Chapter 145 - Chapter 145 Defeat And Death

"Ashido, leave these Hollows to me. You focus on dealing with Teres Holcan," Toshiro said to Ashido.

"Are you sure, Hitsugaya?" Although aware of Toshiro's immense strength, the sheer number of Hollows was staggering, including many Adjuchas and Gillian.

"It's fine. Just a bunch of ants. No matter how many, they can't kill an elephant. On the other hand, you should hurry and finish off that Teres Holcan. I need to return to the Soul Society soon. My time in Hueco Mundo is running out," Toshiro said casually.

As if the Hollows surrounding them weren't ferocious, bloodthirsty creatures, but actual ants.

"It seems I need to speed up too. Can't keep you waiting," Ashido said seriously.

Ashido knew if he hadn't insisted on dealing with Teres Holcan alone and let Toshiro handle it, Teres Holcan would have been dead long ago.

So, he needed to hurry as well, not keep Toshiro waiting.

With that, Ashido immediately charged at Teres Holcan again.

"Hurry, attack! Stop him!" Seeing Ashido charge, Teres Holcan panicked and hastily ordered his subordinates to intercept.

Upon hearing Teres Holcan's order, his subordinates immediately attacked Ashido.

Ashido frowned, about to deal with these obstructing Hollows first, when a figure flashed before his eyes. The Hollows trying to block him directly collapsed, dissolving into Reishi.

"You just focus on Teres Holcan. Leave all these Hollows to me," Toshiro's voice sounded.

"Mm," Ashido nodded, then brandished his Zanpakuto and attacked Teres Holcan.

"Roar! Roar! Roar!"

The roars of Menos Grande echoed. Countless Menos Grande charged at Toshiro.

Shunkuho!

Swish! Swish! Swish!

Toshiro fully activated Shunkuho, his figure flickering. Suddenly, countless Toshiro figures appeared on the battlefield.

Toshiro's primary targets were the Adjuchas.

Because the number of Hollows surrounding Toshiro and Ashido was indeed massive, many of them Gillian.

Although Gillian had low intelligence and sluggish movements, their strength wasn't weak. Under the Adjuchas's command, they could exert considerable power, posing a threat even greater than the Adjuchas themselves.

But by eliminating the Adjuchas first, without command, the threat posed by the Gillian would plummet.

With Toshiro's speed maxed out, a Toshiro figure appeared before almost every Adjuchas.

Then, waves of blade light flashed, like streams of starlight, sweeping towards these Adjuchas.

Squelch! Squelch! Squelch!

Slicing sounds echoed. The Adjuchas's bodies suddenly froze, rigid and motionless.

Then, the countless Toshiro figures merged into one.

"Boom!"

The upper bodies of these Adjuchas suddenly separated, blood spurting skyward like fountains before dissolving into Reishi.

Just before Toshiro eliminated all these Adjuchas, the Gillian behind them finally reached the front.

Then, countless red Cero bombarded Toshiro like a dense rain.

"Bakudo #81, Danku!"

Facing the barrage of Gillian's Cero, Toshiro didn't choose to withstand it head-on. Instead, he immediately cast a defensive Kido without incantation.

A transparent barrier instantly appeared before Toshiro.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The Gillian's Cero continuously struck Toshiro's Danku barrier.

The transparent Danku barrier rippled like the surface of a lake but showed no sign of shattering.

Danku was a very practical defensive Kido, effectively blocking offensive Kido below the 90s. Although Toshiro omitted the incantation, the technique's power didn't diminish. In fact, due to Toshiro's extremely high Reiatsu density and Kido control, its power exceeded the normal range.

After the Gillian's large-scale Cero barrage ended, Toshiro immediately seized the chance to counterattack.

Toshiro gathered the surging Reiryoku within his body into his Zanpakuto, then unleashed a massive, ice-blue wave of Kenatsu instantly towards the Gillian ahead.

Schlick!

Everything in the path of Toshiro's Kenatsu… Hollows, trees, rocks… was cleanly sliced in two.

A vast empty area was immediately cleared ahead of Toshiro.

But the Hollow numbers were too great. The cleared area was quickly filled with new Hollows.

Seeing this, Toshiro released wave after wave of Kenatsu at the Hollows, expending Reiatsu as if it were limitless.

Yet the Hollows seemed endless, and with one batch was eliminated, another appeared.

"Whew!" Toshiro let out a breath, then frowned.

Although he could sustain this reckless expenditure of Reiryoku using Kenatsu to thin the Hollow numbers for a long time, Kenatsu was simply gathering and releasing Reiryoku, with low efficiency. It was somewhat wasteful, and solely using Kenatsu wasn't very effective at clearing Hollows either.

Thinking this, Toshiro immediately stopped using Kenatsu attacks.

"Sit Upon the Frozen Heavens, Hyorinmaru!" Toshiro solemnly chanted.

"Roar!"

A tremendous dragon's roar suddenly resounded.

A massive frost dragon materialized from Toshiro's Reiatsu.

Then, as Toshiro swung his Zanpakuto forward, the frost dragon roared again and instantly pounced towards the Hollow horde ahead.

The frost dragon emanated a soul-chilling, seemingly all-freezing cold. Even before reaching the horde, some Hollows began freezing.

Boom!

Once the frost dragon plunged into the Hollow horde, it charged left and right. Wherever it went, all Hollows froze, even Gillian offering no resistance.

For miles ahead, it transformed into a vast, icy domain.

All Hollows became ice sculptures, frozen in their attacking postures. These Hollows had no time to react before being instantly frozen by Toshiro.

"Whew!" Toshiro lightly exhaled.

Instantly freezing thousands of Hollows, including many Menos Grande… normally, this move wouldn't be this powerful. Toshiro had simply increased his Reiatsu output.

However, although the Hollows before him were frozen by his large-scale technique, more Hollows in the distance were being drawn by the battle's Reiatsu and approaching.

"Argh-"

Suddenly, a scream came from behind Toshiro.

Toshiro looked back. Teres Holcan had been pierced through the heart by Ashido's sword, dead beyond dead.
