Chapter 27 - Flying Thunder God Upgraded — Stepping into the Objective!

"Uchiha Arata, I'll kill you!!"

In the end, accompanied by a shrill howl of anguish, Sasuke's very first day of school finally came to an end.

Before entering the academy, he had been high-spirited and arrogant.

Even roadside dogs would've had to take two slaps from him.

After entering the academy, however, he was miserable—body and soul utterly exhausted.

All he wanted was to escape this place.

If that didn't work—then destroy the school!

So the moment the teacher announced dismissal, Sasuke could no longer suppress the killing intent in his heart. He bolted straight back toward the Uchiha clan compound.

Revenge!

He had to make that damn man pay in blood!

In just one single day, he'd lived like a zoo monkey.

Observed by countless girls with gazes full of concern, pity, or sympathy.

And from their chatter, he'd finally learned one horrifying truth—

His reputation… had been murdered.

All kinds of bizarre, ridiculous rumors stacked together could easily fill a two-million-word novel!

Yet they'd all been neatly piled onto his head.

As for who did it?

Obviously, there was only one culprit—that outrageous bastard!

He was furious.

Anger only made things worse.

Burning with rage, Sasuke charged home like a little bull that had seen red.

And Jin—

Was that red cloth.

"Uchiha Arata! Get out here! Get your ass out here!"

"You bastard! How dare you ruin my reputation?!"

"Damn you! What are you trying to do?!"

...

Amid the shouting, Uchiha Mikoto leaned against the doorway, her expression filled with concern.

"What kind of stimulation did Sasuke get today…?"

Beside her, Uchiha Fugaku said nothing, but the twitching at the corner of his eye simply wouldn't stop.

He hesitated, then glanced at his still-graceful wife and said quietly,

"How about… we start over and raise another one?"

"What do you mean 'start over'? Jin's always spouting nonsense—Fugaku, how can you—"

Mikoto's face flushed red as she poked her husband in the waist.

"Ow ow ow! That hurts, that hurts!"

"Ah—right, I just remembered there's a clan meeting later. I'll be off then…"

...

On the other side.

Jin left the academy with a deeply satisfied smile on his face.

"As expected of a class packed with geniuses—everyone's got at least some kind of trait!"

He'd talked so much today that his throat was dry enough to smoke.

But the results were astonishing!

[Chatted for ten minutes. Congratulations, Host, on obtaining Elite Trait: Simple Temperament (Green).]

[Chatted for ten minutes. Congratulations, Host, on obtaining Common Trait: Strong Physique (White).]

[Chakra Refinement (Green), Kunai Proficiency (White)…]

Today's copy success rate seemed abnormally high—

Nearly fifty traits in total!

That was almost three months' worth of progress under normal circumstances.

"System, fuse all the white traits into Flying Thunder God."

[Fusion successful. Flying Thunder God Technique improved. Teleport distance +1.]

[Fusion successful. Flying Thunder God Technique improved…]

As one white and green trait after another disappeared, the range of Flying Thunder God steadily increased.

At a certain point, when the final white trait vanished, the prompt changed.

[Fusion successful. Flying Thunder God Technique (Gold) lv6 → lv7.

Maximum teleport distance increased to 1000 meters.

Chakra consumption: 80–1000.]

"Huh… it finally leveled up again?"

Jin was a bit surprised.

"One kilometer… that really opens up a lot of possibilities."

Konoha was not small.

This was something he'd discovered over years of casually chatting with people.

In fact, it was huge.

In the original story it looked like just a village, but in reality it was more like a major city.

Not just shinobi—large numbers of civilians lived here as well.

Previously, using Flying Thunder God meant activating it again and again—

Like a long-distance Blink with no cooldown.

Now?

That Blink had evolved.

A full kilometer meant instant teleportation—no cooldown, no wind-up.

After glancing around, Jin's heart stirred, and he walked behind a tree.

In the next instant—

Whoosh.

He vanished.

Not long after he disappeared, a disturbance suddenly rippled through the treetop.

Hatake Kakashi poked his head out, rubbing his temple with a puzzled look.

"Gone?"

"Was that thing I tracked just a Transformation Technique?"

Ever since their last encounter, he'd grown curious about this Uchiha kid.

Which was why he'd started dropping in for surprise inspections from time to time.

But this time—

That boy had vanished right under his nose!

Sniffing the faint chakra residue left in the air, Kakashi frowned slightly.

"Not a Transformation Technique… not a Shadow Clone either…"

"Strange. This chakra… why does it feel kind of familiar…?"

His brows knitted together as a vague sense of recognition surfaced.

After hesitating, he pulled down his mask and snapped his right eye open!

In an instant, a flash of crimson appeared.

The Sharingan spun rapidly as he carefully analyzed the lingering traces.

He even clapped his hands together, summoning Pakkun to help sniff.

Soon, led by the dog, one man and one dog headed toward the outskirts of the village.

After their figures disappeared—

Jin suddenly emerged from behind the tree, a faint smile at the corner of his eye.

"Not bad. A dog's nose really is something else."

"Too bad I've got business tonight, so I can't chat with you, Fifty-Fifty."

With that, he turned and headed in another direction.

He'd already spotted Kakashi right as he left the village gates earlier.

Unfortunately, Kakashi was still under conversation cooldown.

Besides, what Jin planned to do tonight wasn't exactly something he wanted people knowing about.

Following the principle of less trouble is better, Jin had used a combination of Shadow Clone, Transformation—

And Flying Thunder God—

All to divert Kakashi away.

Rustle, rustle.

Not long after Jin left, the tree trunk rustled again.

Kakashi pushed aside the leaves and looked toward the direction Jin had disappeared, the exposed brow above his mask lifting slightly.

"Young. Mysterious, sure—but still just a kid. Too little experience…"

"But… sneaking around like this. Something feels off about him today…"

For some reason, a spark of curiosity ignited in his heart.

With a flicker of motion, he followed.

He wanted to see exactly what Jin was up to.

Tap tap tap.

As he moved swiftly, the residential areas gradually thinned out.

Large trees and exposed rock formations became more frequent.

Human presence steadily decreased.

By the time night fell—

A massive cemetery slowly came into view.

"A cemetery? What's this kid doing here?"

"And that is—Teacher's grave?!"
