### Chapter 34: Imposter
Riku turned around and saw a blonde girl standing behind them.
The girl had bright blonde hair tied with a blue ribbon, looking playful and cute. She wore a white top with blue trim on her upper body and a blue short skirt on her lower body. A leather whip hung at her waist. With fair skin, a cute face, and a curvaceous figure, she radiated youthful vitality.
Riku recognized her the moment he saw this girl.
Lucy.
The female protagonist of the *Fairy Tail* anime. Even if reality differed slightly from the anime, it didn't hinder recognition.
Soon, they arrived at a nearby restaurant and ordered a table full of food. Natsu and Happy immediately gobbled it down.
"Thank you for earlier."
Lucy thanked the group.
"Why?"
"Aye?"
Natsu and Happy both looked confused, not understanding why Lucy was thanking them.
"That man called Salamander used a Magic called 'Charm.' This Magic seduces people's hearts and was banned from sale many years ago. Using such Magic to lure girls is truly despicable. Thanks to you, the spell on me was broken."
"So that's it."
Natsu and Happy understood Lucy's reason for thanking them.
"Don't let my appearance fool you; I'm also a mage. But I haven't joined any guild yet. Oh, you don't know what a guild is, right? A so-called guild is an organization where many mages gather, acting as an intermediary to provide work and intelligence for mages. If a mage doesn't work in a guild, they can't be considered a full-fledged mage."
"Is that so..."
"Yes, yes. There are many guilds in the world, but joining a famous guild requires strict conditions. The guild I want to join most has many powerful mages. Ah... I really want to join there, but I don't know if I can meet the conditions. What should I do?!"
"Well..."
"But I must join that guild. It seems I can take on significant jobs there."
Riku looked at Lucy somewhat speechlessly. Although he knew Lucy was a chatterbox, responsible for making witty complaints in the anime, she talked a bit too much.
Riku couldn't help but complain: "You talk a lot!"
Natsu and Happy nodded in agreement.
"Ah! Sorry, I said a bit too much. I should go. Take your time eating. To thank you, this meal is on me."
Lucy took out money and placed it on the table.
Natsu and Happy were stunned, then teary-eyed: "You are truly a good person!! Thank you for treating us to a meal!!"
"Thank you!!"
"No need to be polite, you helped me too. Goodbye!"
Lucy waved and left briskly.
Riku looked at Lucy's retreating figure and frowned slightly. He felt he had forgotten something.
How did Lucy join the Fairy Tail guild again?
Four years into transmigration, apart from working and training every day, he spent his time eating, drinking, playing, and dating. He had long forgotten the plot completely. If he had known, he would have written down the plot he knew when he transmigrated.
Forget it. If he couldn't think of it, he wouldn't. No need to stress himself. Writing it down wouldn't be useful anyway; he didn't follow the steps exactly. Only with powerful strength could he deal with the dangers of the plot.
"Natsu, how is everyone in the guild?"
"Everyone is good..."
Natsu and Happy began to talk endlessly about the trivial and interesting things that happened in the guild over the past half year. Riku listened with gusto.
Natsu also asked about Riku's mission this time. He wanted to know what kind of mission it was that took a monster like Riku half a year to complete.
Riku roughly told Natsu about the mission process. Natsu and Happy were shocked hearing it. They didn't expect Riku's mission this time to be so dangerous. If it were them, they might have died countless times. Truly worthy of a mission no one could complete in ten years; probably only a monster like Riku could complete it.
"By the way, coming to Hargeon, are you also passing through after completing a mission?"
Natsu sighed with some disappointment: "No, I heard a Fire Dragon was in this city, but it turned out not to be true."
Riku smiled: "How could Igneel appear on the city streets? If he really appeared, it would have caused an uproar long ago."
There was one sentence he didn't say: Igneel is inside your body, how can you find him? But he couldn't say this.
On one hand, Igneel was creating antibodies for Natsu. On the other hand, he couldn't explain how he knew. So it was better to let nature take its course.
"Ah——!"
Natsu and Happy suddenly had expressions of realization.
"Damn it! I was actually deceived! Made me take the train for so long. When I get back to the guild, I must teach that bastard Krov a lesson!"
"Aye!"
Just as the three of them had eaten and drunk their fill and were ready to leave, several girls walked into the restaurant and sat in the booth behind them.
"Hey! Did you hear? Lord Salamander is hosting a party on the ship tonight!"
"I heard, I heard! So envious! I really want to go too!"
"Salamander? Who is that?"
One girl obviously hadn't heard.
"Don't you know? That recently super famous guild, a mage of Fairy Tail!"
Riku, Natsu, and Happy paused their eating.
Riku looked at Natsu and Happy and asked: "Did a new person join the guild during the half year I was away?"
Natsu and Happy shook their heads together.
"No, no new people joined in the last half year. I haven't seen that guy at all."
"Aye!"
"..."
The air fell silent. Riku, Natsu, and Happy's faces all became somewhat gloomy. Since Natsu and Happy hadn't seen him, that guy was undoubtedly an imposter.
Impersonating someone else's guild to do bad things and smearing the guild's reputation was something no guild could tolerate.
Riku's eyes narrowed slightly, and he said in a cold tone: "It seems I need to meet this Lord Salamander. Since he dares to impersonate Fairy Tail, I wonder if he is prepared to pay the price."
