Chapter 123 - Chapter 124 Red Skull: This is too hard for me

The cabin wasn't large, but it was fully equipped with all the necessities of life, even some small decorations that Phineas had imagined.

However, these things would suddenly disappear if one wasn't careful, which was the current drawback of the items created by Phineas' Golden Grand Evolution Technique.

They were maintained by thought, and the more complex the thing, the more determined and focused one's thought needed to be. If one was not careful and shifted their thoughts even slightly, the created item might disappear.

"Where did all these things come from?" The Red Skull, who floated into the cabin, looked at everything around him and couldn't help but exclaim in surprise.

He had personally witnessed Phineas being teleported here alone. If the armor could be explained by technology, then this cabin and these pieces of furniture couldn't be explained by technology alone.

  "This is my power."

Finney was too lazy to explain the Soul Stone, but his impression of Red Skull wasn't too bad, so he replied casually.

Looking around again, Red Skull became even more determined to pull Finney into Hydra. If not, he worried that even without Steve, Hydra, Finney's enemy, would eventually be finished. He didn't want the organization to disappear.

Although the Golden Grand Evolution Technique was much more powerful, things created couldn't last forever. After Finney's best efforts and three hours of persistence, the cabin naturally disappeared.

Even so, Finney was still happy and excited. Unfortunately, he hadn't persisted long enough, and he didn't understand spaceships. Otherwise, creating a spaceship and flying back to Earth would have been a way to get home.

Having discovered the mysteries of the Golden Evolution Technique, Finney became too lazy to even think about his sleeping place and began relentlessly testing its true power.

Through testing, he discovered that the simpler and more determined the idea, the easier it was to realize and maintain. At the same time, the more he understood and the more confident he was in what he created, the less energy he expended and the easier it was to succeed.

Finney was having a great time testing things, but he angered the Soul Stone, which couldn't decipher Finney's system even after staring at it for a long time.

Suddenly, clouds gathered in the sky, lightning flashed, and amidst a deafening roar, the Soul Stone, glowing orange

, appeared before Finney for the first time. Red Skull calmly watched all this. After the previous shock, his tolerance had increased dramatically. He could remain unfazed even if Captain America suddenly appeared before him, let alone the Soul Stone.

Seeing the Soul Stone suddenly appear, Finney wasn't surprised. Instead, he took a few steps back warily, keeping a safe distance. His

previous curiosity had led him to this point, and he wouldn't make the same mistake again.

  "Your body is too weak!"

Just as Finney was pondering the Soul Stone's sudden appearance, he heard this remark in his mind, and his face darkened.

"You're already very strong on Earth!"

Finney couldn't help but retort. While it was true that his body was quite weak, perhaps unable to withstand even a bullet, and he had been relying on the protection of the evil spirits surrounding him until now, he was still very strong compared to ordinary people.

"Why do you care if my body is weak or not!"

Finney couldn't help but retort. Judging from the Soul Stone's tone, was it planning to actively surrender?

"Nothing much, I just feel that even if you get me, you won't be able to unleash my power."

Finney's face stiffened, and he instantly realized that these broken stones were indeed all the same. The Space Stone could teleport him here quite arbitrarily, so how much better could the Soul Stone be? He wondered what kind of personality the Time Stone in the Ancient One's hands had.

In fact, Finney didn't know that the six Infinity Stones had almost never actively communicated with anyone or demonstrated their intelligence since their creation.

Finney was almost the first person to communicate with the Soul Stone in this way. Even Red Skull was only given a task and didn't truly communicate with the Soul Stone.

"I don't want you either. What's so great about a mere broken stone!"

Finney stubbornly insisted, his words contradicting his true feelings.

If it were possible to obtain it without paying an agent, would he not want the Soul Stone? Of course not, he'd be out of his mind.

He even desperately wanted the Soul Stone, as it might solve a problem he desperately wanted to resolve:

the separation of Hulk and Banner's souls!

The Soul Stone was considered an authority on the soul; if even the Infinity Stone couldn't solve it, then Hulk and Banner's separation would be truly impossible.

"There's something in your soul that doesn't belong to this universe!"

This was the Soul Stone's conjecture and conclusion after carefully observing Finney, but this situation aroused its curiosity.

These were the six singularities that existed since the beginning of the universe; if there was something they couldn't comprehend, it could only be something that existed before the universe's creation, perhaps not belonging to this universe.

The Soul Stone determined that Finney's situation belonged to the latter!

  "Ha, I didn't, I'm not, don't talk nonsense!"

Although surprised by the Soul Stone's words, Finney wasn't alarmed by the discovery of his secret. He calmly denied it, regardless of whether it was true or not, as long as he didn't admit it.

He knew that the power of the System surpassed that of the Infinity Stones when he tried to cheat by asking the Ancient One for help. This was his basis for facing the Soul Stone's denial; he was certain the Soul Stone couldn't discover or touch his System.

The Soul Stone remained silent, seemingly without evidence to refute Finney's denial.

"Speaking of which, we haven't discussed compensation yet."

Taking advantage of this opportunity, Finney immediately changed the subject, not wanting the Soul Stone to continue spying on him.

  "Compensation!?"

The Soul Stone gleamed with an orange light.

"You don't think I came here willingly, do you? In this godforsaken place, keeping you two company, a rock and a skeleton?!"

"But I didn't ask you to come!"

The Soul Stone felt inexplicably aggrieved.

"But it was because of you that it teleported me here, so you have a responsibility too!"

Finney stared at the Soul Stone before him, considering whether to summon the Blue-Eyes White Dragon. If he couldn't eat the Space Stone, tasting the Soul Stone seemed like a good alternative.

But Finney ultimately didn't do it. In truth, after learning that these gem-like creatures possessed intelligence, he had already given up hope that the Blue-Eyes White Dragon could absorb the Space Stone's energy.

However, even if they don't hug, Finney will still definitely settle accounts with the Space Stone when they get back. Anyway, the Blue-Eyes White Dragon is essentially a skill, like being haunted by a demon, so there's no need to worry about too many problems.

  "What do you want?"

The simple Soul Stone compromised. Its ability to establish a rule of exchanging souls proves it's the most reasonable.

  "What do you have?"

Finney, surprised by how easy it was, looked at the Soul Stone with delight.

The Soul Stone glowed, then seemed to slightly rotate, finally facing the Red Skull.

  Red Skull: ???
