I gasp for air. The window shatters and two nails go flying towards Bridge William, he opens his palm and the two nails stop in midair.
DING DING.
A bell rings in all the house.
The door presses againts me, i roll on the side and Mark enters the room. He looks at me and then at Bridge William, "take him out and protect him, NOW" Bridge William orders to Mark with the nails in a constant battle of push and pull.
"Yes sir" he gets near me and helps me get up, i slowly take my breath back and walk on my own, we go out of the room, from the other side of the hallway other people are coming towards us.
Three of them keep going while one of them, a girl stops infront of us. She has brown hairs, green eyes and she is wearing a black linen shirt and black trousers, man clothes.
She looks like a female version of Mark.
"Are you okay tomh?" She asks, my heart beats faster.
"Y-yes" she smiles and looks at Mark.
"What happened?"
"I don't know, Bridge William and Tomh got attacked, he told me to bring Tomh safe, let's not waste time"
"Alright" she turns around and keep walking ahead of us.
BOOM. The ground shakes. I turn around and look towards my room. But I don't see nothing different.
"Tomh don't waste time looking, let's go" Mark says giving me a quick look.
"Yeah sorry" we go down the stairs, to the hallway made of bricks.
How did he stop those nails, with his soul powers? Without him I would have been dead.
"Come on" the girl opens the second door on the left with some keys she had in her pocket.
We enter the room. On the left there is a bench and on the right a table and some chiars, with water and some papers scattered around.
I go towards the bench and let myself fall. I take deep breaths in.
Mark and the girl sit on the chiars after closing the door.
"What was that?" I say looking at them.
They look at each other and then at me.
"It was probably the warrior church, but we cannot rule out the order"
"Why did they attack us, also in our own house, that doesn't make sense." The girl says while looking at Mark "lately we didn't do anything to anger them"
"I don't know it doesn't seem an organized attack, or else you wouldn't be alive right now" Mark says looking at me "the real question now is why they did attack you so suddenly".
"Suddenly?" She asks.
"Yes, it seemed rushed from what i have seen" he says touching his chin "if the church of warriors really attacked us, Tomh or Bridge William we wouldn't be here right now, it is a rushed attack".
"You seem to be so sure Mark" i say sitting upright.
"What do you mean by that Tomh?" Mark says looking at me.
"You were in that room for five seconds, you don't know what happened, how can you be so sure?"
I don't trust that voice but it doesn't mean i have to trust you Mark, you have been hostile since the start.
Mark seems annoyed by my remark "why? Because i have a brain, that attack is too stupid to be done by the church of warriors, not counting that Bridge William was there too"
"Alright alright, let's wait until it's done before fighting " she says calming the spirits "Tomh do you want some water?"
"Yes thank you"
I don't know what is normal in this world but i don't think they would stay in this place if they were attacked so easily. rushed... Is this because of the prole thing?
The girl comes towards me and gives me the cup of water. I take it.
"What is your name?" I say to her, she looks confused "my name?... My name is Agnes"
"Thank you Agnes" i drink the water.
"Don't worry about it Tomh" she say smiling awkwardly.
She goes back at her seat. Mark ilooks down in deep thought.
"What is going on Mark?" She says putting a cup for her.
"It does seem like a unorganized attack but we didn't get news until we got attacked"
agnes seems to realize what Mark is thinking, a worried look on her face.
"What about it?" I say to them. Mark doesn't respond me.
"Ah right... you don't know, we would know way before is someone wanted to attack us here, only someone of great power and experience could evade our surveillance" Agnes says to me.
"So how they were able to attack me?"
"That's the problem Tomh, it means there was someone behind it" she looks at Mark "we have to tell them immediately"
"No we don't" he says looking up to her "if we realized it that means that Bridge William realized it immediately, don't understimate others sister"
So they are brother and sister, i do have a keen eye.
"We should tell them anyway, what if they didn't think about it since they are in the middle of a fight?" I say getting up.
"Stay down tomh" he says looking me for the first time in the eyes "he said i have to protect you so you listen to me"
"I don't listen to you, you listen to me, did you forget what Bridge William ordered?"
This is the best time, i have to find out and provoke him, i don't want to remain in doubt.
Mark clinches his fist "yes and i know what he told me a few minutes ago, to protect you, so sit down and wait"
I go towards the table and grab the keys "i will do what i think is right" why don't you want me to go outside? Is there a suprise waiting for me here?
"Don't be stupid guys, there are enemies outside, not now" Agnes says with no conviction in her voice.
"Leave the keys" mark says to me still sitting down, his anger now clear in his eyes, ready to explode.
I will not back down, not anymore.
"Or wha-" a piercing pain strikes my brain, my whole body goes numb and i fall on the ground.
"Mark why did you attack him?" Agnes yells from somewhere. Where- am- I-. I could not put one thought after another.
The face of mark appears all blurry, he gets down and takes the keys "you didn't listen, i told you to sit down"
My body not responding to me. My brain burning inside. Fucking- brat- i- will- kill- you-.
