Chapter 13 - Chapter 13 Whitebeard

"Hmm, will Whitebeard really come here?" Nero asked listlessly the next day, lying on a beach chair and sipping iced juice.

"Am I wasting my time again?" Pushing up her sunglasses, Nero, clad in a bikini, picked up a macaron and turned to look at Shanks.

"The Captain said Whitebeard is active in this sea area and will most likely be resting on this small island," Shanks scratched his head. "Don't worry, Big Sister! Captain Roger's intuition is very accurate!"

"Is that so?" Nero lifted her sunglasses. "I'm not sure if Whitebeard has arrived, but it seems other guests have come first."

"Eh?"

"Enemy attack! It's the Marine!" Buggy shouted from the lookout.

"Nani? Why is Garp so persistent?" Roger's voice, as he drew his sword, was full of disdain, yet a wide smile was plastered on his face. "Where's Garp?"

"Seriously, with them acting like this, if someone told me one day that Garp joined the Roger Pirates, I wouldn't be surprised at all." Seeing Roger's undignified appearance, Nero flipped over and grumbled speechlessly.

In her Observation Haki, there was no Garp among this group of Marine soldiers, just a bunch of ordinary grunts. Although the leader had some strength, he was no threat, so Nero had no intention of even getting up.

Roger, at this point, also realized Garp was not among the Marine, and his fighting spirit instantly dropped by ninety-nine percent.

But in the end, he still forced himself to cheer up, quickly dealt with the Marine soldiers, and then grabbed one by the collar, saying, "If you want to catch me, bring Garp and Sengoku!"

Nero, who had been watching the commotion, rolled her eyes. "Hmm, I bet those words have no intention of sowing discord."

"What?" Shanks was a bit confused but quickly understood.

It wasn't a nightclub; a pirate specifically calling out a Marine was like ordering a courtesan. If they actually showed up, wouldn't others suspect something fishy?

It's just that most people here are thick-skinned and don't care. If it were someone who loved to play power games, you'd be exiled to the border if you didn't prove your innocence by death.

"When you put it that way, it does seem like it!" Shanks chuckled, suddenly finding the relationship quite amusing.

"Hmm, the ambiguous special relationship between men! It's both childish and complicated." Nero sat up and returned to the ship with Hathaway.

"Big Sister?" Shanks was puzzled. Why did she leave so suddenly?

A perplexed Shanks picked up a piece of chocolate and put it in his mouth, just as Buggy's voice came from the lookout again.

"Whitebeard! Whitebeard's ship has docked on the other side of the island! Woah! What's that? So fast!"

Buggy peered through his telescope at the rapidly approaching figure. "Is that the samurai?"

"Newgate? Finally here! And the legendary samurai!" Roger laughed, already seeing the commotion caused by the samurai running over.

"Jabba! Rayleigh! I'll handle it! I can't let you two get hurt."

Stopping the two who were about to act, Roger skipped to the front.

"You just want to fight yourself, don't you?" Rayleigh lowered his blade and grumbled speechlessly.

And the samurai, Kozuki Oden, arrived within twenty meters of Roger.

"The aura of a beast!"

Kozuki Oden felt Roger's presence, fierce and powerful like a wild beast in the mountains.

But he didn't stop, holding his sword with both hands, intending to deal with the man in front of him.

"Yo! Samurai!" Roger happily greeted him, then drew his famous sword, Ace.

[Kamisari!]

The strike directly hit Kozuki Oden's abdomen, sending him flying backward, spitting blood.

He crashed through one towering ancient tree after another, finally embedding his body into the trunk of an ancient tree that resembled rock.

Kozuki Oden was completely stunned by the attack. Blood streamed from his forehead, but he paid no attention, his mind filled with the image of Roger smiling as he sent him flying.

Prying himself out of the tree trunk, he still said in disbelief, "What was that?"

Then he dashed forward again, charging at Roger. "Damn it! I can't accept this!"

Just then, he saw Whitebeard's figure above him, also moving towards the enemy who had just sent him flying.

Without dialogue, without even the names of techniques, Conquerors Haki Infusion enveloped their weapons, and the naginata Murakumogiri and Roger's Ace were swung fiercely.

Both faces bore arrogant, wild laughs, as if they were greeting each other.

Their weapons didn't truly collide, but an irresistible force seemed to compress and clash between them.

Earth and stone scattered like waves, many were thrown back by the aftermath of this power, and even the seawater outside the island was affected. The clouds in the sky were once again completely blasted away.

Nero also arrived at the scene, watching this spectacle, feeling very excited, holding Primal Fire in her hand, somewhat eager to join.

Finally, the two stopped their struggle and pulled back some distance from each other.

Whitebeard slammed Murakumogiri heavily onto the ground, and Roger also plunged Ace into the earth. (Ace: "Do you know why I call Whitebeard 'Dad' now?")

"You're looking good, Roger!"

"How many years has it been, Newgate!"

After their greetings, both burst into laughter simultaneously, both looking extremely happy.

Nero was somewhat speechless watching them. How did Roger seem so confident and masculine, even more charming than herself, a beautiful woman?

Roger and Whitebeard, as if hearing Nero's thoughts, simultaneously stopped laughing.

"Leave your belongings!" x2

Then the battle erupted instantly!

Roger and Whitebeard!

Rayleigh and Marco!

Jabba and Kozuki Oden!

...Everyone fought in a chaotic melee as if by agreement. Nero also looked around, picking and choosing until she found a suitable target, then charged forward with her sword.

This battle lasted for three days and three nights. On the second day, when it rained, Nero even took the time to go back to the ship for a bath.

By the evening of the third day, both sides were exhausted. Even the apprentices Shanks and Buggy had turned fierce, standing back to back with their weapons, glaring at the enemy.

However, by the fourth day, both sides were sitting together, exchanging gifts, though most people appeared rather poor due to gambling.

'Monopoly' Rayleigh stood high up, calmly watching the harmonious crowd and sighing speechlessly.

His gaze swept around, and he frowned slightly, asking in a puzzled voice, "Where's Nero?"
