Brute Strength doesnt always win fights.

Moments after the opening ceremony.
The student council walks together heading off the stage.

"They're pretty good" Faith exclaims.
"You were the right choice to be out there Faith. Thank you again." Axel says with a modest tone.
"You went easy on them Faith why didn't you display your feel skill set?" Luna asks politely.
"Ah I didn't want to go hard on them," Faith explains to Luna as she scratches her head removing her hat.
"Surprised you didn't lose your hat in the process" Luna teases Faith.
"I WAS" Faith says to herself as she giggles nervously. "Besides those first years are pretty good. Ezekiel and Erielle . Leo and Virgo."
"How did you feel about them? Fighting against fellow Twelve Stars?" Luna questions.
"Well, Erielle is pretty good her Star Magic is something. Light magic I was caught off guard. As for Ezekiel he moves quickly and packs a punch but they both still need training"
"Good observation what do you think of Valerus Marina?" asks Axel.
"The irregular. Hmm, nothing much but you saw that he held his own against a Twelve Star Mage so I see the potential." Faith responds walking with her hands behind her head.
"His father was apart of The Federation Marko Marina" Axel comments.
"Wow you know all of that creepy" Faith takes a weird look.
"It is not creepy I just peek at the incoming students and t-" Axel says as he defends his case.
"Am kidding am kidding relax Mr.President" Faith responds smacking Axel in the back.
Axel makes a fussed face as Luna giggles a little.
"Anyways what do you guys think Issac and Caesar " Faith asks as she turns around.

"Where did they go?!" Faith exclaims loudly.
"You didn't notice them leaving? They left as soon as the assembly ended," Axel says as he fixes his glasses.
"Issac went to check on the fundings," Luna says.
"Like he always does," Faith says.
"-And Ceaser went to the library to read and study"
"He's been reading a lot hasn't he?" Faith says.
"Well, he is our Historian. But yes he has been reading more" Luna responds to Faith's question.
The three continue to walk towards the exit of the auditorium.
"He foresaw something. Involving the end of the world" Axel comments.
Faith stops in her place.
"What!" Faith says.
Luna shares a grim and bleak expression.
Axel puts his finger to his mouth "Shh please keep it on the low we dont know who could be listening in"
"Luna? Why was I not informed of this Axel why didn't you let me know," Faith says in a soft voice.
"Am sorry, I didn't wanna let you be distracted and lose focus on the opening ceremony ." Axel apologizes.
"Did you inform the Headmaster?" Faith asks.
"Yes he is well aware of it," Axel says.
"Well, what is it about?" Faith says.
Axel and Luna go silent.
"You see it's about the-"

"Val cmon you really going to do this"
"Yeah he wants to fight"
"Not a fight just a friendly exhibition"
"Yeah I wanna pay you back for earlier at the entrance"
The three council members just so happens to hear this.

"Spectacular fight" Faith says.
"However am not quite sure if the headmaster would enjoy having the auditorium dessimated." Axel comments.
"If you going to do it do it in the courtyard please" Luna steps forward as she guides them too the courtyard.
Faith looks at Axel "What were you about to say"
Axel with a concerned look on his face. "We shall discuss this some other time. In the meantime, watch this match and make sure they don't go overboard"
"Got it," Faith says. "What was he going to say" Faith thinks to herself as she follows Luna and Axel to the courtyard.

We walked past the auditorium to the courtyard. It was on the ground floor it shaped like a rectangle as students on the ground floor and 2nd floors watched.
We both head off to the opposite ends of the courtyard.
"We gotta make this quick don't wanna miss first class," I extended my arm to summon my scythe.
"Don't worry it'll be over quick. Remember it's just a friendly exhibition" Ezekiel states as he cracks his knuckles and neck.
The 2nd floor of the classroom buildings.
"You sure it was a good idea Luna for them to battle right before the first lesson? What if they break something." questioned Faith.
"We'll just have someone repair them" Axel says.
"They'll be fine classrooms are right here. If anything we shall stop them." Luna reassures Faith.
Back in the courtyard.
"Haahh why did I let him do this" Erielle says as she referees the match. "Alright, are both sides ready?"
"He uses physically strength. Pure brute power. But i should beware of his Leo Star Power. What kind of magic is it?" I begin to question myself.
Ezekiel stares at me with the eyes of a predator stalking his prey.
Ezekiel smiles "A scythe he used that on me while we were in the auditorium. I know he'll pull out those delayed blasts. I should try to apply a lot of pressure on him."
Erielle nods at me and then nods at Ezekiel.
"READY, SET ,GO!"

I dodged his punches he's more of a brawler type. Note to self his body seems to be more durable then most" I told myself.

Ezekiel didn't budge. "Oh, that trick won't work again" as he grabs my scythe and throws it outside of my reach.
"Oh that maybe trouble for him" Faith says as Axel watches attentively.

"Cmon without the scythe your basically defenseless" Ezekiel exclaims.
"Hmm lets see how Valerus does against him without his main source of offense" Luna says as herself Faith and Axel watch from afar.

"Well if your just going to defend" he stops the onslaught. "Take this" he does the same hand scratch motion.

