Chapter 2 - The End of Sam Apples !

The young man is sleeping in the living room and wakes up to a terrifying sound like the sound of the Horo!

He grabs his phone to light up the darkness of the room so he can see, in order to go and press the light switch.

While he is walking, something falls from the ceiling, so he directs the light towards it and sees a black sticky substance, then he looks at the ceiling to see his mother covered in that black substance!

That substance he saw before the giant Horo chased him; this means a Horo is present here!

Something comes passing quickly on the ceiling and stands ready to eat the woman.

The young man feels terror and helplessness; his mother will be eaten in front of him by the Horo.

Suddenly, a feminine voice says: "Sam, Sam."

And the young man wakes up!

RAIN (The young man's mother):

"Sam, come on, you will find the cup of cappuccino on the wall shelf."

Sam (the young man) replies: "Okay mother, but I do not like drinking caffeine immediately upon waking up."

She speaks to him in a loud tone: "Man, you must wake up and focus with me; there is an important matter I will tell you about."

Then her tone becomes tender: "Come on, my son."

"Okay mother, I will prepare myself and come down."

Rain goes down, and Sam went to the bathroom and washed his face.

The name of this young man is: SAM APPLES, age 21.

If we look at him, we will see a fair-skinned young man, his hair is light brown, his eyes are brown, his beard is light and its color is like his hair; he does not have a mustache because he removed it two days ago.

He loves hot drinks, especially cappuccino, and he has a fondness for reading books, novels, and stories and living with them.

He is a lover of languages and learning them; he masters the English language and it is his mother tongue, and he masters the Arabic language because it is the most important language; as it is the world language number 1, and it is the language of the Holy Qur'an. He was learning Chinese and Japanese languages in recent days.

Welcome to LAVA MOON; it is the country in which Sam Apples lives.

After Sam took a refreshing bath, dressed, and dried his hair, he goes and sits on the balcony near his room, inhales the beautiful morning breeze, and then drinks the cup of cappuccino.

He goes down the stairs to the kitchen, which has a built-in area that seems like a room dedicated to sitting.

Sam's mother, in her fifties, sits on a sofa that has a beautiful mix of white and orange colors, and next to the sofa is a black wooden table and a wooden chair of watermelon color.

Sam's young sister, who is younger than him by two years minus a month, comes and sits on that chair.

Rain speaks with her tender voice with pleasure as she looks at the one coming down: "Sam has come," then she stands up.

The mother placed the food on the table after a while. The food: A tuna dish and fried meat slices, in addition to a plate of boiled eggs with loaves of Arabic bread and toast bread.

Then she places 3 large glass cups and pours orange juice into them.

Rain addresses her son: "Come on, sit Sam, and while we eat, we will talk."

Sam says while he is going to sit on the same sofa his mother is sitting on: "Do you mean the matter of the Horos?"

"Yes, did you watch the news?"

"Yes, and a giant one was going to eat me."

"What?!" (The word came from his mother and sister together).

JESSICA (Sam's sister): "Praise be to Allah, you are fine."

Rain: "Praise be to Allah. Tell me, my son, tell us everything that happened."

"Okay."

Then he stood and brought a glass of water and sat down, saying: "I went yesterday to Relax Lava located in the Lava Forest; I went to try the SPA, but..."

Then he drank the glass of water in two sips.

Meanwhile, Jessica says: "But what?"

"But when I entered, I found the place empty as if it had been abandoned for a while."

Rain: "Strange."

"Yes, and the strangest thing is that I saw walls that had not been cleaned for a long time, and I did not smell any bad odor, even in the bathrooms. Also, the place is very large, as if I entered a giant maze, because of the size of the rooms, the corridors, and the ceiling height."

Then Sam drank a sip of the orange juice.

"...Then I started fleeing at maximum speed, and from the speed, my hands hit the wall hard. During my escape, I was hearing the sound of the creature running and I heard from it a strange and terrifying roar."

Jessica says: "Can you describe the sound of its roar?"

"Not exactly, but it was terrifying like the sound of many lions roaring. It was the most terrifying sound I have heard in my life; its sound is annoying. Perhaps if I were close to the sound, I would have become deaf."

Jessica: "Happy for your safety, my brother. Complete, what happened?"

"I continued running and became in the forest, and for some reason, the Horo stopped chasing me. Perhaps it hates the light or the outdoors, I don't know."

The family finished the food and drink and exchanged talk, then Sam went out going to the company where he works, which is a translation company. Sam works as a translator there and answers calls from foreigners.

Sam's thought was wrong; the giant Horo stopped chasing him for another reason. One of the men attempted to escape, as it was an opportunity since the Horo was chasing Sam, but his luck was bad; during his escape, he approached the Horo more than Sam, so the Horo left Sam and chased that man until it ate him!

Sam's shift ended before sunset; his shift starts an hour before noon and ends a little before sunset.

Sam prayed the Maghrib prayer in one of the mosques near the company.

A little after that, he entered a cafe on the same street and saw his friend, so he sat with him.

It is Samer; his friend since childhood who works with him in the same company.

