Auxiliary Volume – Chapter List & Content

Aux-1: The Boy Who Never Slept

Focus: Marshall D. Teach

The sea was always loud at night.

Waves slapped against rotten wood. Wind crept through broken planks. The cries of gulls echoed like mockery. But none of it was louder than the silence inside the boy.

Marshall D. Teach lay on his back, staring up at the sky.

He had never slept.

Other children closed their eyes and drifted away. Teach stayed awake—always. His eyes burned, his thoughts never slowing. When exhaustion came, it did not bring rest. Only hunger.

He watched the moon reflect on the water, fractured and unstable.

Why doesn't it sink? Why does it stay whole when it's broken?

A group of pirates laughed nearby. One of them shoved another playfully.

"Family's all you got in this world," one said. "Without 'em, you're already dead."

The words struck something sharp inside Teach.

Family.

He watched as the same man was later stabbed in the back during a drunken argument—by someone he'd called brother.

Blood spilled into the sea.

No one helped him.

Teach didn't blink.

That night, he learned something.

Family made you hesitate.Family made you weak.Family gave enemies somewhere to aim.

The moon trembled in the water.

Teach smiled faintly.

"If I take everything…" he whispered into the dark, "…I'll never lose anything."

The sea did not answer.

Aux-2: Brothers in Uniform

Focus: Garp & Sengoku

Smoke blanketed the ruined island.

Buildings burned. Bodies lay scattered—pirates, civilians, Marines. The mission had been simple.

It had turned into a massacre.

A younger Monkey D. Garp stood amid the destruction, blood running down his face—not all of it his. He laughed, loud and reckless, even as explosions echoed behind him.

"Well!" he boomed. "That was rough!"

Sengoku stared at him in disbelief.

"People are dead," Sengoku snapped. "This isn't something to laugh about."

Garp scratched his head. "If we stop laughing, we stop moving."

They stood there together—two survivors among ruins.

That night, as fires crackled and screams faded, they sat back-to-back.

"If one of us ever falls," Sengoku said quietly, staring into the flames, "the other won't look away."

Garp grinned. "You're serious about everything, huh?"

"…Promise me."

Garp's laughter softened.

"Yeah," he said. "I promise."

The fire burned low.

Neither of them forgot.

Aux-3: The Hero Who Chose Blood

Focus: Garp

Garp watched from afar.

A small boy punched trees until his fists bled. Fell. Got up. Fell again.

Luffy never cried.

Good, Garp thought. He's strong.

Years later, he watched Ace run—hunted, cursed, condemned.

And Garp did nothing.

He told himself strength would be enough. That surviving meant winning. That love without power was meaningless.

He was wrong.

Now he sat in chains, body aching, bones heavy with age.

And he smiled.

"At least…" Garp muttered, "…he grew strong."

The chains rattled softly.

Regret stayed silent.

Aux-4: Two Seas, One Name

Focus: Multiverse Contrast

In one world—

Luffy laughed on Elbaph, surrounded by giants, meat, and sunlight.

In another—

Luffy stood still, heart pounding for no reason he could name.

The same heartbeat echoed across two seas.

Something's wrong.

The wind shifted.

"If he's chained…" the other Luffy whispered into the dark, "…then this world is wrong."

The sea listened.

Aux-5: The Day Darkness Learned Fear

Focus: Blackbeard & Garp (Past)

Teach had been confident.

He had power. Ambition. Darkness.

Then Garp punched him.

No technique. No mercy. Just overwhelming force.

Teach crashed through stone like paper.

He couldn't breathe.

Couldn't move.

Couldn't understand.

So this is a hero.

Garp stood over him, unimpressed.

"Get stronger," Garp said. "Or disappear."

Fear took root that day.

It never left.

It transformed.

Aux-6: Sengoku's Unspoken Sin

Focus: Sengoku

As Fleet Admiral, Sengoku had chosen justice.

Orders. Balance. Stability.

And he had let Garp stand alone.

Now, aboard a warship cutting through the sea, Sengoku stared at his reflection in the glass.

"This time…" he whispered, "…I won't send anyone else."

He straightened his coat.

And sailed to Pirate Island.

Aux-7: The Weight of the Name 'Monkey'

Focus: Luffy & Garp

"Endure it," Garp had said.

Luffy screamed—but he endured.

Now, standing at the helm, Luffy clenched his fists.

Strength wasn't cruelty.

It was love—misunderstood.

"I get it now," Luffy whispered.

The sea answered with a wave.

Aux-8: Before the Storm Breaks

Focus: All Sides

Blackbeard laughed beneath torchlight.

Sengoku's fleet cut through the fog.

Luffy stood silent at the helm.

Three routes.

One island.

One dawn.

"Tomorrow," the sea seemed to whisper,"the world will remember their names."