"Val!"Erielle yells.
"That was easy" Ezekiel says to himself.
"Well time to head to class. Make sure to send him to the infirmary." Faith says.
"Wait."Axel says.
I remember rising to my feet.

"Your still ready to go?" Ezekiel says.
I stick out my left hand as a sword materializes.
"So he uses a sword as well?" Luna says.
"Hes continuing the fight with a wound like that?" Faith wonders.
"Being a irregular he must've trained body to stop bleeding momentarily. This isnt the first time someone had done this"
The three student student council members look intrigued.
"Wonderful you wanna still go!" Ezekiel shouts in excitement.
STAR MAGIC: On The HUNT
Ezekiels body begins to grow a green hue. His eyes sharpen. He begins to grow claws. He became more lion like. More beastly.
"Come at me" in his more distorted animalistic voice.
Each attack he did was followed up by an extra slash attack.
I continued to perfectly block and parry each attack.

The two of us separate once more.
I swing my sword downwards.

"So you can generate these blasts from your sword as well!" Ezekiel yells.
I continue to push my sword downwards connecting with his thick skin.
"Those blasts wont work reme-"

I jump backwards after I shot a blast a point blank range.
Erielle covers her mouth.
"Straight to his face?" Faith wonders.
"He'll be fine" Axel comments.
"His mana is still lingering." Luna adds.
The smoke around Ezekiels head begins to subside.
"YES! That is what am talking about Valerus!" Ezekiel says as the marks from the explosion begin to heal up.
"Such refined healing magic. However this must be talking a toll on his manapool" Erielle thinks to herself.
"Hes attacking way faster with a sword from when he handles the scythe." Faith states.
"Of course it will be swords are much more versatile than a scythe but it seemed like he was going all out with either weapon" Axel chimes in.
"He's hesistating." Luna says.
"What do you say that?" Faith asks.
"Whenever you move with a sword you should be set on landing an attack on an enemy. With him hes hoping his attack isnt fatal." Luna explains.
"But he just launched a point blank range explosion at his face?" Faith asks.
"He was gambling on the fact he could heal himself or have that make him at least unconscious. However with that mentality he wont be able to win this fight." Axel adds.
"I wouldnt say he loses though" Luna speaks.
"Huh Luna your confusing me you just said he isnt fighting serious." Faith nags.
"You'll see" Luna says.
Axel squints his eyes "your precise Vice President" he acknowledges.
"Whaa. What are you guys seeing. HMMM"
I continue to advance with my attacks.

Each hit being parried with a punch but his movement begins to grow slower.

"He got me" I thought as Ezekiel grabs me.
"Too much thinking Valerus sometimes you just gotta do!"

He slams me into the ground.

"Theres a slight rhythm to his attacks I just have too time it"

I dash above him and escape the crater in the ground.
Ezekiels hands begin to climb out slowly as his head peeks out.

I kick Ezekiel right in his face followed by a axe kick too the top of his head and a giant roundhouse kick to finish off the combo. Jumping backwards I pick up my sword ready for his counterattack.
He finally emerges from the hole his breathing heavy.
"You tired yet" I ask him with heavy breathing myself.
"Haha funny Valerus funny." Ezekiel answers with a bloody nose and bruised lip.
"Hes not healing anymore? Come to think of it he must've expended alot of mana today." I thought to myself as I readied my sword.

Blood spurts out from my cough.
I put my hand to my chest area and look down "I guess it opened back up"
"Ezekiel lets end this right now?"
"Huff huff I was going to ask you the same"
The two of us lunge forward at one another.

The first bell chimes as we both end up on opposite sides.
Erielle rushes to my side. "Val you alright?"
I look up too her with a smile on my face "Yeah am fine just a couple scratches." as I fall to my knees.
She kneels down to my level "No your not! Look at your chest"
Ezekiel on the other side of the courtyard returns back to normal "I guess victory is mine"
"Welp time to go to cla-"

Ezekiel looks down on his body. A giant slash appears from his shoulder to the bottom left of his uniform."Ugh i got slashed but when."
STEP STEP
"You ugh" as he passes out.

"Alright everyone time to get to class" Luna orders the students watching.
"You were right Luna" Faith says as jumps down too the courtyard.

Luna walks to Axel.
"They're great first years. Maybe this year we might win the Aiz Magnificent Magic Games" Axel says.
"Yeah we do have a chance"
"Hey, you two we gotta go the infirmary. Time to go to the infirmary cat boy" Faith calls from the courtyard.
STEP STEP
"Is it alright if I follow you guys please so I know Val is alright?" Erielle asks.
"Yes you may come along." Luna says.
The four drop off the the two mages at the infirmary.
"Thank you for bringing Val here" Erielle says.
"No need for thanks its our duty to help the students of this school." Luna says.
"We'll make sure he gets to class on time." Axel says
"Am off see you guys around" Erielle waves too the student council.
"Bye see ya" Faith waves back.
"Well now that were alone. Can we continue about what we were talking about?"What was is premonition that Caesar was talking about?"
Axel and Luna look at one another as they both take a deep breath. Faith eagerly waits there response.
"The premonition involved the Twelve Star Mages." Axel says.
