Unless the Space Stone was completely useless to the Blue-Eyes White Dragon.
Feny thought that was unlikely. Even if the hatchling Blue-Eyes couldn't digest such immense energy right now, perhaps it would be able to after a few evolutions.
However, getting his hands on the Tesseract was no easy feat.
The Tesseract wasn't like the "Obelisk" he had dealt with before. Even if the Obelisk was S.H.I.E.L.D.'s very first 0-8-4 (Object of Unknown Origin), as long as there was no immediate use for it, its value remained low. That was why Nick Fury was willing to use it as a bargaining chip with Feny.
But the Tesseract was different. Setting aside the HYDRA energy weapons of the past, the Captain Marvel incident alone was enough for Fury to realize the supreme importance of this object.
If Feny tried to take it away from S.H.I.E.L.D. permanently, Nick Fury wouldn't agree under any circumstances. But if it was just for a "taste test," there might be some room for cooperation.
Feny stood rooted to the spot, lost in thought, pondering how to make that "black braised egg" (Fury) cooperate obediently.
Beside him, the Blue-Eyes White Dragon tilted its head and looked at him. Like a giant pet, it leaned its massive head over, wanting to nuzzle him.
Feeling the dragon's affection, Feny's train of thought was interrupted. He couldn't help but smile, patting its head and wondering if he should give it a name. However, considering the dragon didn't yet have a fully developed independent mind, he decided to postpone the naming until after a few evolutions to see how its personality developed.
Next, Feny tested the dragon's speed and strength. In its hatchling stage, it wasn't particularly strong—at least, it didn't quite live up to the grand descriptions in the system. Aside from its razor-sharp claws, teeth, and wing spikes, which were highly penetrative, its strength and speed were actually inferior to Feny's own.
As for defense, Feny didn't have the heart to test it ruthlessly, but those hard white scales were more than enough to shrug off bullets. Regarding abilities like "Dragon Breath," it seemed to have none at all; perhaps that was something unlocked through evolution.
Afterward, Feny attempted to cancel the summons. The Blue-Eyes White Dragon's body emitted a glow, gradually shrinking until it condensed back into a card that floated before him. Feny looked at the card with delight before fully deactivating the skill, letting the card dissipate into the air.
Feny knew there were still many things to test regarding the Blue-Eyes White Dragon: how long it could remain summoned, the maximum control distance, and whether others could summon it on his behalf. But those weren't easy to test now; he'd have to verify them one by one in the future.
Returning home, Feny was in high spirits. He was very satisfied with this sixth draw. Although it didn't seem to provide an immediate boost to his combat power—given how weak the hatchling dragon was—and he already had the Sky Dance technique for flight, things would change once the dragon grew. If the system described it as "renowned for its attack power" and "possessing immeasurable destructive force," Feny believed the system wouldn't lie to him.
However, the thought of evolution made him worry. Nick Fury's nature was to trust no one. Even if Feny told him the truth—that he just wanted his pet to "eat" the Tesseract for energy—Fury would suspect a trap. He'd worry if the dragon would spit it back out, if Feny would swap it for a fake, or if the dragon would damage it.
Feny scratched his hair in frustration. Should he really try to use "Golden Ars Magna" to command Nick Fury? Without knowing what hidden trump cards S.H.I.E.L.D. held, he didn't want to go that far. If he were caught, there would be no turning back from a total fallout.
---
Since obtaining the Blue-Eyes White Dragon, Feny's daily routine had gained a new task.
He had to set aside time every day to feed this glutton. Feny used to think Hulk's appetite was staggering, but after seeing the Blue-Eyes White Dragon eat, he realized what "small fry" truly meant.
"Still not full?"
Feny looked at the dragon's stomach, which showed no sign of bulging. He thought to himself that if his third skill had been the Blue-Eyes instead of "Incursio," it probably wouldn't be so weak by now.
For two full hours, Feny had been summoning "Sumire's Fried Chicken Rolls" without stopping, and every single one had vanished into the dragon's gullet. After another half hour of feeding, the Blue-Eyes finally let out a satisfied roar, seemingly full at last.
Seeing this, Feny suddenly felt that "Sumire's Fried Chicken Rolls" might actually reach its next evolution before the dragon did. Either way, an evolution for either was a win for him.
Ending today's feeding session, Feny canceled the summon. He looked at the card and noted the faint appearance of a second star. He sighed inwardly; the evolution requirements for the Blue-Eyes White Dragon were even higher than he had imagined.
It had been a week, and despite feeding it massive amounts of chicken rolls every day, the evolution progress had only moved a tiny bit. Feny had tried feeding it other things—meat, vegetables, live poultry—but after comparing the gains, he realized the chicken rolls were the most cost-effective. Not only were they free, but they also granted him experience points. It was killing two birds with one stone.
Fortunately, since the dragon was technically a skill or a summon card, it wouldn't starve or lose progress if he didn't feed it while it was in card form.
Back at home, Feny was still preoccupied with the Tesseract. If he relied solely on chicken rolls, who knew how many years it would take for the Blue-Eyes to reach its final form?
"Feny, the food in the fridge is almost gone. Let's go buy some more!"
Skye's voice drifted from the kitchen, snapping him out of his thoughts.
"It's only been a few days, and it's gone already?" Feny asked in surprise. He looked at Skye as she walked out with a guilty expression. "I remember you just went shopping a few days ago, didn't you?"
"I... I didn't actually buy that much last time!" Skye lied, avoiding his eyes. She knew she had been eating a lot lately, but knowing she wouldn't gain weight made it impossible to control her cravings.
"Sigh!"
Looking at Skye's unchanged figure, Feny couldn't help but sigh. He hadn't even solved the problem of his "Big Foodie" (Blue-Eyes), and now he had to take his "Little Foodie" (Skye) out for groceries.
However, since the sixth draw had just concluded, he needed to rest even if he was anxious for the seventh. He had exhausted himself lately grinding for experience.
Time ticked by quietly. By the end of October, Feny still didn't have a foolproof way to get Fury to hand over the Tesseract. He decided he would try to scare Nick Fury by telling him how dangerous the Space Stone was, hoping to make Fury ask for his help. Then, he could "fish in troubled waters" and let the Blue-Eyes have a taste of the Stone.
Thus, at the beginning of November, Feny took the initiative to contact Nick Fury for the first time.
