No Pov:
"So, do you have any plans this time?". Yuri asked turning towards Nightmare.
"The main objective remains. You hunt him down while I begin the ritual. We can't afford to waste more time".
Yuri stood up—his tendrils swaying in the air as he stretched. "Whatever you say... We still have two more zones anyway"
As Drex walked through the door, he stopped and took a look— the classroom looked fuller than it used to be; mostly because some of the hunters had returned from their missions.
He exhaled and moved forward.
Then..
"Oof".
"Oii watch where you're going".
He seemed to have bumped into someone. The voice was familiar too.
When he turned he narrowed his eyes.
It was Adam
"It's you...". Adam growled. "You think I'll let you get away with what you did? Not when you made a fool outta me".
Drex furrowed his eyebrows. He was the last person he wanted to deal with right now.
Adam grabbed his jacket. By this time all eyes were on them. "Who do you think you are? HUH?! I was going to put that weakling in his place. All you weak bastards thinking you deserve to stand on equal footing with us. Disgusting."
Adam kept on talking. Drex stayed silent— slightly raised up in the place Adam held up.
He could feel it. The boiling rage when remembered that moment— the kid just lost a dagger; he came back alive.. that's all that was meant to matter.
Because as far as he knew, a human life was far more important than some ranking or title he kept whining about.
"Oi..." Drex, who finally had enough started to speak— his voice came low, trying to hide every evidence of rage that was boiling within him.
"Get your hands off me." He said as he grabbed Adam's wrist.
Adam's expression tightened. He felt insulted. A B rank was really challenging him..
"You son of a—" Adam roared, throwing a punch at him.
BAM
Drip...
Drip...
Drip...
Blood on the floor— one drop after the other. Drex gritted his teeth. He was able to catch the punch—barely.
The force tore his hand open. From the space in between his third and middle fingers all the way to his wrist—but for some reason the pain only seemed to enrage him further. Drex stepped back, breathing heavily as he grit his teeth harder.
Adam chuckeled. "You talk big but you're all bark and no bite... Look at you— bleeding out from a simple punch. Pathetic."
Drex kept staring at him, the blood continued to drop on the floor. Then suddenly his vision started to blur. Then, black fog seemed to gather in around one of his eyes, obscuring his vision from one side.
"Disgusting."
Drex's eyes widened. In a split second, he was no longer in his classroom. Now he appeared to be in his mindscape and in front of him, a certain chained devil sat, his jagged teeth was the only thing that seemed to be visible on the black shoulette.
"You allowed yourself to be wounded by vermin like that." It spoke, but the mouth of the figure didn't move. The voice revibrated through the terrain. His blood ran cold.
Black mist surrounded Drex. It terrified him."You can feel it right? You feel my presence don't you?
I feed on your rage and trauma. It fuels me. It's exhilarating". He cackled.
Drex shivered. His rage completely replace with fear and terror..
"Switch with me."
Those words stabbed Drex through his chest— fear gripping him.
"Come on, switch with me I'll make this quick..." He spoke again—his voice grimm.
"Come on!! SWITCH! HAHAHA. LET ME OUT!!". Nyroth cackled, one which sounded more like mockery than amusement.
The next moment, Drex was back to reality—he took deep shaky breaths to try to calm himself. One of his eyes had already gone black with that cyan dot in the centre. Evident that he was already loosing loosing control.
Drex placed a hand on that side of his face as his breathing grew louder—he could feel his heart pounding in his chest...
"Honestly.... You're a piece of work".
Hayley spoke before grabbing his arm in an attempt to leave the the class. This seemed to calm him a little bit as his breathing slowed and his eye cleared.
"Come with me." She said before turning to Adam.
"Sorry about that. He doesn't really know how things go around here. He's still a noob..."
Drex, on the other hand stayed silent, staring at the ground still trying to recover from what he just went through.
Adam clicked his tongue. " Tch...I'll be sure to teach you a lesson. You have a hottie with you so I'll let it slide this time".

Hayely took Drex outside and brought him to a bench nearby. "Sit here, I'll go get a bandage."
Saying that, she went into a nearby room.
"You doing alright?" Hades spoke up when Hayley was out of sight. "You seem out of it".
Drex didn't answer.
"Was it something you saw? What'd he tell you?"
Still no answer.
Hades stood there for a moment before sighing and disappearing back into his mind.
Drex was completely silent. He wasn't surew he would be able to keep up with all this—it was definitely too much for him. This was his life now.
He had to deal with it; he knew that much...
After a few moments, Hayley returned, bandage in hand as she walked towards Drex.
She bent in front of him and took his hand — wrapping the bandage on his affected fingers before wrapping the rest of his palm she was careful. Precise — careful not to aggravate the wound. The way her fingers brushed his skin was oddly comforting.
"I don't know why you just won't let me heal you like everyone else this is way too much work you know?". All this time they had been in silence so she decided to speak.
"I didn't ask for this. And i can treat myself just so you know."
"But I'm supposed to take care of you. As much as i hate this, i don't have a choice." By now, she had finished closing his wound so she stood up. "There. All done. Of all the hunters to beef with you chose a special rank. You're more stupid than i thought."
Then, walking in front of him, she spoke again "C'mon, i saw the teacher on my way back. Let's go or we'll be late".
Drex stayed still for a moment before standing up.
"Sorry about that and thanks for the help."
Hayely gave him a side stare before walking back to the class.

When they entered however, Drex froze. His eyes on the woman standing in front of the class— her purple eyes staring into his own.
"Oh. You're both here. Take your seats." She said with a sinister smile.
Clearly it seemed everything was working according to plan for her.
And she couldn't be happier...
