The air shifted.
Red stood before the ancient door of the first-floor boss chamber, his skeletal fingers resting against its surface. The door was massive—towering, thick, and engraved with runes so old that even the dungeon mana hesitated around them.
"I teleported here after feeding," Red muttered. "Let's see if the dungeon can satisfy me further."
Behind him, Cuttey—now a full-grown black wolf with crimson eyes—lowered his body instinctively. The pressure leaking from beyond the door was unlike anything they had faced before.
Red pushed.
The door groaned, ancient mechanisms screaming as it slowly opened.
Mana exploded outward.
The boss room revealed itself—a vast circular chamber with a ceiling so high it vanished into darkness. The air was thick, heavy, almost liquid with mana density. Pools of translucent slime covered the floor, bubbling slowly as if alive.
At the center of the chamber stood it.
A colossal slime.
It was at least twenty meters tall, its body glowing with shifting colors of green, blue, and black. Lightning-like veins of mana pulsed through its gelatinous form. Every movement distorted space itself.
The Slime God.
Red's crimson eyes burned brighter.
"So this is the floor boss," he said calmly. "You're about a hundred times stronger than the others… good."
The Slime God reacted.
Its body expanded suddenly, releasing an overwhelming wave of pressure. The ground cracked, pillars shattered, and the dungeon itself groaned under its presence.
Cuttey growled low.
Red smiled.
"Let the fight begin."
He raised his skeletal hand.
"Fireball."
A massive sphere of compressed flame formed instantly and shot forward, slamming into the Slime God's core.
The explosion lit the entire chamber.
But the Slime God barely flinched.
Its body rippled—and then the entire ceiling darkened.
Acid Rain.
Countless droplets of corrosive slime fell like a storm. The floor hissed violently as the acid melted stone instantly.
Red stood still.
The acid touched his bones—and evaporated.
"No effect," he noted coldly.
But then—
"Cuttaya!"
The wolf howled in pain.
Acid burned into Cuttey's flesh, melting fur and tearing into muscle. He staggered, collapsing to one knee as smoke rose from his body.
Red's aura exploded.
His crimson eyes flared violently.
"You useless slime," he snarled. "I will kill you."
He activated a skill instinctively.
"Three Claws of the Wolf."
Dark crimson slashes tore through the air—three massive claw-shaped arcs infused with demonic mana. They struck the Slime God directly.
The boss's body split in half.
The chamber shook violently.
The Slime God screeched, its core exposed briefly—
—but then its body reconnected.
Regeneration.
At the same time, a system notification appeared near Cuttey.
[New Skill Acquired]
Acid Resistance – Passive
Skin Regeneration – Active
Cuttey roared.
His flesh regenerated rapidly, black fur growing back as his body adapted to the corrosive environment.
Red noticed.
"…Good."
The Slime God retaliated.
Poisonous mist flooded the room, thick enough to choke even monsters.
Red raised his hand calmly.
"Holy Light of Luminous."
A radiant white-gold light erupted from his body, sweeping across the chamber. The poison evaporated instantly, purged by overwhelming purification.
The Slime God recoiled.
Anger surged through it.
Its body expanded again—this time spawning dozens… no, hundreds of lesser slimes, all forming a living shield around its core.
Red drew his sword.
Mana surged.
"Area Authority: Lightning."
The ceiling cracked open with a massive magic circle. Ancient runes burned into existence as divine lightning rained down relentlessly.
Every slime was annihilated.
The dungeon echoed with thunder.
Only the Slime God remained—its body trembling, regeneration slowing.
Red stepped forward.
Sword held low.
Posture sharp.
His stance resembled a predator ready to strike—fluid, precise, merciless. His movement echoed the calm killing intent of a master swordsman.
Like Kokushibo.
One step.
Two steps.
The Slime God attempted to retreat—
Too late.
Red leaped.
His sword cleaved downward with terrifying precision.
The Slime God's body split apart.
The core shattered.
The boss screamed once—
—and then dissolved completely.
Silence followed.
The system appeared.

Red landed softly.
He stared at the notification.
"…That's a massive increase," he said quietly. "Skills… kill count… everything."
His gaze darkened.
"But it's not enough."
His hunger returned violently.
Stronger.
Sharper.
"…Human flesh," he whispered. "It tastes too good."
Cuttey stepped beside him, tail low, eyes glowing.
Red placed a skeletal hand on the wolf's head.
"Soon," he said. "We'll leave the dungeon."
"And when we do…"
His crimson eyes gleamed with madness.
"The hunt will expand."
—
Far away.
In the Netherworld.
Lusifero sat upon his throne, watching through an unseen connection.
He smiled slowly.
"So it begins," the Demon King murmured.
"The true nature of a vampire…"
The screen of mana faded.
And the dungeon trembled once more.
