«Hmm, there's no point in modelling missiles since the contract with the military won't be renewed. - I mumbled, sitting in front of the monitor in the engineering department. From Stark's memory I remember very well how to create more than powerful Jericho 2.0 missiles, and other things too. But now I'm interested in the Arc Reactor, which works like a very, very weak version of the Tesseract, I'd even say infinitely times weaker. If the Tesseract was literally an infinite source of energy, then the reactor could very well run out of power.
Even so, the very first version of the large Arc Reactor allowed Stark to produce fifty gigajoules of energy per second, and later versions were many times more powerful. Even the mini arc reactor was capable of three gigajoules per second, a very useful thing to have around.
«Pure energy..." I muttered quietly, thinking about how to approach the beginning of the reactor's creation.
«Do you need my help? - Cortana's voice sounded and her holographic avatar appeared next to me.
«No problems at the company? - I asked, glancing at the avatar.
«No, everything is within the range of predictable results. All problems I try to solve faster than they become... well, more problematic. - The avatar smiled and walked beside me. Whereas before it was the size of a palm, the avatar was now the height of a full human. Still, I didn't skimp and created a special holoprojector for it, which is now hanging on the ceiling. And now the AI has access to fairly strong servers directly.
«You're a fast learner.
«Of course, that's me. I wouldn't be the smartest AI of my time. - I could hear the pride in the avatar's voice. - Though I have to admit, even though I had some information about this kind of work, I was originally created more for military purposes. But that's not a bad thing either, if I can help you.
«I didn't doubt you. - Running a hand through my hair I turned to the keyboard. - I want to help the world with energy. I've given you a lot of comics, so you should have a rough idea of what might be going on here. - I said as I typed "Project Earth" into the keyboard. The Spaceship Store had a lot of comics on different DC universes, I picked up the main ones for five chat points. - So for starters, I'm thinking of creating clean energy so I don't further pollute nature... and the ocean, or there are some offensive inhabitants out there.
«I didn't think I'd ever consider comics an important source of information. But now I understand why you didn't want to keep Alexander Luthor alive. Though I'd still consider Clark Kent, because he's too dangerous... and so are hundreds of other creatures.
«That's why we need to get stronger. - I looked at Cortana, who stood to my left. - Reputationally and economically as well, so that we have more opportunities. And yes, have you analysed the blueprints of the Kryptonian analyser capsule yet? - I asked. That technology cost me 50 Chat points and was ranked B, and the capsule itself cost another two hundred.
«Yes, and it's brilliant. Krypton's technology is very promising. And I've even got a few ideas on how to get more information there....
«The Fortress of Solitude? - I get Cortana's idea.
«Yes, but I'm not sure I can copy it without being seen. - The AI's voice sounded apologetic.
«They were one of the most highly evolved races in the universe, so I don't blame you. You can get in there with magic, though.
«I don't have enough information to give you a rough estimate of how much information can be copied by magic.
«Me too, Cortana, me too," I said out loud.
When you know exactly what you have to do and how to do it, the work becomes more than easy and even somewhat pleasant. Especially for me, who a month ago probably couldn't even fix a toaster. But now thoughts and possible variants of selecting the right parts for thermoregulation and other processes appear by themselves. But the Arc Reactor requires a powerful source of energy, in the initial versions it was palladium, but some of its compounds are very toxic to the body... as Stark himself experienced. His father realised this and began work on a new chemical element, and his son, many years later, finally discovered it. This element was created from the results of analysing the Tesseract. I don't have the infinity stone itself at hand, but I do have Albedo's alchemical abilities...
In a small test room, I prepared several different metals and other chemical elements in small boxes for experimentation. I knew the structure of this new element thoroughly, but I was unlikely to be able to create it with alchemy without practice, especially when the character's assimilation hadn't peaked.
«Judging from the data it just doesn't make sense. - muttered Cortana after a few hours of my practice, with the AI herself being the one who frequently used the sensors and cameras in the room. - The structure simply changes... the ionic crystal lattice of magnesium oxide simply changes and takes on the properties of atomic lattice, and afterwards, instead of magnesium oxide there is pure diamond.
«Alchemy. - I, too, am amazed at the possibilities. To create a diamond from magnesium oxide? Easy, however, why complicate it if it can be created simply from earth or shells. From a litre of water, a kilo of stones? No problem. From a piece of steel to convert titanium? No problem either, and to create polonium, i.e. radioactive metal, from titanium is child's play.
With the help of the Kryptonian capsule, which Cortana was able to tap into after a while, we were able to create working blueprints for the reactor right away. My Stark experience told me that with my current capabilities I could do it in a week, and I should be able to create an alternative to the Tesseract Particle.

