enough to take down any enemy. When the purity of the energy reached this level, it was like an ocean; defensive spells became ineffective.
Arthas remained unmovable like a mountain; he realized that this was a dream, his own dream. Since it was his own dream, whatever he wished for would be reality. This was something even Azshara had not realized; otherwise, her attacks wouldn't have been so feeble.
"Ding! Ancient god power detected. Please maintain pressure on Xavius to absorb ancient god power. Time progress: 60"
Another mission. Alright, Arthas was right; he found the King of Nightmares, and hence all sources could be dealt with. Every dream has a source, and the brain is the source of dreams.
Seeing that her powers had no effect on Arthas, Azshara looked at him with a resentful glare, "Mortal, you have no idea who you have angered today! You will regret it!"
Arthas still firmly grasped the King of Nightmares Xavius, who had lost his disguise and transformed into a satyr form, his eyes gradually whitening; he was being drained of life.
His gaze fixed on the furious yet still stunningly beautiful figure, he reached out to touch her delicate face, saying, "To be toyed with by Sargeras, betrayed by your own people, the Well of Eternity exploding, being despised by the world, have you ever regretted it?"
"Take your filthy hands away!" Azshara realized she was immobilized and couldn't move at all; this was impossible! In reality, she could crush Arthas with her toes without even using her hands. Yet in the dream, she was completely unresponsive.
"You do not regret; you believe that everything you have done is what you see as right." Arthas smiled, his tone full of bravado, "You will soon discover that N'Zoth is nothing, and Sargeras is just a fool manipulated by others."
