Chapter 75: Phantom Raid
Jose glanced at Makarov with disdain, not taking Fairy Tail's brats seriously at all.
Jose's figure slowly vanished—it was only a thought projection, a construct made from spirit and magic power, and it had almost no combat power while also consuming a considerable amount of magic.
Its advantage was that it could cross extremely long distances instantly for face-to-face conversation.

Natsu shouted back at Erza; normally he was terrified of her, but for the sake of rescuing the Master, he didn't care anymore.

"On the way back I read the news: even though Riku attacked Phantom Lord, the main reason was that Phantom Lord attacked us first."
"The Councilors aren't blind—they'll definitely be able to tell; and since only Riku acted, this incident is neither too big nor too small."
"Let's wait here for the Council's ruling first; if you all charge in blindly, even a small matter could turn into a big one, and the Council might even order Fairy Tail to disband—then we'd be falling right into Phantom Lord's trap."
Natsu shouted unwillingly, "Then what am I supposed to do—just wait here?!"
Erza urged, "Don't rush; Councilor Yajima is the Master's friend, so I'll go ask him for information first, and then we'll decide what to do next."

Erza's face turned grim.
"What is Phantom Lord trying to do?!"
Fairy Tail and Phantom Lord had always been hostile, but it was only hostility—destroying Fairy Tail's guild hall and then marching the main headquarters right in front of them was something that had never happened before.
Jose stood at the window, looking toward Fairy Tail's guild.
"Fairy Tail, you're an eyesore—starting today, Fairy Tail will become history."
"Magic Convergence Cannon—Jupiter, prepare."

A wall of Phantom Lord's headquarters slowly opened, and a massive black cannon barrel extended outward as magic power condensed at the muzzle, emitting a blue-black haze.
"That is?!!"
"Not good—Magic Convergence Cannon!!"
"What is Phantom Lord doing?! Isn't it enough that they got the Master taken away—are they going to destroy Fairy Tail too?!"
Seeing that enormous cannon barrel, Fairy Tail's members panicked.
"Everyone, get down!!"
Erza shouted and strode forward.
"Requip—Adamantine Armor!!"
Light flared around Erza as a suit of heavy armor appeared on her body.
