Chapter 56 - The Cruel Laws of Nature

Un'goro Crater, a place where Sand Fury trolls are planning to hunt for food. The meager food produced in the barren desert is hardly enough to sustain the trolls; even fresh water is scarce.

Among the many troll clans, only the Sand Fury trolls are faring the worst, even worse than the Frost trolls of Northrend. A giant lizard is slowly eating plants, measuring over three meters in length; it is a massive lizard capable of swallowing an adult whole!

The fact that this lizard is a herbivore is already surprising. The forest is filled with the sounds of animal howls, and even in the outskirts, there is a palpable atmosphere of danger. The lush green forest and the barren wasteland form a stark dividing line, leaving one in awe of such a landscape.

The Sand Fury troll cautiously approaches, holding a crude spear made from thorny seabuck thorn, without any iron tools, all crafted from wood, showcasing their poverty! Despite their destitution, the Sand Fury troll's eyes remain fierce; their sandy skin reveals the harshness of sun exposure, and their long tusks exude a fierce rage. Oh! As the Sand Fury troll moves closer, it leaps forward, and the spear plunges deep into the giant lizard.

Boom!

The giant lizard's tail, thick and long like a car tire iron, strikes the Sand Fury troll fiercely. Crack! A sound of breaking bones can be heard as the hunter spews blood, and the originally gentle giant lizard's eyes turn wild. At this moment, the roles of predator and prey instantly reverse!

The massive lizard charges forward with heavy footsteps, its seemingly cumbersome body surprisingly fast. It covers a distance of fifteen meters in less than two seconds. In one bite, it swallows the injured Sand Fury troll whole, chewing loudly as bones crack, blood dripping from its mouth.

Nature's brutal survival of the fittest is on full display! But this is not the end; a gigantic raptor suddenly bursts out of the jungle. So swift that the giant lizard cannot react in time, it grabs its tail and lifts it into the air. With its bloody maw wide open, lined with sharp, backward-facing teeth, it bites the dropped three-meter giant lizard cleanly in half and swallows it whole! The entire hunting process takes no more than ten seconds, effortlessly killing a giant lizard. After devouring its meal, the raptor returns to the jungle, patrolling and hunting for more prey to satisfy its hunger.

This is Un'goro Crater, a dangerous place filled with tropical rainforests, where countless dinosaurs survive. Even races that wish to relocate find themselves unable to leave alive, all becoming prey to the dinosaurs!

Arthas rides Onyxia as they fly through the air, with Aurelia sitting behind him. Beside them are the four great guardian dragons, who are quite interested in exploring the Titan relics.

Deathwing remains in his humanoid form, held captive by the blue dragon king, this poor unfortunate fellow seems to be loathed by Malygos to the point of death; even carrying him is impossible, as he must be restrained in dragon form. They were previously transported to the edge of Un'goro Crater, where there are strong barriers.

Even a master of magic like the blue dragon king cannot teleport inside due to the core defenses of the Titan relics. Without the guardians' permission, no one can teleport indoors; this is the power of the Titan laboratory.

Therefore, even if some traitor from the northern guardians is present, no one would dare pursue. Helpless, they can only proceed by flight, which allows them to ignore the ground obstacles. Given the dangers of Un'goro Crater—swamps, dinosaurs attacks, thorns, carnivorous plants, etc.—there are threats everywhere.

Who would choose to walk when they can fly? Who would fly when they can teleport? Time is money, my friend! Riding on the neck of Onyxia, feeling the fierce wind whipping against his face, it even stings a little. A feeling of being a dragon rider arises; this is the true essence of a dragon rider! How many people can say they've ridden on the neck of a great dragon? Not to mention that this is the genuine Black Dragon Princess!

Arthas is unconcerned about the battle between the Alliance and the orcs; without the aid of the red dragons, the orcs stand no chance of victory. Additionally, with the Dragonmaw clan nearly wiped out by the red dragons, this will only instill more fear in the orcs.

"What are you thinking about?" Onyxia's voice comes loudly, "Is riding on a giant dragon's neck making you proud?"

"Of course I'm proud! Doesn't that prove I'm remarkable? Don't overthink it—once I'm stronger, I'll make you happy. Just accept your fate calmly." Arthas is in a very good mood, as he is actually planning how to maximize the advantage from the story.

The orcs, having lost the red dragon's assistance, will speed up their collaboration with the forest trolls, which means they will likely attack Quel'Thalas. In the story, his soon-to-be wife's brother and parents were killed in this assault. He might be able to leverage this situation. However, Lirath is currently in Lordaeron helping him train human soldiers, so it shouldn't be too dangerous for him.

"Hmph!" Onyxia lets out a huff, indignant but couldn't say much to him.

Aurelia looks on, smiling, and boldly wraps her arms around Arthas's waist. Since she has decided to follow this boy, she has nothing to fear. Compared to secretly being together, openly marrying him is clearly a more fitting choice.

"Ahead is the Titan ruins; we need to slow down," the red dragon queen warns. They rarely visit and wouldn't come to a place like this, as the guardians here are not very welcoming to outsiders, even to the guardian dragons themselves.

"Let me off here; I can go in alone. You all wait for me here," Arthas said excitedly. He has been observing the terrain of Un'goro Crater along the way and notes that the land here is very fertile. Towering trees abound, with some so large that ten adults cannot encircle them, reaching high into the sky at nearly fifty to sixty meters tall, with the tallest reaching up to one hundred meters. Such a presence is exceedingly extravagant in nature, and the density of life here enhances the growth rates of plants and animals.
