The next day, in Orario—inside the Guild.
According to Guild regulations, after any Familia grants blessings to new members, those members must come to the Guild to register. Thus, that morning, Seele and Sakura arrived here together.
At one of the service counters on the first floor lobby—
"Hello, could you please help register Seele and little sister Sakura as adventurers?"
Seele asked softly to the Guild staff behind the window.
"Huh? Just you two young girls here to register?"
The female half-elf clerk, who was in the middle of her work, looked at Seele and Sakura with some surprise.
To be honest, Eina wasn't unfamiliar with young adventurers. In some slightly larger Familias, it wasn't uncommon for children who showed talent early to be taken in by a god and granted blessings at a young age.
The most famous example was Ais from the Loki Familia—she had registered as an adventurer when she was barely over six years old. Compared to that, while Seele and Sakura looked young, their registering as adventurers wasn't particularly shocking.
What truly puzzled Eina was why these two girls weren't accompanied by any older Familia seniors.
"Since it's just a simple registration, Seele can bring Sakura along by herself. There's no need to trouble other people to come with us,"
Seele explained, seemingly noticing Eina's doubt.
Eina nodded.
"That's true, but for newcomers your age, it's still best to move together with adult Familia seniors. Even if you don't plan to enter the Dungeon, running into ill-intentioned adventurers could still be dangerous."
Many rookie adventurers would recklessly head into the Dungeon right after registering, but Eina didn't suspect Seele of lying.
After all, even the greenest adventurer should know that entering the Dungeon required at least a weapon—and right now, both Seele and Sakura were empty-handed. That suggested they really were just here to register, not planning to head straight into the Dungeon.
"Seele… fifteen years old. Sakura… ten years old. Both from the Hestia Familia…"
After spending a bit of time completing the paperwork, Eina looked up at the two girls.
"All set. If you plan to enter the Dungeon later, make sure to find a reliable party to explore with. At your age, going in alone would be far too dangerous."
Seele and Sakura thanked her for the kind reminder and then left the Guild.
What Eina didn't know was that after leaving the Guild, Seele led Sakura to an unoccupied corner. Seele placed a hand on Sakura's shoulder—and in the next instant, both of them vanished from where they stood, reappearing inside the Dungeon.
"This is the fifth floor of the Dungeon. Let's head deeper in and hunt a few monsters,"
Seele said to Sakura beside her.
"Mm, then let's explore further down,"
Sakura nodded, pulling out a simple wooden wand.
Since Sakura had only just been manifested recently, and had only been actively developing her talent for about a day, her magical power was nowhere near enough to condense the Star Wand like in the original story. As for the bird-shaped wand she used early on, it hadn't been manifested either due to An Xora's lack of funds.
As a result, Sakura could only make do with a small wand purchased from a weapon shop.
Fortunately, unlike her original self, Sakura wasn't particularly dependent on a staff anymore. With her talent being actively developed, whether it was creating magic cards, using them, or manipulating magic in other ways, the wand was now more of a tool to improve efficiency rather than an indispensable key.
If she wanted, Sakura could still use her powers even without a wand. She kept it mainly to avoid drawing attention—and to look more "normal."
Seeing Sakura take out her wand, Seele also summoned her scythe with a wave of her hand, and the two of them advanced together into the depths of the Dungeon.
The Dungeon was a massive and peculiar labyrinth, divided into many floors. The deeper the floor, the larger its area—and the more dangerous the monsters.
That was exactly why Seele had skipped the first five floors altogether. Although those early floors were the smallest in size, they housed over eighty percent of Orario's adventurers.
On the upper floors, adventurers practically competed for monsters. The moment a monster spawned, it would be swarmed and killed almost instantly.
So if one didn't want to compete for kills, the only option was to start deeper.
Sure enough, after leaving the fifth floor and arriving at the sixth, there were no other adventurers in sight—and the two soon encountered monsters.
"Grrr—!"
On the Dungeon walls, areas that looked no different from ordinary stone suddenly began to writhe, splitting open into several gaps.
From those gaps emerged several humanoid creatures resembling wolves.
The moment they landed, their red-glowing eyes locked viciously onto Seele and Sakura.
They were Kobolds—a common monster in the upper nine floors of the Dungeon. With wolf-like heads and sturdy bodies, they excelled at attacking adventurers with sharp fangs and claws.
Facing a pack of six or seven kobolds, Seele made no move to act.
Instead, Sakura focused intently and raised her hand. A pink card appeared in her palm.
"O wind, please blow away the filth, and carry off the enemies before me!"
Woooo—
Driven by Sakura's magic, the once-dormant card lit up. A violent gale erupted, sweeping away all the kobolds in an instant.
The [Wind] card—one of the cards Sakura had condensed using her own magic before entering the Dungeon. Along with [Jump] and [Fly], it was one of the most frequently used, workhorse cards in the original story.
As one of the four elemental cards—earth, water, fire, and wind—the [Wind] Card's power was undeniable. Under the storm's onslaught, all the kobolds died and dissipated, even their magic stones crumbling into dust.
After dealing with the kobolds, Seele and Sakura continued deeper into the Dungeon.
Since their primary purpose was to let Sakura train her magical power, most of the battles were handled by Sakura herself. Seele only occasionally swung her scythe, casually cutting down a few monsters along the way.
