Chapter 5 - Chapter 4

Morning came slowly over the capital of the Nine God Dynasty.

Feng Hao leaned on the balcony, the wind tugging slightly at his robes. Below, the palace courtyard was empty, quiet except for the soft rustle of banners. The plains stretched beyond the city like an endless canvas—empty, untouched, waiting.

His eyes scanned the horizon. Ten thousand square kilometers of land… it wasn't much.

"Not much," he muttered under his breath. The words sounded smaller than he felt.

He wasn't used to being this powerful, not really. Sure, the stats were absurd—Primordial God race, Supreme Godfiend bloodline, Myth-level talents—but holding that kind of power felt… strange. Heavy, even.

"System," he said after a pause, his voice steady but thoughtful, "scan the surrounding territories."

A translucent map unfolded before him.

[Surrounding Region Scan – Great Wilderness]

East: Black Earth Tribe (Mortal Tribe, Pop. 32,000, Threat: Negligible)

West: Iron Rock Village Cluster (Mortal Villages, Pop. 54,000, Threat: Negligible)

South: Broken Blade Sect (Low Mortal Sect, Sect Master Qi Refining Lv.8, Threat: Low)

North: Unclaimed Spirit Plains (Minor Spirit Energy Density, Hidden Resource Probability: High)

Feng Hao squinted at the Broken Blade Sect.

"A sect already…" he murmured. Then he shook his head. Don't get ahead of yourself.

He turned back to the palace. The thought of sending his divine soldiers into battle so early made him uneasy.

He opened the Dynasty Interface.

[Dynasty Interface – Nine God Dynasty]

Territory: 10,000 km²

Population: 10,000 (Weak, Sickly, Elderly)

Barracks: Fortress of the Infinite Legacy (Inactive)

Military: 100 Soldiers (Body Refining Lv.1–3), 10 Captains (Body Refining Lv.6), 1 Commander (Foundation Establishment Lv.2)

Treasury: Empty

He exhaled slowly. "Okay… this is tiny. But it's enough for a start."

He raised his hand, hesitated for a moment, then said quietly, almost to himself:

"System… summon the army."

The Mountain behind the palace stirred. Mist coiled around its peak. Light glimmered along its carved surfaces—soldiers, generals, elders, and ancestral figures frozen in time, awaiting orders.

The gates opened.

Divine Soldiers stepped forward. They were only Qi Refining Lv.1, yet the faint aura of their existence pressed against Feng Hao's consciousness. Not oppressive, just… intense.

The ten Divine Captains followed, each radiating calm, controlled energy.

Finally, the Divine Commander appeared. His eyes were like deep pools, quiet, calculating.

Feng Hao cleared his throat. "Commander… we need to expand. Start with the nearby tribes. The Broken Blade Sect… handle them."

The Divine Commander nodded once. "Understood, Emperor. We'll move carefully."

Feng Hao hesitated, feeling the weight of the words he'd just spoken.

Carefully. That was the key. They could crush the world in an instant—but it wasn't just about power. It was about strategy, about setting the stage for what came next.

The Annexation

The Black Earth Tribe didn't know what hit them.

One moment, their hunters were tracking deer in the forest. The next, figures appeared on the plains: soldiers whose presence felt like an invisible wall, commanding attention without a word.

The chieftain trembled. Kneeling wasn't a choice—it was instinct.

Feng Hao's army didn't attack. They merely stood there, letting their presence communicate authority.

By nightfall, both the Black Earth Tribe and Iron Rock Village Cluster had submitted. No battles. No bloodshed. Only quiet, almost reluctant obedience.

The Broken Blade Sect

The sect resisted.

Feng Hao watched from his balcony as their sect master stood at the gate, a sword trembling in hand.

He's only Qi Refining Lv.8… Feng Hao thought. This won't be difficult, but I can't underestimate him.

A Divine Captain stepped forward, silently. One swift strike shattered the sect master's blade. The sect itself seemed to shiver, as if realizing its existence was fragile.

When the dust settled, the Broken Blade Sect was gone. Not a body left behind—only the echo of a decision, and the treasure of the sect vaults awaiting Feng Hao's claim.

