He suddenly wakes up with an unpleasant smell. It's like someone is smoking cigarettes.
Well, Amitesh never liked the smoke of cigarettes from childhood; his sense of smell was better than normal people's, which made it extremely hard for him to inhale the smell of cigarettes and tobacco.
He followed the smell and reached one floor down; he saw Gauri.
Her thin figure leaned over, taking support of the balcony railing, taking a small puff of her burning cigarette, holding it in for three seconds, and then exhaling the smoke. It's her unique way of enjoying smoking.
"I thought you had stopped smoking after you get sour thorth from it " he said walking I thought you had stopped smoking after you got a sore throat from it," he said, walking towards her, putting his hands in his pockets, and leaning his back against the pillar.
He followed her eyes looking at the full moon; she again took a puff and then gave him a side glance.
There is silence between both of them are thinking about how to start a conversation and what to say.
"Hey, why didn't you recognize me when you first saw me?" She said, crushing the butt of the cigarette on the railing.
"Well, you know my eyesight is weak; I can't see things clearly when they are far away, and my glasses were lost a year ago," he said, putting his hand at the back of his head.
"Well, that makes sense," she replied, pulling another cigarette and a lighter from her pocket.
While lighting the cigarette in her mouth, she said, "Well, it looks like you live pretty good here."
"Well, yeah, I get all resources here somehow, and then I don't get any problems."
In reality, he walks and works nonstop to gather food; things like books, computers, and electricity parts didn't cause him trouble. He only faced trouble while gathering the food because the mushroom heads ate it while he was still on the way to bring it back to base, and then he covered his clothes with their ash. Even though the smell was awful, he endured it to collect food supplies.
"So how was your life in this past year?" he asked, standing up straight.
"Well, good if you see it from the perspective of a normal person. You know my family; some of my family members are in the army. They rescue me, my family, and others. And thank you to the rescue camp. There I end up getting hard army training and get daily missions to gather resources and other things, like patrolling.
"Well, that's pretty bad for you, I guess. Well, lots of things have changed; we are in an apocalypse now, we got cultivation power, and the mushroom heads don't even leave leaves on the tree sometimes." He said, "Creating a small fireball in his hand.
"What are mushroom heads?" she asks while looking at him with a slightly confused gaze, thinking, "What are these mushroom heads?"
"Well, those things that you call zombies, I call them mushroom heads. I don't find them similar to zombies, so I give them this name.
Do everyone call them zombies." He ask taking a step forward and sitting on railing.
"Well, almost everyone calls them zombies, but scientists in the rescue camp call them human fungi," Gauri said, taking another puff of her cigarette.
" So what does everyone think about me in your team?"
Upon hearing Amitesh, she crushed the butt of her cigarette.
"Well, everyone thinks fine about you except for Zoey. Well, try not to go near her when she is alone; she might shoot you. About Rohan and Riya, they said, Uncle's cooking is nice."
"Wait, Uncle? Really? They call me uncle, from which angle do I look like an uncle?" He said, pointing a finger towards his face.
"Well, maybe because of your beard; you sure look like an uncle in it." There is a teasing smile on her face.
"I will cut this bear next day for sure."
In past he really doesn't care how long his beard grow he enjoys it during apocalypse but
Well, hearing a kid calling you "uncle" while you are still 20 is truly sad, so Amitesh will do everything not to be called "uncle."
What time is it now?" She asks.
He looks at his black watch.
It's 12:00. Wait, it means 27 Feb.
"Well then I should take a nap," she said, stretching her arms over her head.
"Wait, Gauri."
"Yes"
"Today is my birthday."
"Well, then it's really nice Happy birthday, Amitesh." She said, raising her eyebrows a little.
A screen pops up in the air, words written
'Happy birthday, Amitesh.'
Amitesh:—!!!!!!!
