Chapter 2 - Author's Notes:

Hello everyone, how are you all doing?

Regarding this work, I'd like to say that I'm incredibly excited about it. Honestly, I've had this idea in my head for a long time, but I kept putting it off out of pure laziness.

My original plan for January was to write until the MC reached Gunlaug's Bright Castle before I even started publishing. However, I ended up releasing it early and went on a trip right after! It was a bit of a blunder on my part, but during the trip, I managed to further develop the Uchiha's connection to the lore, along with other characters and enemies.

And seriously: it turned out AMAZING! I'm really hyped to keep going. I've already defined the protagonist's first four Legacies and even have a decent AI-generated image of his future self. I plan to refine that art and eventually create a version of his current self as well. I also have nearly 100% of the Runes for the First and Second Nightmares planned out, along with the Attributes he will earn.

As for the release schedule, I intend to take about a week off from posting. During this time, I'll be writing until the end of the Academy arc. After that, the goal is to publish a chapter every 3 or 4 days—perhaps even sooner if I'm in a great mood or if the story gets a warm reception.

Once the MC enters the Nightmare, I'll take about a month to reread the original Shadow Slave and better plan the entire arc, as there will be many changes. It's been years since I read it, so I've forgotten quite a bit; I've refreshed my memory with some fanfics, but nothing beats the original source, right?

About the fanfic: I've read many fics that treat Fate as something easy to deal with, but it's not simple at all. I want to keep this work faithful to G3's rules—meaning: without loss, there is no gain. The MC will be strong, but he will have many limitations. So, if you are expecting a protagonist who starts off overpowered and does whatever he wants, I apologize.

I will follow a path close to the original, but with my own ideas: new Memories, original enemies, and much more.

As for the romance, the MC will have two important women in his life. Why two? Because I want to challenge myself to create meaningful interactions. I know it's hard to build convincing relationships, but I'll put a lot of effort into that, as well as the world-building.

Overall, that's it. I just ask for your patience and help if the grammar isn't perfect. Feel free to offer constructive criticism. As I mentioned, English isn't my first language—I mostly use it for programming—so writing a story is a huge challenge for me.
