Auryn hung suspended three meters above the breach floor, shadow spikes holding him in place like a marionette with strings pulled too tight.
Each spike that had pierced his body throbbed and drained his strength forming a crimson pool underneath his body.
Above him, the demon's spider-form moved with suave. It's humanoid torso inspected his prize with blind white eyes that somehow saw everything.
"Have no worries… Dragon prince," he gestured with one fused-black hand toward Auryn's suspended form.
"Your death won't be worthless, it will be my ascension." The demon's smile widened impossibly far.
"So..be proud," he concluded with hands stretched out.
His spider legs carried him closer slowly, savoring the moment before the kill.
Auryn's blurry eyes tracked the demon's approach. He wanted to transform and rip this abomination apart. But his body wouldn't respond.
The shadow spikes didn't just hold him back physically but also drank his strength with every passing breath.
