Chapter 38 - Chapter 38 The Five Elders Call

"Hmm, is your Mama in that big tree over there?"

Nero's eye twitched as she watched the mountain-like tree slowly fall, feeling like this accursed place, Ohara, was truly at odds with her.

Robin watched the tree of knowledge fall, unable to react for a moment.

"Hmm, little girl, hold on tight! I'm going to use a little more strength!"

Powerful Haki gathered on the Primal Fire, Nero's eyes turned into beast pupils, and ruby-like horns began to grow among her golden hair.

She couldn't make it in time at this distance, so she had to improvise.

"Kamisari!!"

A massive sword energy carved a chasm in the earth, flying towards the burning tree of knowledge.

At the same time, Akainu and some of the CP Agentss still on the warship also noticed Nero's presence at that instant.

Kamisari sent the mountain-like tree of knowledge flying, but Nero's face showed no joy.

Her body accelerated once more; Robin, clinging to her, felt like she couldn't breathe. Nero paid no mind, landing in the crater where the tree of knowledge had originally been rooted in about ten seconds.

Robin gasped for air, the dizziness in her brain slowly fading. Looking around, she found the white-haired woman crushed under a boulder, her mother, Nico Olvia.

"Ma... Mama?" Robin cried out, rushing forward, wanting to push away the boulder, but with her small body, it was impossible.

She turned her head, looking at Nero with pleading eyes, but Nero didn't move. This woman had only one breath left; even if she pushed away the boulder, it would only cause her secondary injury and hasten her death.

"Cough... cough, Robin, I'm sorry!" Olvia's words were intermittent, and her attempts to raise her hand failed several times.

Her gaze finally fell on Nero: "Nero...-sama! Ro... Robin... I... I entrust her to you!"

Without waiting for Nero's reply, the last light in her eyes faded away.

"Hmm, I accept your request!" Although she knew Olvia couldn't hear her anymore, Nero still solemnly made the promise.

The sound of burning flames and Robin's cries echoed in the area. Nero didn't rush her, but quietly waited for her to vent where she stood.

The surrounding CP Agentss and Akainu finally arrived, all startled the moment they saw Nero. They didn't dare to get too close, maintaining a one-sided standoff with Nero.

Akainu clenched his fists several times, wanting to attack. The fire on his body flickered, but his Observation Haki frantically warned him that this woman, even without facing them directly, had no flaws whatsoever.

"Dereh-hee-hee, dereh-hee-hee!" Robin, who had been crying, suddenly let out a strange laugh for some reason.

This confused Nero, who was beside her. Is this... a problem with her head? Was it my acceleration just now? I just promised your mother I'd take care of you... Hmm, that's right! I heard Dorry is also retired in the First Half of the Grand Line; I'll find her to take a look.

Thinking this, Nero immediately struck Robin's nape with a hand chop, knocking her out.

And before Robin fainted, her last thought was: 'Saul, you lied!'

After doing this, Nero intended to leave directly. This little girl in her arms should be Ohara's last survivor. She felt she had come in vain.

Seeing Nero's disregard, Akainu's forehead veins bulged. Disregarding his Observation Haki's warning, he decided to teach this fellow a lesson, even if it meant getting injured.

"Meigou (Dark Hound)!"

Nero raised her leg. The current Akainu had not grown to his peak; he was still too green for her.

"Akaryu no Kagizume (Red Dragon's Claw)!"

Without using her sword, Nero kicked out an advanced version of the Rokushiki Rankyaku (Tempest Kick).

The blow, infused with Conquerors Haki Infusion, directly hit Akainu's body, sending him flying a certain distance.

"Hmm, was I too gentle?" Nero tilted her head, and her limbs began to dracofy.

Seeing the disparity between them, and the opponent still being so tactless, Nero, with the burden of Robin, decided not to hold back anymore.

"Hmm, try this move! Evil Marine!" Red and white lightning crackled on her fist, and Nero exuded a terrifying aura.

"Nani?" The familiar stance made Akainu's pupils shrink. In a daze, he seemed to see Vice Admiral Garp attacking him.

Then, a strong wave of anger surged in his heart. How dare a pirate call the righteous Marine evil? This was an act of rebellion!

"Inugami Guren (Dog Biting Crimson Lotus)!!"

He unleashed a full-power blow without reservation. Compared to his scorching Devil Fruit ability, Akainu's eyes were more like unmelting ice.

He was the exact opposite of Kuzan. Although Kuzan had the Ice-Ice Fruit, his eyes always held too much warmth, like a constantly burning flame.

Only today was an exception. Even through his sunglasses, Nero could see the confusion in Kuzan's eyes. It seemed the events of Ohara would become an unforgettable inner demon for him.

As for this fellow in front of her, he was somewhat sick in the head. Facing such a massacre, a Marine showed no emotion whatsoever, terrifyingly prejudiced.

"Heavenly Impact!"

He would be a troublesome fellow in the future, Nero judged. If he could die under this move, it would be the best outcome.

As expected, Nero's fist only paused for a moment before devastatingly hitting Akainu's face.

Akainu was also very direct; his eyes rolled back, and he flew away.

Kuzan finally arrived at this moment, catching Akainu in mid-air. However, the force was greater than he imagined, and he, along with Akainu, was sent flying towards the edge of the island.

This made Nero a little embarrassed, wondering if Kuzan had seen through her intention to kill Akainu.

Nero's original plan was for Akainu to fly a certain distance and then crash onto the ground, but Kuzan's move directly carried him away.

That increasingly distant figure seemed to be saying: This is my escape route!

Nero quickly shook her head, shaking off these bizarre thoughts, and looked at the remaining CP Agentss.

"Hmm, then it's your turn next!"

"Wait! Nero, there's a den den mushi call from the Gorosei." One of the agents stepped forward, holding a den den mushi.

"Nero! Why are you in Ohara?" A low voice came from the den den mushi, and it was clear that the person on the other end was frowning as they spoke.

"Hmm, do I need to explain where I am to you?" Nero said indifferently. Having reached the Final Island, she knew quite a bit about the Gorosei.

"Nero, give up what you intend to do. Don't force us to kill you. You know, although there would be a huge price, we are not incapable of doing so."

"Hmm, is that a threat to me?" A viscous, blood-like demonic Haki emanated, and red demonic patterns appeared on Nero's face.

Like a python coiling, a suffocating aura enveloped all the agents present, like a monster awakening, having just opened its eyes.

Within the same space, control over life was no longer in their hands.