Samer is a dark-skinned young man with hazel eyes and dark brown hair, and he does not have a beard or a mustache, and he is one year younger than Sam.

They talk about the Horos and about work, and Sam did not tell his friend that he almost became a meal for the Horo.

He wants to spend an enjoyable time with his friend. They ate some pieces of strawberry cake and each of them drank a glass of cocktail.

Then after that, they went to perform the Isha prayer.

Upon their exit from the mosque, they saw many people; some of them came out of the mosque and some of them were shopping, and others who go to the large park near this street.

The two young men shake hands, Then Samer walks waving his hand and says smiling to his friend: "See you tomorrow."

Sam waves his hand to Samer and says smiling: "See you, my friend."

Suddenly, Samer is eaten from his head to his knees in one bite by a huge Horo!

Sam screams: "Samer!"

And tears begin to pour from his eyes, running at maximum speed to save himself.

He wipes his eyes from tears while running and turns right to the next street.

He continues running until he reached the end of the street and turns left to another street.

During the run, he sees a taxi, so he waves to the driver. The car comes and the driver asks Sam: "What is happening? Is there a Horo here or what?"

Sam gets in, then says: "Yes, we are in danger."

The car moves and exits the street, and the driver says: "Okay, tell me, where do you live?"

"In PEN ART STREET."

"Good, I live in the same area."

"I didn't know, that's good."

"Yes, but I don't live on the same street."

"Oh! My mother! My sister!"

Then he calls his sister.

The driver: "I hope they are fine. Damn the Horos, it seems they are nocturnal creatures."

The call:

Sam: "Sister."

"My brother, are you okay?"

"Yes, and you?"

"Fine, but something terrifying appeared near me and mother. I didn't see it well, but I think it is a Horo."

"Listen, go to the house and make sure it is lit or hide in a lit place."

"We are now in a taxi and on the way home."

"Me too."

"Why did you say to hide in a lit place?"

"Because I think the Horos are nocturnal creatures."

"Perhaps."

After a while, Sam arrived and got out of the car, thanking the driver while carrying his glowing phone.

Sam stares at the house, whose lights seem to be off, and says to himself: "No, I hope it is not inside."

Then a taxi comes and Sam's mother and sister get out; each of them carries a glowing phone. Both of them are wearing Hijab and each carries a small bag.

The taxi leaves and Sam says: "Wait, there might be a Horo inside."

Jessica says: "Don't worry Sam, for the Horo will not enter through the door."

"What about the open balcony window?"

"Oh my God!"

Rain: "Perhaps you are exaggerating, my children. Do not forget that the Horos are larger than elephants."

Sam: "I will enter first."

Sam enters while looking inside to make sure, as for his fear, it vanished because of what his mother said.

Outside, Jessica says to her mother: "Let's enter, mother. I don't want to stay in this terrifying place."

"Okay, let's enter."

They enter and light up all the rooms of the house except three rooms and the bathroom.

Sam is reassured after the rooms were lit and because he did not find a Horo.

Jessica: "See, there is nothing."

"Okay, I will close the window."

Rain: "Praise be to Allah, I will prepare food for us."

Sam closed the balcony window and went down to the living room, then his sister came and sat on one of the sofas with a turquoise color leaning towards light green.

Then Sam started crying because he remembered Samer, his friend who was eaten before his eyes by the Horo.

Jessica says: "Why are you crying?"

"I will tell you. I will go to the bathroom first, then I will tell you."

Sam heads to the bathroom which is next to the living room. The door was open, so he closes it and was about to go back.

"Brother, didn't you want to go to the bathroom?"

"Yes, I lost focus."

"Go on, go and come back."

"Okay."

Then Sam presses the bathroom light switch and enters, only to see a Horo jumping on him and biting his left thigh!

Sam falls backward, his trousers are torn, and blood flows from his thigh because of the bite. He is writhing in pain, feels weakness in his body, closes his eyes, and his consciousness is fading little by little.

In front of him is a Horo whose size is close to a human's size, and its head is larger than a human's head and can bite him and eat about half of him in one bite.

Sam thinks inside himself quickly: "It wasn't cut off, strange! Is this my end?"

And suddenly! Strong consecutive punches from Sam on the Horo's head.

The Horo leaves Sam, and Sam grabs two legs from the Horo's right side and punches it on its head and continues punching it on the head, and exits with the Horo while continuing to punch it with consecutive punches on its head.

Jessica, who was near the bathroom, screams.

Sam continues punching the Horo's head.

The Horo screams with a sound resembling the sound of an angry hyena.

Rain comes running, then screams when she sees the Horo.

Sam screams: "Open the door!"

Then he throws the Horo to the ground and says: "Bismillah" (In the name of Allah).

He punches the Horo's head with consecutive punches, each punch stronger than the previous one,

And the Horo's head implodes, creating a black mess of its blood and the remains that scattered here and there along with a sticky substance that covered the place. On the floor, scales of the blackest thing the eye could ever see spread.

A scene that gives a feeling of strangeness, disgust, and perhaps fear.

Sam was able, with his hand, to explode the head of the Horo, which is not affected even by bullets!

SAM APPLES: He is the first character among the main characters.

In another place...
