Elric gets up from the ground kneeling while groaning in pain after hardly faceplanting on the wet dirt below, his eyes darting around the place unable to make out what had happened. Confusion visible on his face "Well ain't this great.." Elric said to himself his tone was quiet and annoyed "looks like i've brought myself to an edge.." He muttered quietly slowly getting up from the ground before sighing quietly clearly knowing he had brought himself to his own coffin.
"A traveler in the middle of a forest alone with no equipments to protect himself.. How rare to see now days." the sudden quiet yet gentle voice hang in the air causing Elric to immediately turn his body around towards where the voice came while also pulling out a pocket knife from his jacket "Who's there!?" Elric yelled his stance protective and catious. Three years of being a firefighter had taken toll in his brain making him act before thinking from instincts.
"You don't need to point your weapon on me traveler, i won't hurt you." the face came out of the shadow revealing a tall pale man with a almost like traditional attire, his smile thin, his eyes sharp yet there's no mischief behind it. "Who are you supposed to be?.. A merchant?" Elric said sarcastically as the tall man just continue smiling his eyes closing slightly with his head tilted to the side before speaking up "you are absolutely right. I am a merchant.." The merchant replied with the same sarcastic tone "that's quite a tone you had there for a someone you just met." The merchant said quietly his voice lower than before.
"Well forgive me about my tone. I didn't expect you to actually be a merchant because of your ~'Royal'~ looking attire." Elric said through his teeth, annoyance plastered on his face "alright enough talking! You are absolutely pissing me off." The merchant said angrily his hand went up towards the air as a circle of glowing symbol covered the ground teleporting them to a place similar to a castle. "I've brought him here! Can i leave now!? This man is seriously pissing me off!" The merchant yelled angrily towards a woman up in the throne, his steps frantics as he walks towards her.
"I think it's your problem because you are really easy to get ragebaited on.." The woman said quietly her eyes staring into the merchant owns before looking away from him and slowly walk towards where Elric is "you may go now Líng. Your face are ruining my view" The woman said with a harsh tone as the merchant then scoffs before leaving the room. The woman watches him walk away, waiting for the merchant to disappear from her view before moving her focus towards Elric a gentle formed on her lips "you must be Inca! How was your trip here?" She asks gently her hand clamps together eager for Elric answers.
"First. I am not Inca.. Second. it was a awful trip. Third. I face planted myself on the ground and somehow spawned in a forest." Elric said with a flat tone, his eyes glaring towards her as he was crossing his arms as the woman stare at him with a awkward disbelief "you.. You are not Inca?.." She asks quietly with a shaking smile her body as Elric just shook his head with a flat expression plastered on his face "oh dear i must've teleport the wrong person." The woman said quietly her face turning white "Mmh hm, you did. Now can i go back to world now?" Elric asks with annoyed tone his arms uncrossing with one of the hands resting on his hip
"I can't" the woman said flatly. "What? What do you mean 'you can't'?" Elric asked with a shocked disbelief look on his face "i can't bring you back to your world.. The portal can be only used once after 5 years." The woman said quietly with pity dripping from her tongue. "That's the reason why I've brought 'you' here... Well I'm supposed to say 'someone' from your world.." She said quietly spawning a chair behind Elric before gently pushing him down to the chair letting him rest and think about everything that had happened clearly. "The portal was supposed to teleport someone named 'Inca' but it seems like the portal malfunction due to the lack of mana it had causing you to be the one getting teleported here." She said softly "then how can i get back to my world? I cannot stay here." Elric said with a serious yet scared tone "there's no other way.. After the Elves Nation suspiciously went extinct this world had became unbalanced. The magic structures created by the Elves Nation slowly looses their magic because it could only function with the Elves mana." The woman said quietly putting her hand on Elric shoulder gently "so if i wanted to go back my world i have to wait 5 years.. It couldn't be that bad.. Right?.." Elric asks quietly lifting his head up his expression etched with concern, fear, and doubt "it wouldn't be bad if this world function the same as yours because this world move slower than yours.. With 10 days per week, 5 weeks per month, and 14 months per year. You're gonna have a tough time being here." Elric eyes widened in disbelief unable to accept the fact this world function differently than his own planet earth with his body collapsing back into the behind him "I'm gonna lose my insanity because of this." Elric muttered quietly putting one of his hand onto his face as cold sweats drips from his face.
The woman looks down at Elric with pity on her face as she then sighs softly before grabbing Elric face and lifting it up to meet her eyes "we have another way to bring you back faster.. But it's gonna be a real dangerous task." Hearing her words Elric eyes glimmer with hope as he slowly gets up from his chair once more "I'll take it. Anything to bring me back to my world." Elric said with determination in his voice and eyes "well then.. The task is you need to find out about what had happened to the Elves.. Find out what had made them extinct all of the sudden. We need them back because without them, this world will be forever unbalanced." She said with a serious tone both of her hands on top of Elric shoulders "I'll prepare you the stuffs you need for your task but first you need rest.. The travel here had token toll of your stamina and we don't want you to go out there with a low stamina.." The woman said quietly pulling away from Elric taking a step back from him as she put her hands behind her back "your task starts tomorrow.. Prepare yourself because this will not be easy." Elric nodded at her words his face plastered with unconditional determination "before you go to your private chamber.. Do you mind if i ask what's your name is?.." She asks quietly waiting for a reply "Elric. Elric Vhalos." Elric said his name with pride as the woman smiles gently before nodding "welcome to your new adventure Elric.."