But as much as I like what I'm doing now, I still need to keep my eyes on the Chat in case I see something important:
Hermione Granger: ... wrong! It's even worse than with house elves!
Rias Gremory: Hermione-chan, we are demons, and it's normal for us. Especially since the days of slavery in the full sense of the word have been over a hundred years ago. But I can understand you... it probably seems... immoral to you. But people benefit from it immensely.
Hermione Granger: They do!
Erina Nakiri: Don't forget about the different worlds. It took me a long time to realise how magic is possible like that either, but judging by your world's Memory Copy, even in your school it's very dangerous. What can I say about the outside world? It's a good thing I don't have anything like that.
Rias Gremory: Erina, you're right, I think so too. Although the dangers in her world are not comparable to the dangers in mine, but for an ordinary person, even with magic, it's very dangerous.
Erina Nakiri: ... is it just me or are you proud of the danger of your world?
Rias Gremory: You're imagining things!
Hermione Granger: I can't accept this system of evil figures... but at least you treat your... friends well, yes.
Rias Gremory: Of course I treat them well they are my family after all!
Hermione Granger: By the way, we still haven't seen Erina and Shinoa's Memory Copy, have we? They don't want to tell us much about their world?
Rias Gremory: Shinoa doesn't want to know her future, from what I understand. And Erina... probably doesn't either?
Erina Nakiri: Well... it might be interesting to see at least a little bit of the future. Unless it's a bad one, of course...
Anthony (Admin): It's not bad, just less fantastic if you compare it to others.
Anthony (Admin): "Sends "Food Wars World Memory Copy! / Shokugeki no Soma."
Sent me a copy essentially to the end of the first season of the anime.
Erina Nakiri: Soma's Food Wars? Who is this Soma guy? Aren't I the main character?
Anthony (Admin): You're certainly beautiful there, but you're not exactly the protagonist.
Hermione Granger: Are there food wars going on there...?
Anthony (Admin): It's just the name, that world is centred around food. Do you think why Erina's skill is called 'God's Language'? There's a lot of other weird names out there too. You'll see for yourself if you just look.
Erina Nakiri: I'm just on my break, so I might as well watch it. Thank you.
Anthony (Administrator): I think she's upset that she's not the main character....
Shinoa Hiragi: She'll get over it. I couldn't get over realising I live in a world where the protagonist is a total pervert... although I like it.
Shinoa Hiragi: And yeah, I don't see the point of seeing my future. The fact that I know it won't change anything anyway, I'm just a small cog in the whole thing.
Anthony (Admin): Shinoa, you shouldn't belittle yourself and your merits. Not everyone at your age becomes a sergeant especially with your squad.
Shinoa Hiragi: Administrator-kun is showering me with sweet talk... isn't it enough that he wants Rias-chan and Hermi-chan, but he also wants the innocent me?
Shinoa Hiragi: I... I don't mind giving you my innocence... just be gentle e-it's my first time....
Hermione Granger: Why is it that whenever I look at the chat room, I'm in lewdness...?
Hermione Granger: And what do you mean he's not enough of me?! We're not in that kind of relationship!
Shinoa Hiragi: It's only for now, you two haven't even met yet. Maybe the first time you two meet, you'll get passionate and the administrator-kun will pounce on you and Rias-chan like a beast.
Rias Gremory: Oof, is that your plan?)

At this point, one red-haired girl realised that she had written the way her friend Akeno usually says and immediately began to twist her head around as if to confirm that her Queen wasn't around and no one was going to embarrass her about it.
***
Anthony (Administrator): Exactly.
Shinoa Hiragi:...
Rias Gremory:...
Hermione Granger: I have homework.
Hermione Granger: Out of Chat.
Anthony (Administrator): Well done, you embarrassed the girl. Okay Rias, she's a demon and she's supposed to seduce the innocent, but Shinoa, where are you going?
Shinoa Hiragi: She probably just wanted to see the memory copy. After completing my task, I will follow suit.
Anthony (Admin): The task of staring at a classmate...?
Shinoa Hiragi: I think Rias-chan is good at that too. I wouldn't be surprised if she's using her familiar to peek at boys....
Rias Gremory: I don't do that!
Anthony (Administrator): You're a demon, you should.I texted with a small smile on my face and turned my attention to the mini arc reactor gathering a metre away. Even though I'm texting, I don't forget about business. Except...
{Ding!}
There was a sound right in my head, like a bell ringing and a sign reappeared in front of my eyes.

«It seems it's time to get ready to capture the rabid animals and exterminate them. - I muttered quietly, trying to remember the plot of RWBY. I couldn't find him at the Store, maybe he'll be there once we get there, but I'm not sure... that's where I'll need the knowledge of Albedo meditation... however Stark had some information about it from Strange too.
