Chapter 6 - Chapter 6

There was silence over the phone before Mr. Paulson's voice came through.

"Oh, do you mean that it's not you who wants to marry my daughter, but your son?" He asked, a wave of disbelief washing over his features.

"Yes. It's my grandson. But he is requesting to see your daughter's photos before he comes to pick her up tomorrow to avoid any unnecessary confusion. Also, to see if he would like her," Mr. Sullivan said, while the call went silent.

"Of course. I will send my pretty daughter's photo to you. She is very beautiful, and your son will like her," Mr. Paulson said, his early happiness returning.

"Not my son, but my grandson. He's waiting to see her photo, so send it to my chat account now," Mr. Sullivan replied calmly, before the call came to an end.

"Do you see? I told you that your bride's family are good people. They want the money, but they also want the marriage, irrespective of whether I am old and I made the rule that I cannot function as a man," Mr. Sullivan joked, while Nicolas' brows furrowed.

"Grandpa, I still find it hard to believe that a woman would be willing to marry you without any selfish interest. So it's not a genuine marriage," Nicolas threw his assumption open in the air, but Grandpa Daniel waved it off.

"I already made my choice among all the people that accepted my offer. The Paulson family met my requirements of a virgin bride," he said, and Nicolas' brows furrowed.

Standing up on his feet to stretch his legs, Nicolas said, "Grandpa, I do not need a virgin. Where did you learn that I am obsessed with that kind of woman?"

"Relax. See, they have sent the photos."

Meanwhile, at the Paulson's mansion. Immediately the call ended, Mr. Paulson looked at his two daughters.

While Cindy stood out with a big bust and an extremely slender figure, as she had big buttọcks too, Tasha was slightly fuller and average and not as tall as Cindy, but Cindy radiated more charm and allure.

"Honey, what's the matter?" Mabel asked, walking up to meet her husband to find out what the call was about.

"Babe, Mr. Sullivan has just cleared the air. He said that it's his grandson, Nicolas Sullivan, who is getting married to our daughter and not him."

"What? That handsome man and billionaire. What are you waiting for? Send Tasha's information to him quickly. So we would have lost him to Cindy," Mabel said, a wave of disbelief washing over her features as she hadn't expected such a twist.

"Mom, are you sure that it's not a setup? What if Mr. Sullivan is lying, and it's not his grandson who wants to marry me, but him? I heard the rumors that Nicolas Sullivan is gay. How can he be my husband?" Tasha pouted, her arms crossed over her chest.

Meanwhile, Cindy was stunned to hear that Nicolas is the actual person who wanted to marry her. How would he react when they met and he got to realize that she was the same woman who had dared to kiss him in a restaurant?

Cindy trembled at the mention of Nicolas's name, as his rich, honey scent lingered in her mouth. The way his body had stilled against hers. How his mouth refused to respond to her kiss, and she shamelessly kissed his lips in public, sent a wave of embarrassment crashing over her.

Cindy didn't want to come across Nicolas, and it's best that Tasha got married to him. Her face flamed red, and she heard her selfish stepmom say with a stern voice, "Listen to me, Tasha. This is for the best. If it's not Nicolas that is coming to marry you, then you will divorce the old man."

"What if the old man refuses to divorce me? I cannot marry an old man. My friends will laugh at me." Tasha refused, shaking her head firmly, but her mother snapped, "Do you want to lose Nicolas to Cindy? It's your only chance to marry a wealthy billionaire. Think about it. I have forwarded your pictures to them."

Mabel smiled with confidence before her gaze fell on Cindy.

"Cindy, you don't have to worry about getting married to Mr. Sullivan again. You can go back to your job. Come on, Tasha. You need to get ready for your wedding. Do not forget that you have to receive some lectures," Mabel whispered in gentle murmurs, leading Tasha back into the house.

"But, Mom. What if this is a false marriage? I don't want a 'Beauty and the Beast' wedding," she protested, her eyes filled with tears.

"Be happy, Tasha. You have to prepare yourself. Mr. Sullivan said that his grandson will be here to pick you up tomorrow," Mabel said, her tone firm and resolute.

Not having any other option, Tasha nodded and relaxed. "Fine, Mom. But you know that I am not a virgin. You don't expect me to be a virgin at 22."

"Shut up, we already lied to the Sullivans that you're a virgin, and you have to stick to that, okay?"

"What if Mr. Sullivan wants to sleep with me and find out?" Tasha asked worriedly.

"I will give you chicken blood to pour on the bed. Just ensure that you make him believe that it's your blood," Mabel said firmly, disappointed at her daughter's reckless life. She wasn't anything compared to Cindy.

"Alright, Mom. Let's pray it works. How about Cindy? What if she tells Mr. Sullivan that she was supposed to be his wife?" Tasha demanded, looking at her mom's face.

"It will be too late by then. You will already have earned the title as Mrs. Sullivan and also have given birth to Nicolas," Mabel replied firmly.

Tasha smiled and hugged her mother. "You're the best, Mom. I cannot wait for tomorrow to arrive." She giggled amidst her mother's embrace.

"Me too," Mabel replied, sighing heavily.

"I will go talk to Cindy now," Mabel said and let go of her daughter before walking out of the room.