Talents in Action

The moment the sect fell, the Myth-level talents activated.

[INFINITE RECURSION ENGINE Lv.1]

Resources multiplied in endless loops. Herbs, spirit stones, ores—all began to grow at impossible rates.

[ABSOLUTE COSMIC HARVEST Lv.1]

Hidden veins erupted with life. Ancient, long-buried treasures surfaced.

[PRIMORDIAL PERFECTION FORGE Lv.1]

Low-quality resources refined themselves. Defects vanished. Every item became almost perfect.

Feng Hao blinked at the panels that flooded his vision.

[Dynasty Update]

Territory: 82,000 km²

Population: 196,000

Spirit Veins: 3 (Minor → Evolving)

Treasury: Overflowing

Military Status: Stable

Overall Evaluation: Abnormal Growth Detected

He rubbed the bridge of his nose. "This… is a lot. Even for me."

Feng Hao rubbed the bridge of his nose, staring at the constantly updating panels. His first cultivation session had finished—not a simple body refinement or Qi consolidation, but a complete attunement to his Myth-level talents and the energy flowing through the Nine God Dynasty.

[Dynasty Update]

Territory: 82,000 km²

Population: 196,000

Spirit Veins: 3 (Minor → Evolving)

Treasury: Overflowing

Military Status: Stable

National Combat Power: 3,820,000

He exhaled slowly. The numbers made his head spin, but it wasn't just the raw numbers—it was how smoothly the dynasty had absorbed the energy, how even the faintest spirits in the environment seemed to bend and flow toward him.

This… this is only the beginning, he thought.

The system's voice rang, calm and respectful.

"Host, your cultivation has completed. All summonable units are now calibrated to reflect your current level."

Feng Hao blinked.

The Mountain—the Fortress of the Infinite Legacy—shimmered again, and a ripple ran through the ground as if the stone itself were breathing. Mist twisted around the ancient carvings, and an aura of subtle intimidation radiated outward.

[Fortress of the Infinite Legacy – Level 2 Activated]

Summonable Units (Scaled to Host):

500 Divine Soldiers: Qi Refining Level 9

50 Divine Cavalry: Foundation Establishment Level 1

50 Divine Captains: Foundation Establishment Level 3

5 Divine Commanders: Foundation Establishment Level 5

Divine Generals: Cultivation Level 6

Divine Marshal: Cultivation Level 9

Feng Hao's lips curved slightly, not in arrogance, but in satisfaction. The units were no longer "mere pawns." They could execute complex formations, respond independently to threats, and—most importantly—grow stronger alongside him.

He raised his hand, testing the new limits.

"Summon," he said.

Mist swirled. Soldiers, cavalry, captains, commanders, generals, and the single marshal emerged simultaneously. Each unit radiated power, but it wasn't blinding—it was disciplined, controlled. Their gazes met his as if acknowledging his presence, waiting for direction, not blindly worshipping.

Feng Hao studied them, noting subtle changes: soldiers' Qi flowed more smoothly, cavalry horses' wings flexed with precise control, captains already taking mental notes to adjust formations, commanders radiating stabilizing energy across the ranks, and the generals and marshal standing like peaks above the rest, powerful yet patient.

Exactly as it should be, he murmured.

He tapped the resource panel.

[Daily Harvest – Activated]

Herbs: +5,000 units (Earth Grade)

Spirit Stones: +2,000 units (Mysterious Grade)

Ores: +8,000 units (Heaven Grade)

Special Treasures: 14 artifacts, including cultivation relics, rare formations, and defensive treasures

Then he sighed, a very human gesture of mixed exhaustion and amazement. "This is… a lot. I need to be careful… I can't just throw this power around blindly. One wrong move…"

He opened the sign-in panel.

[Daily Sign-In – complete]

He looked out at the boundaries of the Nine God Dynasty's territory, imagining the nearby wastelands, forests, and spirit-infested plains.

This land… and all the resources within it… they're mine to shape. Slowly, carefully.

And with that, he exhaled and began issuing his first orders to the newly empowered army, aware that the next move—annexing or destroying the surrounding wilds—would be his first true test of strategy, patience, and the terrifying scale of his Myth-tier talents.
